Very fun, simple yet effective. Loved the mouth explosion. I did find a potential problem where I tried to add satellites but it took the money and deleted an existing one. But I got what I assume is the good ending so I'm happy xD

The music is a bop. I love the way things hint at the build up to the climax. The visual design definitely reinforced the mood. Would have been awesome if the explosions from your defense lasers could damage secondary meteors too.

What an absolute masterpiece. People who likes strategy would love to play a more developed version of this game :)

The concept is interesting but it get repetitive after the third wave. I literally have nothing to do while waiting to but the next satelite. Another things is the satelite is invincible. Maybe make them more vurnerable will make the game more balance

Loved the planet graphic with the little CRTish shimmer. Mouth explosion sound when the comets hit the planet were great!
There were a few times I tried to place a satellite but nothing happened and I lost my ability to place it.
That last comet though.
@0x746564 and @drentsoft there is most definitely a collision bug when dragging satellites over/past other satellites. It was top of my list to fix, but I just ran out of time. My apologies for the degraded experience. I will likely fix it and upload a new build after the voting period ends (unless if I'm allowed to do that now).
Holy crap this music is amazing :musical_score: :musical_note:
A cool concept executed pretty well! My main feedback is that the time between being able to make any decisions is pretty long at the start, which left me wondering if I was gonna get any more money ':D
Nice tower defense game. I always enjoy these and if not for your satellite bug I think I'd still be playing it. Good job.

Audio was really strong here, nice sound effects and great music! I also liked how you were able to tell a bit of a story even with such simple elements, like that first strike coming.
Gameplay-wise it was cool to watch my placements take effect and I definitely was eagerly watching the funding go up.
It's a cool little package you have here, so if you don't mind here are a few points of critique: There were long stretches where I didn't really have anything to do. Especially as a new player, the very long stretch between satellite 1 and 2 confused me. I assumed there was something I was supposed to be doing, but had not figured out. So I was spamming buttons and clicking around trying to figure out what I'd missed (nothing - I just had to wait). I'm also not sure I needed the "wave" button to interrupt the action, as the wave-break didn't really mean anything to me as the player.
You already know about the disappearing-satellite bug. This one got my first placement the first time I played, so that REALLY confused me! But after a restart I figured it out quickly enough.
I wonder if some cheaper smaller less-powerful satellites would help bootstrap the early game and give me more decision points?
Very nice job with the audio, and the graphics also captured the mood well. I think with a few extra decisions to play around with I could have spent even more time. Nice work.

I enjoyed the premise, but I would have liked to have seen more decision-making for the player, even if it was just between where to place satellites. As it is, I feel like my placement really didn't matter, as the range was generally sufficient to hit rocks coming from any direction. I really wanted the planet to rotate, even just for the aesthetics of watching the continents drift around while I protected millions of people.

Nice game! The art style, music, core idea of the game and sound effect are awesome. As others pointed out, I would like to have more stuff to do in the game. Either: - less powerful satellites, but you can build more of them quickly, and if they get hit by an asteroid they are destroyed, - or power of the satellite stays as it is, but they have short rage and player need to move them constantly from one place to another.
Anyway, good job!

Nice game! adding more types of satellites will make it even better. nice concept.
This such a cool game. It has a similar idea behind it as our game but I like the spin on the tower defense genre.
Cool game

Cool game overall! I like the Tower Defense theme of this game. Also funny number.chrome_a86ATxRUiX.png
I think the idea of a tower defence game where you protect earth from meteors is really good. Unfortunately I think that the game was too slow and it took far too many waves before you could place your second turret. Also when I was finally able to put my second one down, I experienced a glitch where the both of my turrets completely disappeared. Overall the game didn't feel interactive enough but I did enjoy the audio and the graphics. The UI was very clean and it was easy to understand what you were supposed to do.

The audio and graphics really stand out, they look super clean while maintaining a retro vibe! I also like that population regrows; something that we totally forgot about and I wish we'd implemented in our game.
Cool idea. Would love to see more things to buy. I had a problem where when I tried to build a satellite it removed my existing one, took my money, and didn't give me anything! It was after my first one so it kind of messed things up for me to say the least :-)
I think it is fun and the sound effects worked well too. I agree it moves too slow in the beginning though. You could say that the reason the satellites disappear is because they crash into each other.

I like the minimalist sound effects and sounds. The bug when you delete your satellite is unfortunate, I think you should go ahead and just fix it. A pretty simple and straightforward game, congrats on making it in time, keep making games! :)

I pretty much agree with the above comment and I would like to add that it takes a while before you can afford a second satellite. Maybe have that happen in the third wave .
The bright green/pink at the end was a bit too much. I found that if I held onto a satellite it would shoot meteors for me.
Overall the game idea is great and could use some refinement. Sound effects were great and the music nice and ambient while still being tense.
music is a pure jam, and love the tower defense thing going on! fun times
