I'm currently seeing the error Unable to load file Build/Build.framework.js.unityweb! Check that the file exists on the remote server. (also check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug) game looks cool, so I'll come back and try it once its working :)

I like the idea of taking over controller from a replay to avoid doing hard parts multiple times. The game also fits very well with the theme.
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my stream!

Y'all are really onto something incredible here. I can see some amazing potential for this concept.
It's just a jam, so understandably didn't have time to do a lot of interactive tutorials or anything, but if you build out a much more robust gradual onboarding to the game, this has some real commercial potential.
Other main gripe would be the platformer physics. Gravity feels too high and as a result the jump feels too quick. Even when editing a run, I ran into a single width spike multiple times by either jumping slightly too early or too late. The window for timings should probably be forgiving enough that players with full visuals should be able to execute correctly 95%+ of the time.
Would love to see more innovative implications of the replay vs recording modes, with lots of interesting mechanics. What happens if there's something that isn't affected by the replay/record? How about elements of the map that are only visible and/or interactable during one mode or the other?
Keep up the good stuff!
The concept is sooo cool !

Awesome game and execution, the timeline feature is really nice and well thought. I would suggest adding some more audio cues like when the character is falling, or some blocks that just make a sound, so that the player can know where he is standing, sometimes you jump or go to a place and don't know exactly where you landed, so you have to repeat and it seems kinda speedrunningish. Overall really great idea and implementation

I played this one on stream last night! unfortunately the VOD got muted, so no link :(
this game is incredible. it took me a little bit to understand what I was meant to do, but after that it was super enjoyable. I loved the level designs, the look and feel of the game, the sound - everything.
the fast forward is a tad buggy, but not in a game-breaking way, so it's not a big issue.
this is what all 5s looks like in my book :p
What a cool and original take on the theme! Took me a while to get into the controls, but once I understood them it was quite fun. I still have to be honest that I didn't make it further than the third level with the spikes. I wasn't able to time the jumps well enough. But I think that's just because I'm not that good at platformers
I love the look and feel of the game with the pixel-art style and timeline. Also the soundsa and music fit very well.

this game is really good! like a lot of what others have said, this has incredible potential as a full game. and it would be so cool. my favorite part of it, though, is the music! it's so upbeat and exciting. it's good that the levels are short; otherwise sitting through an entire section of watching the replay would become tedious for a while. graphics are brilliant (the player character is so bouncy hehe). good job!
Intuitive controls and a really nice take on the theme, really nice idea

It's a really interesting idea and very well polished! I can't really think of anything weak about the game, other than the not very clear tutorial about being able to edit the sequence halfway
I must say the level design is really good! The spikes that appear after stepping on them are probably my favorite mechanic, as both a trap and an indicator for my position. You all nailed the balance between giving too much information and too little information during the blind phase, and it made it really fun! The sound effects were super helpful for figuring out what's happening, and encouraged me to play by feel more (instead of continuously pausing the game which could be really tedious)
Overall a really solid game!
Agreed with everyone else, this idea absolutely has legs! Great job, and great design!
Very polished, with good art and sounds. Feels well put together. Has the right amount of challenge. Played about 10 min and had fun. Good Job!

Hi, Thanks very much for the shout-out! It was a joy to play your game and thank you for the help in chat as I was playing and for sticking around throughout the stream. I really enjoyed playing your game and thought it was a super unique idea which was executed brilliantly. The music was soooo good and the the graphics fit together very nicely. I'm not sure what FengMo did in the emotional support department but I need some of it in the future if this is the game that can come as a result haha! Very fun and quite challenging but in a very doable way :)
This game is sweet, I got so focused trying to track my player and time my jumps. The art is nice, the audio is nice, just a great polished experience. Great entry!

Love the concept. I guess lit really is quite similar to our idea, like you mentioned in chat.
It's interesting to see how similar ideas can evolve differently.
I really like the graphics and audio.

The music is well done, and the game mechanics are interesting. The "Every 10s" presented on the cassette is quite elegant!Very good work!

Great work! The music and art are really nice. Also, the amount of puzzles and content you managed to make for the jam is impressive. I didn't make it to the end as I eventually got a bit fatigued in the push button levels, but it was decently fun until then. I think getting to interrupt the playback kind of nerfs the whole challenge, but it'd be hard to beat the current puzzles without it. Overall, I liked the idea and execution of the concept. Good job!

I think the music is amazing, just the best track of LDJam51. I really love the cassette tape track that records your movement! However, I really didn't enjoy the gameplay... It felt just plain frustrating to me to play a precision platformer where your character turns invisible. I saw the playthrough and I'm thoroughly impressed by the amount of content in the game though!
Great game! Really like the hardcore concept to go out blindly and prepress the movements. The timeline also looks very nice and the initial movement ghost. 5/5

After I figured out I could let the replay just play and finetune the last parts the game became really fun to play. (the first few levels I was replaying the whole thing every time 😂). I finish all the levels in this game and had an awesome time. Nice sprites. Cool music. Great mechanics: ~~could use a fast forward but~~ the current implementation really suited the theme!
Great job!
EDIT: There was a fast forward button!!!
@jonah hi, just wanna make sure you know that F is fast forward. XD

@tsfreddie haha I completely miss that ! awesome!
This was a really fun play. The visual presentation is clean and small details like the outline around the player sprite are a nice touch. The music track was great.
I'm not the best at platformers so my perspective on this feedback comes from there. It was hard for me to gauge sometimes where I was, which I know is kind of the point of the challenge. Some type of cue, even visually, could be nice to indicate where I land after jumping, like dust from the floor coming up or something.
The mechanic of the game itself was interesting and a neat take on the theme. This has a lot of potential for a full game and I really hope to see it developed out more and become so.

@tsfreddie can we get a soundcloud upload for the track? Because this is an absolute banger!
@jag you got it friend. https://soundcloud.com/tsfreddie/sets/blind-jump-ost
It is probably not that exciting to listen to on their own tho. Well, maybe the second track could stand on its own, I'm personally not sure about the rest.

@tsfreddie you say that but then here I am jamming away to your sound track just chilling and doing my stuff... Tower track is the best!
Thanks for the quick upload! Might I ask what software do you use for music?

hsdsg.JPG such a hard game!!like it!!(rate back?)
Great great game! Astonishing what you accomplished here! Really loved it, also very polished feeling. Thank you for submitting it to my stream!
great idea! The concept of recording the playthrough is great. Makes me think of the normal process of playing platformers like Celeste where you try to figure out the perfect run of the level to then execute it.
This was sooooo cool! The level design, the graphics, the music, THE CONCEPT.
Oh my world this is amazing.
I loved how I hard to learn to move faster at correcting my mistakes, that was so much fun.
My only critique would be that r may be too "easy" a key to hit for a reset of a level - there were a few times when I hit r instead of enter and my heart broke a little.
That being said, I loathe platformers, and this game I did not hate, I even enjoyed it.
Superbly done! :D Thank you!
The concept is really amazing! Love the gameplayer 10/10 design.
But there's a problem when I move left on the first frame, it's really hard to recorrect it to move right again. Only when I enter lv2 and realized there's a reset key (R). I feel like it would be better to let the player know the reset key on the first level. Also prevent the player from being able to leave the screen on the left side would help.
Again a really good entry from you guys!
@otterfaelure Hi! Great feedback, we really appreciate it. Through submitting to streamers, we realize the reset button is actually rarely needed as well. If we were to make a full game or improve it post jam, we might put it in a pause menu instead of having a dedicated button at all.
We would like to hear your opinion about this potential change as well!
@daivyishere Thanks for playing! About the hard to recorrect thing, there was a half second input lock to prevent accidental rewrite of all your progress when the 10 second restart hits. We found this pretty annoying as well but it was kept as a quick fix to reduce later frustration (where you would likely to spam buttons at the end of the timeline).
We are planning on making the lock smarter and disengage the input lock when you manually restart if we were to make a full game or update the current one post jam.
Thanks for the feedback and the compliment as well, we really appreciate it. Feel free to let us know if you have other suggestions as well.
@tsfreddie I feel like the reset button is nice in case of frustration, but yeah maybe a button that can be clicked (or tied to p, which is a long way away from r and wasd) to let people pause and then reset if they want to. That way no accidental loss of progress but also helping people avoid the rages. =) Great job seeking continual feedback. :D

Thanks for submitting your game to stream!
This is definitely one of my favorites. A creative interpretation of the theme that goes beyond being a simple timer, a super interesting mechanic, and well thought out, cleverly-designed levels. Just an out-and-out banger entry. :fire:
Amazingly polished and well-designed entry! It is right at the sweet-spot of using an innovative concept of which the execution is so good that it goes past the uncanny valley of a gimmick-y mechanic. While I thought I'd have a lot of trouble finishing the levels, I was quite amazed to see that it was very possible to do so with a nice amount of challenge.
The audio and level design were awesome and the art perfectly fit the vibes too. Even the controls for the timeline felt natural and fun to use!
Really awesome submission, well done!
Really nice game! Pros: Wonderful game, nice graphics, simple mechanics, easy to understand
Cons: Too hard, I was tired after stage 3, I would suggest easier difficulty curve

Probably the most original idea I have seen so far. And the game actually has a lot of levels. Love the UI.
The music, while good, doesn't really suit the game and sometimes gets in the way when you're trying to listen for sfx. The ability to move during a replay feels OP.
Really, really well done ()! Personally I would've prefered something less than *complete* blindless during the game (maybe show where the player is every 2 seconds, or when they stop moving?), but overall, I really enjoyed it! I didn't use the timeline nearly as much as I thought I would; maybe for 3-4 levels, but I wasn't reliant on it in the long run. The music is so wonderfully composed, it kinda stole the game's thunder for me! I found myself failing in levels because I was admiring the track in the background ()! The art is super well made, which makes me wish it was more prominantly featured, rather than just the silhouettes!
I ended up playing through the entire thing, and I loved it; keep up the good work!

Damn, that was awesome, really well done game. Loved the music and the art style. I completed the game and was wanting for more  Excited to see what you do next!
Really good game! First one I'm playing embedded on here—can confirm it's working well 😊 Just super polished, everything from slick graphics and audio to the clever use of the theme and the execution through level design that ramps up nicely and is presented so very well with the timeline and various effects. Great attention to detail. Hard to criticise anything, I guess the jumping felt a little unforgiving at times, bumping into a ceiling and not getting over a ledge in a frustrating way sometimes. But wow, super impressive!!

I liked the game, it's a unique idea. It was pretty hard to guess my way through the levels though. I'm thinking it could be made a bit more intuitive if the recorded timeline from the previous attempt was visible when you restart the level (perhaps it stays there faded out), to assist the player with tweaking their plan, especially when trying to guess big distances or earlier on in the level if you spent too much time moving around. The timeline didn't seem to help me too much as it currently is, although it's pretty cool, so this could give it some more use. Although I wonder if it might end up being relied on too much? Something to think about at least. Good luck on your future developments!
@josh6680 Hi, we ran out of time for full-length lead in tutorials, and it was a common complaint we are getting. The intended play style is not to blind playthrough the entire level. Rather to continuously correct your mistake until you reach the end of the level.
For example, for the first spike, you can run straight towards the spike and fail, hit Enter (instead of R), watch yourself ran towards the spike then hit D and Space at anytime during the replay to "correct" your jumps.
In the later levels you would try to keep as much your progress as you can and correct your mistake later in the progess bar gradually.
Hope this can help you enjoy the game a little bit more. We'll definitely be working on proper lead-in and tutorials in the future version.
