Fun game and the graphics and audio are very good but I find one hit death to be just a bit unforgiving
I agree the one hit death is very discouraging, especially when it's hit with a fatal error. The dimension-shifting with the teleporter is a nice idea.
Only one Hp not enough
Nice game, well made. It is a cool concept, your art is very solid. It sucks a bit, to start from the absolut beginning after dying. Maybe going back to last use of the time machine could be a good idea?
I couldn't play much, after two deaths the game kept crashing But I enjoyed the beginning anyway, the controls are really smooth, the music is cool and so are the graphics
With the fatal error bug fixed it will be a really good game to play
Amazing atmosphere and gameplay mechanics. Controls are tight and dying is your own mistake. However as others mentioned taking one hit to die and restarting the whole game is a bit too unforgiving and repeating the same things again become tedious. Awesome pixel art and soundtrack. I would play again once crashing issues (crashed also during gameplay not only when clicking play) are fixed. Good job!
The invisible mines are just not fair  At the beginning I thought that maybe I can disarm them - tried and died for it . I ended up making screenshots to know where they are.
I agree with the others that maybe at least two hp, to allow for one error, would be more user-friendly. Although I think it's also fine as it is - after all, what kind of scientist survives walking into a mine. But maybe introduction of some armor/shield item that you could find and that would allow you to survive a hit would work.
Nice graphics and I liked the concept overall. Teleporting between areas and seeing what changed after the lab accident was very nice.
I didn't experience the fatal error at all.
It really is a nice game. It s really nice moody with the music and sounds. My only problem is the fact that once you die you restart the whole game and the collision boxes not being right perfect means you restart the game a lot. As a sidenote : i don't really understand how the doors works. You move between past and future. If you open the door in the past yeah i understand how it makes the door also stay open in the future. But if you open it in the future why all of the sudden does it also open in the past?
Overall really nice game and like it, but i think the death should be a little bit more forgiving.
Great game. Some lights would add a lot to the atmosphere, keep you on edge. Art looks awesome and sounds fit wery well.
Game crashed for me first time I died from mine, then when I tried to start it again, it crashed again. But after that there was no issues, no crashes. Not sure what could be the issue.
There's a bit of backtracking and invisible mines are a bit unexpected. Not sure what could be done about that though.
Would love to see more from you. Cheers!
Thank you all for the feedback. We are trying to fix the bug that happened to some of you and will give you a "second chance" so you don't die in one hit even though we envisioned you would remember the layouts of mines which are visible in one timeline.
Great game! I really like dimension shifting, and the atmosphere created by the music and pixel art is fantastic. I did find the one hit death was a bit frustrating - I wouldn't mind it if there was checkpoints, but having to do the same thing again became a bit much. Apart from that, I really enjoyed it! Great work.
(I got the fatal error twice but after restarting a third time it worked no issue.)
Short but great game! Controls are really responsive, graphics and sound effects are well made, they create a cool mood. Loved the ending cutscene and the main menu animation.
kako se ovo pokrene???????????????????????????????????
Nice game, I really like the visuals and how the lab changes in each time period, reminds me of Portal games a little
One strange thing that I encountered is that launching the game also launches Steam VR on my computer, I wonder why
This game offers a very good experience. The graphics are beautiful, and the sound is good too. Level design is very interesting and motivates you to explore the entire map. Congratulations.
Cool idea, reminds me of the time level in Titanfall 2, classic level btw if you haven't played it!
I wish dying just brought you back to the time machine, rather than resetting all progress. No one needs to be tested again and again and again on the same puzzles. Especially after entering the blue-key area, and then dying to an invisible land mine. So yeah, be a little more "forgiving" as other have suggested.
Audio is probably being overlooked, but I think it was good audio, sets the mood and nothing seemed out of place or overpowered.
Visuals were decent.
Good job overall!
Honestly so far this is the weirdest experience I've ever had with Ludum Dare. The game gave me the "Fatal Error" message not once, but twice. I ALSO got the game launching SteamVR on my system like @cubiclaw above me. That's so random! But yeah, the difficulty was also pretty high. Good pixel graphics, cute music, pretty solid entry overall, after all the strange... quirks of launching it lol!
I did not really enjoy the game just collecting the key cards was not really interesting and on top of that it was really frustrarting having to start all over if you got 1 hit. The theme was here in the fact that you respawned I guess but it was not very innovative. Graphics and sound effects were nice enough. Overall I feel like the game is lacking a real selling point. I guess without the frustrating restart it would jst be an ok game. It could also be because I did not get very far so I didn't really see the interesting bit. The game also crashed at one point when I died, this not a critique but just letting you know so you can fix it.
Mind-blowing game! Couldn't stop playing! Got stuck in the loop :)
