Nice job! I love the little legs on the dude. It would've been cool if lava expanded during the level, reducing the space of the maze you can go.

Graphics maybe needs some love! It's a nice idea, but it surely lacks polishing. Improve it in a post jam version!
I also got stuck on a wall stuck.png
Thanks for your work and have a nice day :)
Very nice music, but the collision is very glitchy. Also not much gameplay just trial and error
Technically interesting game, I managed to reach level 8 on my first try, those zombies are like, 'haha surprise (life = life -1 )." Keep making more awesome stuff :)
Nice game! Apart from than the graphics and wall glitching it was a nice play.
@memel06 Yea I ran out of time with what I wanted to do so i had to go a little more yuck then I wanted. And I'm sad to see you got stuck, I'll work on the collision detection a bit more. It was different with ECS Hybrid so i was still wrapping my head around the differences. I should have put a "get unstuck" button. :) thanks for taking the time to play.
@somuch My son wanted the zombies, and he wanted them to chase you, I ran out of time to get the A* pathfinding working. I was using ECS Hybrid for the player controller and the new tilemap stuff from unity. I had been use dto use spritetile in the past and the unity stock stuff is "different" enough that it threw me for a loop. Thanks for playing.
@marcel-oyuela-bonzani yea that is one thing i wanted to do, but I'm still getting a handle on how to scope things during a jam. I think this one was more complete then the last one, but hopefully next time it's even "better".
@truc-e thanks for the feedback, yea i need to work on the collisions but ran out of time trying to go too big. What gameplay ideas do you think would have helped? My kids actually want me to keep working on this so they can play it, they enjoy puzzle games. Thanks for taking the time to answer. :)
Would be cool if i did not have to restart at level 1 each time i die. The movement is very smooth which made the game quite fun.
Nothing wrong with maze games, but I will quibble on how it fits the theme which is running out of space, not time (and unfortunately for you I played a maze game earlier today which had a shrinking world space to fit the theme).
Is there a reason some insta-death blocks are red and some are blue? I guess its to help you figure out whereabouts in the maze you are?
Sorry you had time issues, as it obviously hampered what you could put together in time to make the deadline, but you did at least get a fully working game together in time!
@leave you can hit 'retry level' on the right and you start the same level over again unless you ran out of lives. At least you should.
@mrnyarlathotep was supposed to be lava & water, i never got time to finish the shaders for them. :) And I wanted to have the tiles fall apart as time passed but I did a bad job scoping. Thanks so much for the feed back. :)
I enjoyed the 5 minutes i played for. Not sure it fit the theme though. Maybe run the game in revers order. The levels get smaller and more difficult, requiring more fineness in your movement. The last level could require pixel perfect movement to get to a flag that you can see from the spawn point .
Love the idea and the theme of your game ( you run out of time but not of space however ^^) as said above extending lava to reduce available space could be a great idea ! controls are a bit rought and collision are a bit glitchy, but nice work !
@krapht hah yea as i played it i realized the start was probably too hard, and backwards. Thanks for checking it out.
@fivenamefivesocks thanks for checking it out. Yea I need to get better at my time management. The janky collisions were less janky then after my first pass lol. Thank you for the feedback.
