the mechanics are really original.

the mechanics are really original.
Wasn't able to find any monsters, but successfully shot myself couple times. Very confusing game after all. I believe it required more playtesing.
This was a bit of a mindbender! I enjoyed the art style and the concept [@hapticfabric for Classy Bogan Studios]
Really not quite sure what I played, but I had a really fun time!! Very surreal, and that in itself is a very cool experience.
**First and for-most. This is really unique.**
I have no fucking clue what just happened but I played this game for 40 minutes straight and had an awesome time. The only things I think you could improve on are: - The player doesn't really know what the fuck they're supposed to do for the start of the game. - There is a huge amount of time between the enemy spawns. - You could maybe add a couple weapons, and different enemies, some could be smaller ones that seek out the player or something. - You could make it so you can switch between characters.
I had a great time. I feel like you should pursue this and make an awesome little arcade-y kind of game.
This is a really interesting idea with a lot of potential for further development - you should definitely keep going after the jam. Maybe build on the idea that different versions of yourself can have different items and loadouts, to strengthen the need to use the other characters and not just do it all yourself. The aesthetics are quite strong, with the twisted low poly look, but could maybe be made even stronger with different materials and lighting. Impressive efforts considering the time restraints. Well done!
very interesting concept! I managed to grab a gun and shoot a couple of my clones but couldn't really figure out what to do past that point. Whenever I looked down or dropped down the hole in the centre I'd just teleport back to the starting area. I'd suggest redesigning the very beginning of your game it's rather confusing. The shooting could use some feedback, be that a spark where the bullet hits or a muzzle flash. Your animations worked great and it was pretty cool to see each of your characters all moving in unison! Cool idea!
Cool puzzle ideas, it was fun to think "mmm i need to kill the other colors but if i look that way my other me has a gun and gonna kill me". So i ended up killing everybody and being alone, maybe me not really myself but definitively not I
Had a hard time figuring wtf i had to do, in the end just killed everybody and then restarted in the hole. Very lonely game. Only playing with the clones was quit funny after pressing esc.
Wow this game is crazy! haha, I liked your experiment, I keep imagining possibilities with this type of gameplay. It really is an interesting and different experience. Congratulations.
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Thanks for all the comments!
@dexort You just had to be a little more patient for the monster to appear. There were also instructions above the hole when you start the game.
@ladmiester Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed it that much! Yea, I should made things more clear, there are a few instructions above the hole when you start though. Yep, I thought about more weapons/items but there was just not enough time. Smaller enemies could be also cool. Switching between the characters would take away from having to control them all at once, I like to have them matter more though.
@frederik-boye Yep, I thought about also having the colors matter more where for instance enemies could have weak points with colors and there could be perks that you pickup. I definately would have liked to push the style more, especially with shader effects but there was just not enough time.
@noteworthy Yea, that is the problem with experimental games, they tend to be confusing when the player can't pull from experiences with other games of that genre. There were some basic instructions above the hole when you start though. Yep, its lacking better effects, I had to make them low priority with the time constraints.
@anguish-bucket Oh no, that sounds like existential crisis mixed with paranoia! :D There were some instructions above the hole when you start. You can also find some instructions on this page.
@roberto-nascimento-almada I'm sorry that you killed all yourselfs and ended up lonely with yourself. You can put yourselfs back together again though, the pieces they left behind can be picked up and combined back together so they live gain. There were also instructions above the hole.
I have no idea what this game is all about but I enjoyed my time with it. just picking stuff up seeing all my clones do stuff and ending my experience with shooting each and everyone of them. Weird but really cool and interesting concept!
Nice concept, the mood is truly unsettling, I liked it.
A very nice concept, I would like to be able to switch between characters though, or even at a stretch see through all of their eyes :joy:
very cool idea ♥
Interesting game. Couldn't grasp how to reproduce myselves tho
The control scheme was very difficult to get on top of and picking up items or swapping them was very difficult. I really couldn't figure out how to use much and so I got stuck during the monster fight I figured out how to trigger with the Y button I think. I really like the fact that you could drop down the center in an infinite loop. Over all pretty interesting concept with some decent potential.
This was a weird one, I have to say lol. The movement of the arms is very hard to control and very unwieldy, unfortunately, considering you have to shoot the Beholder with some accuracy. I would like to see this expanded further.
The presentation is good, and the mood is there, but it needs more polish. I couldn't aim properly since if I aimed a bit more up they moved their arms straight upward. Also I don't know what I was supposed to do with the monster.
I appreciate your experimentation and keep doing it, but also try to distinguish between experimentation and "random things to make it even more experimental". It can be something special without being all about being weird.
That said, it's something very personal so you should keep doing what you like, it is just a suggestion.
This game idea is very unique, never seen something like that. At first it was really hard to figure out how to get stuff done. Movement could need some work but other than that it was really interesting to play. Solid entry.
