Well I was going to play your game, but I guess it's not working now :slight_frown:

pseudonclide 2020-10-06 18:11

Looking forward to test your game! It really looks nice!

png 2020-10-06 18:34

The screenshots look thrilling, I might try again tomorrow! :)

conneli 2020-10-06 18:47

Would you tag me when this goes live? I would love to play it! Looking forward to it!

hardcoded 2020-10-06 19:19

Curious about this game, no links tho :P

devparty 2020-10-06 21:09

Can't wait until the game is out.

marco-schneider 2020-10-06 22:45

@png @xacer @conneli @devparty @hardcoded @pseudonclide hey guys, thank you for your patience. The game is now playable. Have fun with it. Feedback is highly appreciated.

conneli 2020-10-06 23:40

Really glad I got to try this. Conceptually, I loved it. The ghost, the spooky house, the air of mystery and exploration, all well done. I had some trouble with the buttons however. I clicked first person and was definitely not in first person for my playthrough, and the Press E for Up button was stuck on the GUI after an elevator ride. But I don't think I can praise the aesthetics enough, well done.

marco-schneider 2020-10-06 23:59

@conneli , thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the first person is beta, if at all. You should play this definitely in third person view. Sometimes the GUI gets stuck. The walkaround is to move forward and go back to the action object again to trigger the trigger again. Did you manage to finish the game?

valentinefondreamer 2020-10-07 20:31

Spooky time! Like Halloween vibe! Graphic and color super! Like tips in game

gord10ahmet 2020-10-09 00:50

I loved the graphics! I wished the ghost's movement was faster.

zeonblue 2020-10-18 16:51

I think I broke it. Went up the stairs, then I think I fell down somewhere. Super cool concept though, love the mystery exploration vibe! Had fun floating around the mansion, figuring out the puzzles.

Sometimes I get options on the screen that I don't think should be there, like the option for "up" while I'm walking around.

Other than these minor nit-picks, amazing what you did given the short amount of time you had!

elemel 2020-10-18 17:07

Graphics were amazing, really spooky Halloween mood. Some sound and music would have improved immersion. Managed to collect one vase before I stepped beyond a wall and fell into the void.

masterkrepta 2020-10-18 17:14

You managed to recreate the feelings I had playing one of my favorite games growing up (Adventure for Atari), minus the dragons. I really found the game fun and challenging at times. The way I felt like I was constantly rotating around the house, like it was one large cylinder shape was really clever way to make it feel like a loop.

I did get stuck a few times, i accidently sent the elevator to the 3rd floor when i was in the basement, and had to reload the game to get out of it, but other than that bug I had a fun time playing this. Love the ghost flowing in the breeze effect on the player.

kack3y 2020-10-18 17:37

Nice entry here :)

Cute graphics and incredible folding effect, where do you find the time to do all of this :p Just had a bug, falling down in infinity when going upstairs ^^

Really love the concept.

marco-schneider 2020-10-19 08:37

Thanks for playing and reviewing. We are aware of the staircase bug, where you fall out of the world. Currently we don' t know why this bug exists, because there are colliders present there.

stellarbeargames 2020-10-19 20:27

Really great game. The ghost looks cool and the lighting and font set a spooky mood. The mood is good but sorely needs sound to be amazing. Puzzles were fun and physics a bit janky which could be reduced by disabling collision on picked up items. I especially liked the laser puzzle. One last thing, I wish you could go through the door at the end even if it just fades to black. Very nice game! Congrats.

st1cky 2020-10-19 20:44

I liked mood and atmosphere. Not really hard but really spooky! Cool, good luck to you!)

island-jam-2-group-3 2020-10-19 20:54

I liked the game! At first I was lost because I thought both elevators went to the exact same floors, but once I discovered that I was wrong I succeeded til the end ;-) I missed some music or at least SFX but it's not that big of a deal having an entertaining game ;-)

emk4 2020-10-19 21:03

Interesting take on the loop theme. Although the character moved a bit wonky around some parts where I felt to get stuck a little and some lighting came from unexpected spots, the setting and atmosphere worked well. Very satisfying to get all the pieces together in the end after a thorough investigation of the mansion. Apart of duplicate E actions, the UI could have used a little bit clearer distinction between available and disabled options.

M7C1N01GWP.png **This game is really unique !** The fact that the player is turning around makes a super cool perspective all along. I really enjoyed to play your game mate. And the fact that is a circular space, I don't know exactly why but it's super easy to navigate and to remember where are the objects you noticed. . +1 for HTML5 (WebGL) it makes so easy to access. Well done ! Also I really appreciate that you put little clues everywhere in case the player is stuck. The difficulty curve is kind of perfect for a game done in 72h is impressive GG ! I mean the game is quiet polished already ! At least the player experience I don't know about the code ahah. I liked the warm mood and visuals as well, it was adding to the enclosed filling of the place. . I could totally see a game with this concept but extended. The character (soul) is in the center I really like the clothes simulation. It would be cool to have a more touching protagonist a bit like the one in "Little Nightmares". If you have a minute don't hesitate to check out our game :-) . Thanks for the experience, it was one of the more innovative game so far :-)

satolas 2020-10-19 23:47

I forgot to mention all the mechanics there is : - Pick-Place - Movement in elevator - Filling - Interaction between two objects - Laser reflection on mirrors - Triggers - Doors - Stairs

...I mean 72h hey Well done !

mary 2020-10-20 13:54

Halloween vibe! Cool, good luck to you!)

zarki 2020-10-20 19:12

Really well done, I gotta say. Nice work, seriously impressive for 72 hours.

macmist 2020-10-21 10:23

Impressive game, I really liked the idea of being in a circular mansion, it's unusual and makes it unique. It has some nice puzzles, lots of details, simple gampeplay, and cool graphics. Only miss sone music or sound effect to be perfect. Very well done, super fun to play!

vphyre 2020-10-22 14:08

Wow, what an incredible job. I really liked the graphics, and the setting of the scene. The puzzles to find the vases are very well designed, especially the mirror puzzle. The concept of taking an item and taking it to a specific one is quite interesting. In general it was a very good experience. Your game is different and creative. I had some problems with bugs. The elevators sometimes did not seem to work (I was even stuck on the initial floor and on the floor above it, as the elevator did not descend below the initial floor), and one of the mirrors entered the wall and I was unable to get it out (although I still managed to solve the puzzle). Anyway, bugs in a game jam are normal, and your work here is magnificent. Congratulations.

likirus 2020-10-26 12:09

This is very nice, I love the haunted house look, I wish it had some spooky sounds though

ava-skoog 2020-10-26 15:58

This looks fantastic! 🤩 Really has that vibe of old-school prerendered point and click games, and the camera stuck in the middle and rotating is a really clever, good fit. Cloth-sim ghost is just the icing on the cake. Physics/movement could use some work but it does the trick, and solving the level was fun. Did not expect the light beam mirror puzzle at the end! Nice work!! 👻
