Once I got the rhythm of pulling the orb and then dashing, the game started to click. I got confused by the hands dying animation cause it almost looked like I can pick up the red orbs they held. Great work!

Brilliant ideas, unique design—I'm really loving your game!
@eric-nguyen That animation was definitely very last minute. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
@drgcandle Thank you for playing!
Hey! I think your LD web embed is broken - this is pretty normal, cause there are some obscure settings you need to change for it to work. If you go to Edit -> Project Settings -> Player, at the bottom there's a section with 4 tabs. The third tab has WebGL settings, and in there you need to disable "data caching" and make sure the compression algorithm is one of two options. If you do that, then rebuild your game, it will almost certainly work on the LD website! This happens to me every jam :PDataCachingDisable.png
The game was wonderful, one of my favorites this jam! The mechanics with manipulating the orb were especially interesting and strange. It reminded me of Tainted Jacob from the Binding of Isaac, with the "this is your strongest weapon, it follows you and it can also ruin you" sort of thing going on. The story was engaging enough that it kept me curious and playing when I felt discouraged by losing memories a lot, and the great music contributed a ton. Overall, phenomenal game!

@judjudson Thank you for that information! Went ahead and uploaded a build with that fixed. Thank you for playing, I am glad you enjoyed it!
@codeman1010 I'm glad you liked the game! Seeing someone play it live on stream is always great for getting feedback with gameplay.
i really like the unique gameplay mechanic and characters look really nice, amazing job for the game jam!
Neat game! I was getting really frustrated though because off screen enemies kept hitting the orb.
The gameplay is really fun, I loved the mechanics. The storylines inbetween gameplay dragged on for a bit too long in my opinion. All in all it was really nice playing your game. Good job !
@meylish @matt-blake @simun182 Thank you all for playing!
I loved the narrative approach. I'm sorry to say gameplay grew frustrating for me. It was fun to pull the orb around and try to hit enemies. Maybe I'm just bad at it, because I never managed to build up the memories. I always either hit myself, or hit by a hand who snuck up on me. Audio and visuals a great, and the game otherwise feels good to move and round and attack and dash. Great job everyone.
I am getting a disco elysium vibes with the personalities and the tense vibe.
the gameplay to be honest was a bit confusing for me, but I would read a full novel with that preface and so well designed characters, this one being really intriguing

the original angel inspired image, really wanna see what this guy is about
An excellent interpretation of the theme. Very different from most, and that's a good thing! The gameplay is quirky and interesting. The graphics are very beautiful. There is good narrative content.
Good job!
@ismael-rodriguez Totally agree, I wish we had a little more time to iron out the details with the mechanic. Thank you for playing!
@velvetlobster Thank you! It is not the kind of writing I do normally but I had a lot of fun with this story. I wish I had a little more time to invest in writing the dialogue cause it was a lot of fun.
@vphyre Thank you! We had a lot of fun making this one.
It took me a little to understand I had a button in front of me to press, but after that I could not help but smile at the reactions. Soon as... Say past the story bit and you get some tips, I noticed the white line from the middle downwards cuts with the text... That's white too. Its not bad, but something I noticed fairly quickly. But one can say I be nitpicking. The music and sound effects seem fitting, I like the... Constellations[?] As decorations. I struggled with the controls, would have liked a tutorial but for the time you had it can be a fun game with some extra time to polish it up!
Presence of a narrative which involves a cast and an engaging game mechanic is a killer combo. I liked the mysterious vibe supported with art style and music. Excellent job!
Enjoyed the visual feel and the design. I could not get the hang of the controls well enough to make any meaningful progress in the first(?) zone, so I gave up, but the orb-and-character interaction felt interesting. I'm not particularly good at action games so I may not be the target, but I'd be curious to play more with a gentler difficulty ramp if this game goes anywhere in the future.
Well done! it's very difficult, but I had a lot of fun.
Coudlnt finish the game. It was too difficult to finish, maybe polished mechanic would be better? I didnt realize how it works actually. Anyways the art and sound was quite nice!
@lizz Thank you for playing! I was a little concerned some people might miss the button but wanted to keep the effect of the blank start.
@krummsakura Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing this story. It was a deviation from what I normally write but it turned out decent given the time constraints. I am glad you enjoyed it!
@brainbetter @tamara188 @durkagames We struggled a lot trying to balance this mechanic because it either felt too easy or way too hard. We sought the balance and seemed to have landed with it being a little bit too hard The "e" ability and dash were added to help with the balance and is essentially vital to progressing in case you missed that. I hope you still enjoyed and thank you for playing!
My gods, this was a beautiful game. The final battle threw me for a loop, but once I got the purpose of the fire and how to control it, I was just mesmerized. I wish I could play this game indefinitely. The story was absolutely sweet and was an interesting representation of how some people come to terms with circumstances.
I admittedly forgot how to fling the ball. As in, I forgot how to make it go faster but after nailing that down, I realized the string turns redder the stronger it is. I took that to learn the redder it is, the likelihood I'd need to dodge more carefully.
The art was fantastic, the music was ethereal, the characters..oh man..
I thought Will was the father. Once I realized it was the mom, I understood it as that she was too willful and set in her ways to accept her son's choices.
You all knocked it out of the park. I almost want to cry.
its insane that they could tell such a complete story in this much time, its abtract but you understand all tat you need to and the gameplay is inventive to boot, tho at firts it was a bit hard to dominate
@kevvy Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the game this much. It was a lot of fun to make
@mongoose-59 Thank you for playing! It was a lot of fun to write the story if a little rushed. I do wish I had a little more time to flesh out the characters especially early on. I am glad you enjoyed it!
Its really a good, polished story. The gameplay is a little challenging but fun.
We had similar interpretation of the theme, that's true  But the way you use it is pretty different: I like it!
Mechanics are simple but easy to handle and the story is realy cool. At first, I said to myself: the atmosphere is darker than that of my game but it totally fits your story.
Great work! I was happy to discover your creation! Thank you for this entry!
Wow, that was wonderful. I was satisfied with the story and the clicker, but then unique gameplay came in. Then the boss battle came in! Separate props for visual style and audio! Good job people!
Also, storywriter, what were you smoking? I want some :)
@thomaszane I am glad you enjoyed it!
@flying-butter-studio So glad you guys played our game! Your entry is one of my favorite jam games I have played. I am glad you enjoyed it!
@mnemosynevl Thanks for playing! Story was a product of a lack of sleep and determination, would not recommend smoking that. Definitely very different from what I normally write but it was a lot fun.
Really fun mechanic and a cool story. Pretty challenging as well!
It's great to see a more serious entry. I felt that the visuals and the music were sometimes quite in contrast with the serious or somber story (especially during the boss fight and the credits roll), but it was still impactful all in all.
I'm glad I went in blind, I feel that discovering what's going on made for a much better atmosphere than reading the synopsis on this page. Maybe you could put that under a spoiler tag?
Very unique and complete entry, bravo!
[Thanks for submitting your game to stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2124979046?t=01h46m42s)
This was actually a surprisingly fun mechanic! Nice job.
Love the mood, was quite difficult for me, as I'm not good at this type of game, but the mechanic were original.
I love the art style and the theme. At first, I thought that the button was the whole gameplay lol! Good work guys!.
@zablas Thank you for playing!
@ditam Really glad you enjoyed the story! It was fun to write.
@coleslaughter Thank you guys! The stream was fun
@jeffez Glad you enjoyed the mood. Definitely wish we had more time to balance the mechanic. Thank you for playing!
@kamizenki Thank you! We wanted to expand that scene originally but stuck with just the button for time. We were going to add more buttons and things to do like a traditional clicker.
Neat game! A very delicate ballet between you, the ball, and the enemies. I liked the character designs. Good job!
I really liked the gameplay. I forgot I could dash and managed to complete the game without it. I think it would be better if the camera was a little farther away, so you could see the hands earlier. Still the idea of summoning the ball and then dodging it is very good. The story was confusing to me.
More visibility would've helped (as the comment above suggested, perhaps by zooming out a little depending on how far the ball is from you?), and I also didn't realize I could dash until I did it by accident (I easily forget wordy tutorials before the game begins x) ). The main gameplay mechanic is pretty cool though, and I'm impressed by the art, story, and ambience, your team packed a lot into this! Solid entry :)
@animawish Thank you for playing!
@happyglitch That is fair it was a little difficult to see the hands and it could have been balanced better. Thank you for playing!
@orbitaldot Thank you! We were really happy with how the art and mood came out for this one.
