Ah yes, the Luntic, just as I remember him from that kids show!

Nice game, I liked graphics and the dark atmesphere in this one. As for gameplay, well, it's cool idea of looped labyrinth, great take on theme. But somethin ghas to be done to make it more fun to play. Different characters wandering in labyrinth is definitely a good step in right direction, but I still wasn't patient enough to figure out how to escape
I agree with the comment above me, the atmosphere is there but nothing is really grabbing me to finish this puzzle. There was one bit where there was what looked to be a hand drawn cavern in the ground - if you drew that, great job! Congrats on your submission

Great take on theme. You could make some hints, so that we get indication if progress is made. It gets too repetitive and probably the player wouldn't finish it. Music and SFX will change the experience completly.

Very much enjoyed the atmosphere. A+ character creation. I think I got pretty far, but got stuck between the blobby creature and the hole in the ground. stuck.png Loved the take on the theme, maybe changing the floor colors to let the player know how far they've gotten would help give some pacing to it? Overall though, nice work.
Great game! They graphics were nice, and the premise/concept of the game was pretty unique and neat. I especially like the blobby spinny creature - If I understand what it's supposed to be doing, it's a pretty unique idea for an enemy. Overall, pretty good! Well done!
This game could really use some moody, abstract music - that would be a great addition and would elevate the game a lot. I liked the creature design and graphics on them. Really nice.
I'm not really sure what the game is trying to say and how I should interpret the universe I find myself in. But that may just be a part of the point here. I liked the little comments the character made - maybe he could make more comments to introduce me to his world and this way make me, as a player, care more about his plight and fate. Just a though :)

There's an interesting atmosphere in this game. I didn't understood what was the bouncing character and I didn't have the patience to find my way in this big labyrinth. I think it need a bit more feedback and animations. And the lack of audio kill a bit the immersion. But with some ehancement i'm sure it must be a good ambient game.

Nice graphics, I like the character art and the lighting system. The maze gameplay created a cool mysterious atmosphere, but I just was lost most of the time and it honestly felt a bit tedious. It was hard to tell whether the map was changing under me (which would've been a cool/appropriate mechanic) or if I was just getting confused. Ultimately I also got stuck between the chasm and the blob. I wonder if having a simpler map would've made for a tighter experience. Also would've loved to hear some audio to enhance the vibe. Still was in interesting experience though.
edit: looking at the spoiler, yeah it seems very unlikely that any player going in blind would've been able to finish the game in a reasonable amount of time/patience. Some sort of hint system maybe would've helped there too.
The creatures were shocking and awesome. Like others said, some simple audio would go a long way towards making this more immersive IMHO. It would also be nice if there were more hints when I'm on the right track, I ended up going in circles for a while but unfortunately gave up after a few minutes after seeing the cyan-eyed creature once, since I felt like I wasn't going to figure it out. Nice job overall though!

Great atmosphere and lighting. It was really immersive in the beginning. I loved the smooth animations and silent jump scares in the darkness. It's super nice that the creatures don't hurt you or make you restart and I can keep going after I've passed them. I just wish there was a clearer path to the exit! Everything else was well made, good work!
Nice atmosphere and light. Cool monster design. Special thanks for ability to run faster via shift button. Enjoyed this project!

I really like the idea and the atomosphere of the game. Graphics fits very well with your project.
Well, the shadow is not present with every vertices / objects, becareful with that because there are a lot. There are as well some path that bring us no where, it's a bit confusing because there is nothing to do there. Otherwise well done guys !

I got what you're going for, I actually recently played another jam game with similar idea, but still this is pretty unique. What they did a bit better was that they had distinguishable central hub, so once you went straight south and arrived to the hub from north, you realized what was going on. So in your game I expected it's gonna loop, but I couldn't tell wheter it already happened or not, cause everything looks the same. I noticed the loop only when volvox globator pushed me down some corridor and suddenly disappeared and some torches appeared instead. Still, when everything looks the same, it's close to impossible to figure out where you are and how things loop and work. So my suggestion is basically to add something distinct to the maze, so that the player can tell how the loop works and where he is. In your case, it'd probably be different flooring in different areas, maybe different torches and so on. The creatures themselves are too sparse and shapes of corridors aren't unique enough. Also I'd cut on the dead ends - you're looping, you don't need any.
The lighting was very nice and the normal mapped ground looked awesome, sometimes corners didn't cast shadows though. The creatures were interesting, weird in a good way and enhanced the atmosphere. What I absolutely loved was the graphic of the crack/hole in the ground. Maybe I'd consider more coherent artstyle though as the character, creatures and the hole didn't really match the flooring. I think you can make handdrawn flooring looking as good with normal maps and lighting.
Overall great idea with impressive graphics that's missing a few bits of work that would make it really fulfilling experience.
I liked the mood of the graphics and the interesting creatures! However, this game really, really needed sound; it would have gone so far. Even picking up some free sfx and ambient sound off the internet.
I think it would have been more enjoyable if the player were faster and perhaps a map or something to help navigate. It quickly became laborious to move about and try to find where I had been and where to go next, especially in dead silence. I felt like I had experienced almost everything the game had to offer in about 20 seconds. Also, I highly recommend escape key to quit. :)
I think that overall you had a great idea, and that it was a little ambitious for a game jam. My suggestion to improve in future jams is to aim for small, contained and polished. Thanks for participating and sharing your game!

@honey @michael-horst thanks a lot for such detailed feedback!
@honey Yes, you are completely right, we planned to add distinguished features to help players navigate, but unfortunately we didn't make it in time, we had only 2 days. Some of the character's quotes actually were meant to give a hint when it teleportes (like 'I feel weird'), but this was done it great haste so apparently didn't work out well. Thanks for advice with different ground and torches, btw, I didn't think of it but now I understand that it would be a great thing to add.
@michael-horst totally agree about the sound, it totally slipped our mind during the jam, but after the deadline I saw how much the sound would add to the atmosphere. Gonna need an SFX designer for the next jam. Also, I suspect you didn't now that you could move faster with Shift key, which is totally my fault as I didn't add a short tutorial on controls to the game. And escape key, oh, I will write that down and put in a frame till the next jam, forget about these things every time.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this game, it's really different... I was waiting for something more calm but it's not the case hahahaha
But I had a great time playing it!

Great art work!
Great game! At first I didn't get "the stuck in a loop" idea, but the maze is so confusing that you're pretty much guaranteed to loop around at least once. I only got as far as "the blobby creature" as referenced earlier in the comments, who got me stuck against a wall. Good game!

@robonaut121 the labyrinth is indeed looped, but also there is a much deeper expression of this idea in the ending, which unfortunately wasn't discovered by anyone because of major flaws in game design caused by a short amount of time we could dedicate to the development of the game.

Good job buddy. I liked the maze factor of your game. Unfortunately I was not able to finish it, I was even stuck in a part where an enemy would not allow me to pass. Anyway, it is a promising game. Congratulations.
edit: I came here to finish the game, and I believe I was right at the end when I was unable to move when I was caught by the enemy, what a shame hahaha. Again, good job!

Nice graphics :-) I really like how you handle the lights there !
