LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Balance The Stick by miziziziz 2022-04-06T11:44:46Z

Enjoyed the short music loop. Raged hard at my inability to balance a simple stick.

Overall, this is quite an enjoyable short experience. I was able to experience it from mobile and it worked just fine. Well done!

Infectious - Delay the inevitable by ZoomieRoomie 2022-04-06T16:07:47Z

Thank you for providing the volume slider! The music was definitely funky and great, but that's a feature that should be in every game by default.

I was playing on keyboard + mouse and found the controls to be confusing. I'm very pleased to see a tutorial in-game, but that was tailored to controller players.

This is a quick experience and it was enjoyable. Cool stuff!

Do It Later by BauBau 2022-04-06T16:27:47Z

This was a pretty cool experience. It's got the right ambiance, the music loop is great and doesn't get old, the video is the best video I've seen all day. I really do like the interface and the pixel graphics in the environment. I would love to see this expanded for a longer experience. Well done!

Tax Haven by Weirdybeardyman 2022-04-07T02:14:35Z

This was fun and executed quite well. The pixel graphics were neat. The HMRC totally cheats though - what kind of boat can drive on land!

Neat experience. Well done!

Estrella by Xiris 2022-04-09T14:08:53Z

Super fun. Very polished. Educational. This was an exceptional experience that both my child and I enjoyed together. This is really neat. Well done!

Oh No My Trophy by zimny11 2022-04-05T23:28:17Z

It took me a while to figure out what was going on, but when I did, I started crushing all those little thieves. The music is a bit abrasive, but thanks for giving me the option to mute it! Overall, this has decent polish and was fun.

Climate Crisis by Wilko 2022-04-07T20:30:36Z

I loved this! It's a beautiful experience, sound, music, visually appealing. Well done!

I ended up speeding up time and didn't spend any money on fossil fuels. It was pretty easy to get into a good pace once you built up enough resources. I see that balancing is where you would have liked to spend more time and that makes sense. This is honestly a really great little fully-fleshed out idea. Neato!

Duct Tape in Space by DarkWolf 2022-04-07T02:22:19Z

I like the idea and it didn't take long for me to understand the gameplay. I wish the controls were more concise and visible to me while playing. Otherwise, the humor is spot on. Well done!

RAD by oramun 2022-04-07T02:32:39Z

I'm really getting Limbo vibes here. The atmosphere is great, audio, color choices, and environment. That's where this shines.

It is quite difficult to retrieve multiple survivors before you succumb to radiation sickness. I did also fall through the world and get stuck underground. Had more time been spent on tightening up the player controls, I would have enjoyed the experience even more. Well done.

Crushed by Holtzzy223 2022-04-05T23:19:17Z

This is a pleasant short experience. The cheery music made me want to continue expending ghosts for as long as possible. I'm sure there's a way to cheese the score and I might continue to try my best to do better. The only feedback that I can provide is that the text was difficult to read. Otherwise, great experience.

Colony Defender by Henrik Ganard 2022-04-05T18:15:38Z

I'll echo the same comments as above, prices were too low, nothing happened at the "end", but the rest of the experience is pretty polished and enjoyable. I loved the idea - this could totally be a commercial release with some additional content and fixes. Well done!

RPS Arena by HungryCatGames 2022-04-06T03:04:59Z

Neat idea. The timer based ending could be addressed, but the idea is cool and I didn't get sick of the booming "Begin".

OSTRO by Totteri 2022-04-06T16:36:28Z

I like the backstory, the UI, the puzzle aspects, and the overall gameplay. The puzzle mechanic based around processes is neat and implemented very well. When I failed a login attempt, the sound did scare me, which is actually appropriate for the game, though, I think the volume was more the reason why I jumped. This is a great way to tell a story and I'm a big fan of this sort of experience. Well done!

Trash Panic! by Defrag 2022-04-06T03:10:03Z

I'm a fan of the "tutorial text" in the beginning - but there was just so much to read and so little time! I'm also glad you gave us toggles for the sound and the tutorial text - I found that quite useful. This is a neat idea and a nice packaged up experience. Well done.

Foundations by 0x746564 2022-04-05T23:13:59Z

I am terrible at this, so the theme fits perfectly. Pretty good execution and polish. Well done!

A Small Fable by HiddenTavern 2022-04-05T17:59:55Z

This is a beautifully crafted short experience. The palette fits in quite well and the graphics are retro/stunning. The audio design is great and the book experience makes this an engaging experience.

Vampire Run by Turquoise Moon 2022-04-07T02:19:32Z

Simple and well executed. The song is really good too. I too wish the jump were also the toggle between forms. Also, the motion was super fast and started to make me motion sick. The whole rotation thing could probably be slowed down a bit to alleviate that issue. Otherwise, nice job.

The Death of Time by OminusGalaxy44 2022-04-06T02:56:19Z

I'm a huge fan of how you implemented lore into the game. It allowed me to either completely skip it and go straight into the action, or, I could page through the lore to get a better understanding of what was going on. Cool idea.

The controls were very sensitive for the keyboard which made for some tricky gameplay. Otherwise, it's a neat and concisely packaged up idea.

Timebound by zSharpFire 2022-04-07T01:56:20Z

Screen Shot 2022-04-06 at 9.53.34 PM.png

I only died because my finger tired of holding the right arrow.

Neat game - it scare the crap out of me when I first started. Sensory overload.

The aesthetics/graphics work and I like the subtle post processing going on. The sound gets a bit repetitive, but that doesn't hurt the gameplay. Well done!

Oort's Escape by conduit.games 2022-04-05T23:35:55Z

@0x746564 and @drentsoft there is most definitely a collision bug when dragging satellites over/past other satellites. It was top of my list to fix, but I just ran out of time. My apologies for the degraded experience. I will likely fix it and upload a new build after the voting period ends (unless if I'm allowed to do that now).

Delay the inevitable - Death by sephyr 2022-04-07T02:01:30Z

Simple, short, neatly executed. I don't know what the mushroom was for. More levels would have been enjoyable. Also, realistic physics would have made it a more fun sandbox sort of game. Else, this was a pleasant short game. Well done!

Fire in the Hole by bkshrader 2022-04-06T16:17:45Z

Neat idea and fairly simple logic allowed the levels to be beatable but not too easy. The progression between levels felt right. The sound is effective and the graphics are effective. Player animations would have made me rate the game higher. I somehow cheesed the last level by picking up both bombs at the same time but I was able to get through all the doors - not sure what exactly happened there. Regardless, this one's pretty good.

Drama Crusade by Stenblood 2022-04-06T16:01:09Z

This game was absolutely terrifying - but I think that's the point. It seems so innocent, but I guess I'm just very naïve. I will say that the overall sound was too loud, but the environmental sound was great.

LD59 — Signal

Radio Galaxy by Skyeward 2026-04-24T02:14:55Z

Maybe some of the best planets I've seen. Beautiful.

I wish escape did something. I had no way to exit the game early, so some UI would go a long way.

I loved the presentation here but my rotation skills are indeed subpar. Liked the idea, wish I could utilize middle mouse or some other rotation mechanics, but maybe I missed something.

Chomp Radio by alexrose 2026-04-24T14:00:07Z

I immediately felt OP and thought game was unbalanced. Then I got wrecked and was no longer OP. I love that I was able to quickly again become OP, or so I thought, just to get wrecked again.

Super fun experience. Absolutely hilarious voice acting. Fast-paced action. Well done. Would have loved to have been able to hit escape for a pause menu or something. Cheers!

Missed Signals: Road Rage Frenzy by Random-storykeeper 2026-04-24T14:05:42Z

Nice little entry here. Sound and graphics are very fitting and work well together. I didn't find it challenging enough to feel compelled to keep playing. It's a bit organic - the cars get impatient and will move on their own. Cheers!

We Trust You Are Well by atmospherium 2026-04-25T03:19:33Z

This was fabulous. I love this style of storytelling and boy was it fun to seek out the story this way. Thank you for making this!

signOS by Wendel Scardua 2026-04-26T03:21:16Z

Dear @wendel-scardua, thank you for making this. I echo @coleslaughter here, undo would make me happy. I'm super pleased with the level select interface with the performance reporting. It just fits.

I think the level difficultly ramps up a bit too fast. Also, it lacks much audio and I do love me some audio.

Fantastic job here, Wendel. Cheers!

TellyBuddy by ColeSlaughter 2026-04-26T03:02:14Z

Took me too long to pick up on some cues, but boy, when I did pick up on them...(pure cinema).

I had a fantastic time. I see some Witness inspiration in here. :) Cheers.

Human in the middle by Colisan 2026-04-26T04:19:51Z

I'm not even trying to beat Mark or Ategondev...

I too am bad at this and I went in without reading the instructions and couldn't figure out how to dash instead of dot. Once I figured that out, smooth sailing. Well done, I'm bad, don't take my instructions away from me. Fantastic visuals on this one too. With a leaderboard even!

Router Wilds by Brainoid 2026-04-25T03:12:14Z

These are some badass models. Uwu level wrecked me.

Rail Rush by Sharky3188 2026-04-26T13:04:13Z

Fantastic entry. Mood, art, audio, gameplay, all great. Once it clicked, I think I was able to successfully manage a ton of signals. I enjoyed this. Thanks!

MEGAHONK by kuviman 2026-04-24T02:05:57Z

I'm not patient enough to go over 1k.

Fantastic job, kuvi. I appreciate that it was done in your custom programming language.

BTW, love the brainoid tracks. Well done.

Badcaster Shneebly by Blue Pin Studio 2026-04-24T02:28:24Z

I did not understand my assignment and I could never get movement on the happiness bar. The police ended up idling at the end of a path and I'm not sure what happened.

Presentation is fantastic. I loved the visuals, the music, the vibes. I just wish I could understand more what I was trying to accomplish and how to get there.

Well done. Cheers!

Roadkill junction by BadPiggy 2026-04-24T03:01:58Z

I was looking forward to a badpiggy game. I was not disappointed. Thank you for making this for me.

Only feedback - holding J and tapping a direction works. I would also like holding a direction and tapping J. In fact, I think I would like that better.

Cheers, piggy.

Man On Fire by debugman18 2026-04-26T13:24:48Z

Fire.

Also, I kinda wish it had mouse camera controls.

Long Distance by conduit.games 2026-04-24T12:51:15Z

@tkap1 Thanks for playing!

@midnightmist Thanks for playing!

@skyeward Thanks for playing and for the feedback. If you want to see that game, it's here: https://code5037.itch.io/rail-to-scale It was made for D2Jam which is a fantastic community.

@hammerfrenzy Thanks for playing. My apologies, there are some input bugs in the jam version. I'll get out a post-jam version soon to address these.

@cody-raethke Interesting feedback. These are excellent ideas that would fit the game quite well. If I take it any further, I might try your suggested mechanics. Cheers and thanks for playing!

Long Distance by conduit.games 2026-04-24T15:48:42Z

@the-big-lost Thanks for playing!

Yep, I wish I had expanded the game a bit more. Maybe I can do this post-jam, but I was strapped for time. This is great feedback though.

Long Distance by conduit.games 2026-04-24T15:49:59Z

@aruseus Thanks so much for playing! There are a few input bugs in the jam version. Fingers-crossed that I get a post-jam version that fixes these. Cheers!

Long Distance by conduit.games 2026-04-26T01:51:31Z

Aww, shucks, @ruddiculous. Thanks for taking the time to...enjoy my little puzzle game. You know I enjoy my gimmicks.

Time for me to get TellyBuddied!

Captain Distress by HexStart 2026-04-24T02:47:02Z

Fantastic entry. I did sit here for half an hour trying to figure out the best routes. Classic travelling salesman problem.

Graphics are fantastic. The generated text is great. Sounds and music are fantastic. This is what I expect from Tano.

Well done all! Great little loop!

Switchboard Sprite by Falk Hoeppner 2026-04-24T13:00:35Z

On day 4 I hit the same bug as above, no more calls coming in.

However, this was indeed a fun a catchy game to play. Took me a bit to get used to the mouse cursor and the mechanics. I do like how you can start off with the plugs in place, which makes it easier to play. The mechanics are indeed fun, the jostling cables are fun, the mouse cursor is fun, the music is cute. Well done!

HORIZON'S CALL by deadjolly 2026-04-24T13:33:20Z

It took me long to figure out what was happening and what to do. However, when I figured it out, what a fantastic experience! I realize it's a narrative experience, but I needed a little more information about what was going on at the beginning. Visually stunning, mechanics are solid, sound/atmosphere fantastic. Honestly, reminds me of an Outer Wilds sort of experience. Well done. Cheers!

Signal Slasher by Tkap1 2026-04-24T01:31:54Z

Thanks for playing mine. I think I echo a bunch of the things kuvi said. However, it's a fantastic entry. I'm surprised you were able to ship all these features in this game. Well done.

Fantastic entry. I have no idea how I was able to get either 100% or 90%, but buy was this a fun experience. Thanks for making this, it was fun all around. Great sound, visuals, feel (super fun smacking that television - I'm old enough to remember doing this with our 19in living room tv). Cheers!

Moonbucks by RossPar 2026-04-26T03:56:42Z

You can fullscreen on ludum dare page - you just have to scroll down and to the right to find the fullscreen button. This is kinda a pain, though. I would always suggest using itch as at least a backup for issues like this.

My biggest issue with this is that the tutorial is a wall of text and I really have a hard time remembering what I've read from a wall of text. In-game tutorialization works so much better for my cognition abilities.

From what I was able to see, this is a visually interesting game and the dialogue system was indeed fantastic. There's some great art in here, but I couldn't make it far with a wall of text.

can u talk? by The Big Lost 2026-04-26T03:49:24Z

Loved the concept, the presentation (especially the music). Really sets the mood.

I really had difficulty playing this with the arrow keys. I wish I would have been able to play with wasd. Also, volume settings would also be a positive here. I basically couldn't complete the first room - the jumping and movement with arrow keys was just too awkward for me. My apologies. Cheers on a beautiful looking and sounding game!

can u talk? by The Big Lost 2026-04-26T12:15:04Z

Too loud - I was able to counter with modifying the volume of the tab.

Joe's Alien Assault by aruseus 2026-04-26T03:40:02Z

This works. It's short, clear tutorial, has sounds, controls make sense, plays pretty well.

A few things would make this better - the ability to restart and some volume controls. Otherwise, this is indeed a quick, fun, small game. Cheers!
