I LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE, THIS IS SO GOOD!
Opening the embeded page itself, it seems to properly load: https://files.jam.host/embed/$396547/36301/index.html
But sadly hitting play there throws the following error (looks like a null ref error, should probably be there on editor too though it might not stop it working)...

Too bad, I was looking forward to playing, the art style looks sweet.
Also, are you using "invisible" buttons on top of an image? Guess they aren't quite invisible enough.

Couldn't get it to load. If you fix this, I would love to give your game an actual review and rating. Best of luck regardless.
Edit: I was able to play. The game itself is extremely short with minimal replayability. The mechanics and controls are sound, even if a bit clunky feeling. A solid entry in LD56
@antti-haavikko @memz Please try the downloads version, we have no experience to build a html game, if we fix it we will upload the right version. Thanks for comments!
@stardust-z Can't, it's Windows only. And not sure if even that will work as it's Unity and just a single exe. I think Unity games come up with more than that. Has someone actually played the game?

Have a try. May be it is Ok.
@antti-haavikko @memz It's okay on Unity Play now, you can try it. But it's just a tiny game, hope you can enjoy it. :)
@antti-haavikko Actually, this is the first game I made. Thank you for your advice. I also fixed some bugs. Art and sound partners have made great contributions to the game. Thanks them.
Played it through the unity link. Worked smoothly.
Loved the atmosphere and the beautiful background art in the menu but also the game level. The gameplay was a bit confusing; can you only avoid enemies? Because in the lowest part of the level going up is blocked, and there's an unavoidable enemy plant.
Great start to your game jam journey! The artists did a great job, the key art and characters are sooo cute :)
beautiful background, moody cosmic-deep ocean vibes. didn't notice spikes at the beginning of the level and kept dying; then later understood the mission. nice addition to this ludum, especially for the 1st game! keep working and good luck mates!
Played via Unity Link - worked fine.
The artstyle looks wonderful. Especially the player character has a pretty cool design. Controls felt good and it was fun to play.
First of all, congrats on your first jam game. It's released and playable, many people can't even say that. 🎉 And over scoping is super common, even for more experienced jammers. But scoping does get easier with repetition learning what you can accomplish in what time. Obviously you get better and faster at it too and learn from your mistakes. 😎
The art indeed was really nice. The character with the art style really reminded me of Alien Hominid. The animations were a bit too subtle and stiff in my opinion. Basing the intro animations on time no matter what the player was doing wasn't a great idea. The sounds were nice and music moody, it didn't loop too well though.
The background also had a looping seam...

Couldn't figure if it's possible to get past that wall jump section with the platform at the top. Even tried getting there few times as I kept missing a crystal.
The controls were a bit clunky. Jumps felt floaty and slow accelerating movement made it hard to make precise movements. Wall jumps didn't feel great due to this floatiness either and though the dash helped there a bit, it's cooldown was too long to use per jump. Not sure if it was intentional but you could still do your jump mid air if you fall off a platform without jumping. Kinda classic mistake.
The drop platforms were weird too. The initial one which had the help did exactly that (and didn't work with arrows btw) but the later ones just phase you through them automatically. Really surpised me and that's why I missed some crystal(s) on my first try.
Anyways, good job on your first (jam) game! 👍
@strong99 @antti-haavikko Thank you for your advice. It's the same URL, just a while ago I fixed the weird second stage jump, the jump stuck on the falling platform, made sure that only the player could go through the falling platform, added a design that you could jump multiple times while climbing the wall, the reverse wall jump was still there, and finally I modified the jump landing animation. The last enemy can be avoided
I really liked the art style and color palette! Background looks awesome. Characters stand out well and have great designs. Platforms are okay too, but not as good as characters.
In terms of gameplay the game really lacks a little bit of polish. Sometimes double jump doesn't work (that's so frustrating!). Spikes are hard to notice in comparison with regular platforms.
Are you supposed to jump on top of monsters to kill them? That damages my character but the monster dies, I found it a bit strange, but maybe just because in other platforming games it works differently...
Great job finishing a game! Good luck to your team in your future projects!
@woona Thanks for playing! If you are hurt, you will get three seconds of invulnerability, and then you can kill the monsters. But we didn't do well on the game tutorial, maybe more clearer next time!
nice game with sweet art style
Heard the game in a QQ group. It looks like a trial that a little creature trying to escape from a strange place. Will try soon.
Yay! I finished the game! I want to point out that I was constantly, each second, captivated by the game's visuals. They're beautiful, exotic, and alluring! The music selection fits perfectly. Absolutely phenomenal!
I like the art style the game Is also really fun, had a great time playing
Whoa the art style is charming! I loved the creature design, and the background added such a great depth to the game. I had a bit of readability issues with the spikes on the ground, though. When I died at first, I thought it was a bug, and only after returning to that spot did I realize it was a hazard.
Super cool game, though. I particularly liked the little creatures. Great submission, can't wait to play your next one.
Hmm, for some reason when I got to the "S" get down tutorial it didn't work. Maybe it was something on my end but I do like how it looked. It was a pretty cool atmosphere for what I played.
fun little game, i really like the art and the music is great too. nice atmosphere. little bit more polish would have been nice but for your first jam it is well done. good job!
Nice short escape game. The movement needs improvement to make this game plays better but the base is there.
Visual and audio sfx were great. Not totally sure you managed to convey the theme.
Played through the game and even found out about the many hidden crystals in an area. ;)
The level design was good. The introduction or use of the abilities felt natural.
My main issue with this game are the hitboxes. Collecting the crystals didn't feel so good, because you really need to go to the centre of the crystal. The audio feedback for getting the crystal was too quiet. I had to replay it, too find out if there was even a sound (there is, but quiet).
The dash felt good, also the "climbing" at the walls. The character design and animation was neat and I liked the colour palate you used for this game. Congrats for finishing your game!
@lllarso Happy to hear that you enjoyed it. It seems that you are the first one to find the hidden crystals. XD
Very good suggestions, we will do better next time. Thanks!
