Original game! It's a really nice approach of the theme and it's really fun to play!

bekovski 2018-08-14 01:07

Fun, Innovation, Theme, Graphics, Humor, Mood ... no bias or anything, it's honestly a 5 star for each. Good job guys =D

The game is also quite challenging since you have to multitask: place students, kick out some others, and evade paper planes. On top of that you have to watch out for the profs temper.

A bit of constructive criticism: Highlighting the controls in the tutorial, and giving an option to turn off music/sfx would be nice. It's pretty hard to keep the temper in check once it's a bit high up. A cool idea would be to have nerds in the lecture who make the prof feel a bit better (:

wirkilichkeinbaum 2018-08-14 01:14

@bekovski Highlighting controls probably would have been a good idea.

We also had ideas for differnt types of students. Some that annoy others around them. Creeps that grant more points when seated next to studends of the opposite gender. Stuff like that. Sadly we just didn't have enough time to implement them.

krapht 2018-08-14 01:22

That was tough. I wasn't able to beat it:{. I'm not cut out to be a teacher.

artbohr 2018-08-14 01:27

Nice game, I liked the extra struggle to manage the teacher while sitting the students, cool graphics and nice idea, well done!

craigduth 2018-08-14 01:30

Really nice mechanics, I did find it hard to focus on the left and right at the same time. But fun game nonetheless!

mistersdevelopment 2018-08-14 01:34

Really liked the art and humor. Definitely a hard game though. I had trouble managing the distracted students.

jlv 2018-08-14 01:45

A lot of really great things to say about that one ! While the gameplay would benefit a lot from being introduced to the player step by step, it is definitely enthralling once the class is set in motion, with a good balance between reflexes and thoughtful chalk-em-up action ! I also really enjoyed the details of the faces of the students, and the humor hits home more than once. If anything, and as said earlier, the gameplay starts off being a little obscure, and the life of the teacher seems to behave according to some kind of black magic. But all in all, great job, guys !

jan 2018-08-14 01:48

Very cool. I found it difficult to get my students to sit down, but I really like the whole idea here!

wirkilichkeinbaum 2018-08-14 01:56

@jlv Yeah, we would have preferred to slowly introduce all the mechanics but barely got the current tutorial ready in time. Next time I'll try to keep in mind to take more time for a proper tutorial.

powerauer 2018-08-14 03:10

definitely not a game for a touch pad! so I had went and grabbed my mouse to play again. Had fun with it and found it pretty challenging to avoid the paper airplanes. Loved the little touches of the sound effects. Great job!

ad31 2018-08-14 03:44

I could't keep up with all the things to do but it was a bit of fun.Capture d’écran de 2018-08-14 05-37-22.png

ashment 2018-08-14 04:01

Fun game! It is quite challenging to let the students sit in empty seats and at the same time looking for students who are not focusing on class.

pixelstuff 2018-08-14 09:10

That was pretty challenging to take care of prof, student and this **** planes haha

Good job !

polona 2018-08-14 11:31

Great game

madbeagle 2018-08-14 11:46

Great idea, my first 5/5 for innovation in LD42.

draeskai 2018-08-14 12:52

That's a funny game, and having the control of the teacher and the students is challenging in a really cool way. Nice job!

masterclavat 2018-08-14 13:39

It's simple and fun with great attention to detail. Quite original. This game showed me how bad I am at multitasking. Thanks for that :)

oneiros 2018-08-14 14:30

Very innovative and funny! I loved playing it :)

monyandere 2018-08-14 15:51

That's a funny idea. The sound effect and theme song are really good. It's just a little bit hard for me to keep up with everything.

foomar 2018-08-14 15:57

@monyandere Thanks for your feedback and your encouragement on your game. Ours doesn't have a special prize for winning though

tomi 2018-08-14 16:40

It was a fun game, really like the game concept thought it was an endless game until the game over popup came up

carvster 2018-08-14 17:34

Fun game! very original definitely quite difficult to keep on top of it all controlling so much in the game but it all just adds to the fun!

2lol555 2018-08-14 17:40

A fun game definitely. I had a lot of problem with the multi tasking. Maybe if you didn't need to seat them after telling them to go sit down it would be a bit less all over the place. Otherwise I really enjoyed! Good job!

astericon 2018-08-14 17:59

Didn't expect the ending . Loved playing it!

ziamor 2018-08-14 18:47

Was that not expecting that death animation haha

loonydrope 2018-08-14 18:57

I really like this game!

The idea is original and well executed. I really appreciated the little details of the graphics, and the changing environment as you keep trying. It is sometimes a bit hard to see the objects of distracted students, but the sound effects help a lot. (and they are great)

You did great job!

(I guess you used godot?)

foomar 2018-08-14 19:08

@loonydrope Thank you for the feedback! Yes we used Godot 2. Since not everyone had hardware with OpenGL 3.3 support we couldn't use the newer one.

loonydrope 2018-08-14 20:53

This is the error I made with my game. I used goodot 3 and the web versìon does not run with all browsers.

Thanks for your answer!

andreas-roschal 2018-08-14 22:40

Wow, that are some fatal paper planes, I need to say. Awesome game :)

g4mr 2018-08-15 00:54

This was pretty creative lol, my highest score was 2350. I was surprised when the first airplane took my head off. Lol

awix 2018-08-15 07:34

A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)

bmopapa 2018-08-15 09:04

It's funny and cute! I'm really good at killing the professor! lol

goda 2018-08-15 10:06

It's pretty challenging managing everything you're supposed to be doing during the game: move the professor to avoid paper planes, click on students to sit down/ kick out. But that's what makes it fun! it makes you want to keep trying again and over a couple of tries you do improve! great multitasking game! loved the over exaggerated death. For improvements, I think changing up the music as an indication that the bar is almost full would help in knowing how close you are to dying.

mr-madcat 2018-08-15 11:48

Really cool. High score on innovation. And pretty hilarious. The only nitpick would be that it is not always as clear, which row the students will enter. But it is a small detail.

Overall, good job folks!

tetra 2018-08-16 20:15

I didn't realise what I had to do at first, didn't even use the mouse until my third playthrough. Some instructions on what to do in the page bio at least would have been good. Cool graphics, i like the unique students and the general style is very nice.

darylsteak 2018-08-17 10:00

This was a funny and nicely done game. Good job.

A small tutorial of sorts could be nice tho.

mike-inprinciple 2018-08-18 23:28

I found the clicking on the students quite unresponsive. Considering the amount of plates this game expects the player to balance I find the precision required to successfully clicking to get the students to sit down is excessive and distracting. The same applies to determine which row they will go to. Perhaps adding steps on the sides of the auditorium may help clarify which row the student will choose to go to.

Lastly, a small detail, I found the professor's exploding head's sound obnoxiously loud.

foomar 2018-08-19 00:13

@mike-inprinciple Thanks so much for your honest feedback, appreciate it a lot! I actually had to laugh out loud at your comment because we made a game about balancing plates at LD40 and I was very confused at first.

riccardo-sioni 2018-08-20 14:03

Very simple but effective idea! Well done!! By playing the WebGL build, I noticed that the "fullscreen" button sometimes cover the game instructions in the tutorial.

jungle 2018-09-01 16:20

Hahah. Nice and funny entry. I'm a teacher, this makes me feel like a normal day. Congratulations
