Really neat idea! Wish things got more complex as the game went on (more signals to manage, different speed of cars).

Well, I can confirm that I don't have a new career in traffic logistics...

Gameplay was clear to understand, but had some interesting nuances. Cars slowing down or getting impatient made things feel organic. Well paced to introduce the flow before getting overwhelmed before just giving up.

Music was tasty - busy enough to fit the vibe without distracting. The voices and sound effects rounded things out well.

Art was super clean, which is crucial for a game like this. Definitely felt like a throwback PC game from the 90s.

Great work from all of you.

It was fun to multitask the traffic signals. The cars behaviors were super well done (traffic jams and crashing). It took a sec to get used to the acceleration of the cars, but I was able to put up a final score of 168. The music was also a banger. Great submission!

Might be a skill issue but I found more success in not clicking the traffic signals. Everything flows nicely, Surprising amount of traffic behavior implemented.

Nice little entry here. Sound and graphics are very fitting and work well together. I didn't find it challenging enough to feel compelled to keep playing. It's a bit organic - the cars get impatient and will move on their own. Cheers!

I managed to get 88 points. I think there were times when cars on the main road would crash into each other, even if neither car came from a side road. I liked the voice acting. The music is great, as always!

There is a kind of hidden harmony in this game that reveals itself at odd moments, or so it seems. There were moments when the cars, sound effects, and music merged into one seamless whole. But I wasn't able to maintain this for very long. Usually, I frantically tried to ensure that accidents were avoided by keeping the lights red more often than not. Such is the nature of my slow, dull brain. Every once in a while, however, I'd be in the flow of the game. Below is my highest score. Not much, but still, it was a good feeling to get over 100.

In any case, despite my clumsiness, this is a well-designed game that nails the theme. It put me in a different zone for a while. There is a lot of potential in this. Well done.

I liked the premise of the game, but found it too difficult. Maybe I'm missing something. Drivers grow impatient too quickly. Would have been nice with a more casual or realistic game mode, where you control traffic lights for all directions, and should get through as much traffic as possible in a limited time.

Short but fun game! I like the gameplay, but would have liked more content like @grimslinger suggested. You could also add different level layouts from beginner to extreme, where you have to handle much more signals. ;)

Apart from that the controls feel good and the music was fitting. The crashing cars are a nice touch. You could also change the formula and the goal would be to get as many cars crashing as possible. :D The "patience circle" of the drivers is implemented well. Overall it feels like a polished game with cute graphics. Nice job! :)

Wow. this just confirmed it's a good thing I don't run street lights IRL. :grimacing:

The idea is really cool. But my brain had a hard time tracking all the diff traffic patterns. It made the choices feel a bit more haphazard than deliberate.

Those guys are some notorious yellow light runners. The acceleration/deceleration dynamics is what sets the difficulty in this game. You need quite a bit of leeway to actually stop the cars, or have them pass before the incoming traffic. I think that quicker responses from drivers would really benefit the game. I do appreciate that tailgaters don't seem to count towards lives lost though. Here's my attempt:

A really neat idea.

The best part of the game is to see those bots acting in way that looks clever but not enough so a traffic light is needed.

If there could be a second map that will be better, but as a jam entry you’ve already done a fantastic job :)

Really awesome little project, I loved sitting back and watching chaos ensue. Sat at the title screen listening to the music for a while, both tracks are a treat! The idea is simple and totally on theme, and I appreciated the way you interact and "play" the game. I would love to see more levels and variety, really cool little sim!

Nice take on the theme! I found it a bit hard to handle the lights and the drivers were not waiting for very long so in the end I just stopped touching the traffic lights at all and had my best score. I think reworking a bit the mechanics could work better, maybe by having negative points for queues forming at a light, and having to handle both lights at an intersection, potentially having all lights in red and all cars stopped (so lots of negative points or misses), or all lights in green and unavoidable crashes. A special note for the music that is super catchy and gives a nice mood to the game.
