Heyo! To be honest, I did not really understand what the first couple of words were for - I translated “RETURN IMPOSSIBLE” and the folder number. Then I realized that the easiest way was to decode it from the end :P
Also, is it intentional that one symbol can stand for two letters?SpacePPT.png

@pepebrante You're right—there was an error when resizing it. We'll fix it as soon as possible. There will be two dots for “I.”

The concept of decoding a signal and then having to quickly locate the correct folder sounds genuinely tense. It's a smart use of a single, focused mechanic that keeps the player engaged. Good luck with the rest of the jam!

Decoding Morse code is a great mechanic, in my opinion. I used it myself in two of my previous Ludum projects. However, I've come to realize that not everyone enjoys it. For many players, it's actually quite hard to grasp as a concept. So after getting feedback like that, I stopped adding Morse code to my games.
Overall, you made a pretty nice little game. A bit of music or ambient sound in the background wouldn't hurt, of course. The beep sound design itself was really pleasant.

@eugenik @zimennik Thank you for your comments. The Morse code is a bit challenging, and it might be boring for those who aren’t interested in it. Adding music to the game is a good idea,we’ll keep your suggestion in mind. There were a couple of small features we wanted to add, but we only managed to work on it during the last day of the Jam. We hope you enjoyed it anyway.
Morse code is nice idea, but i really dislike manual decoding like that so i cheated and used a external tool to decode the messages. This in turn turned to the game kinda of repeat the morse code which was suprisingly fun. I only did couple of messages since there was no clear indication if it was just a pool of messages or was there some progression. The art is nice, though i strugled find that i had to press the button in the machine since there was no feedback on what is clickable.

@prunus-padis Thank you for your feedback. You’re right it is a bit complicated as it stands, but since we were doing it on the last day, this was the fastest version we could put togethe I hope you still enjoyed it.

An interesting idea with the decoding, and the visuals are nice. I like how the ship looks in the window and how its windows shine. It wasn’t entirely clear where to click to receive the message, but I understand you were rushing on the last day. Good job :)

@helenajaine Yes, it’s hard to figure out where to click. We can’t explain it clearly, but I’m really glad you liked it.

Art style is cool and memorable, core mechanic is tense and challenging, but still a bit too complicated without proper visual markers on the UI, for example clicking on the right folder does not make ui react somehow, it would be easier to be immersed if the game would be a bit more reactive to the players actions. Anyway, it is fun idea, good luck bro

Fun decoding game! Love the visual setup of sitting at a desk with the spaceship out the window. The gameplay and visual setup gave me a bit of Papers Please vibes, and the morse code aspect reminded me of when Pokémon used braille that one time.
One thing I noticed during play, the inconsistent width and height of the dots and dashes for the number codes, combined with their small text size, made them a bit tedious to read.
Great job! Thanks for the game!

Probably fun decoding. But sound is cringy tbh. Selecting wrong folder just resets the game, that got me thinking if there's some bootloop

@asieke Thank you for your comment. “Papers, Please” actually did come to mind while designing the game, so I’m glad you mentioned it.Yes, there are some shortcomings in the game; since we only started working on it on the last day of the game jam, this is as much as we could complete for now. However, we’ll be releasing a small update soon.

@metalim Thank you for your comment. We recorded the sounds ourselves; I found it a bit strange that you thought they were cringe, but I respect your opinion. Since we made the game on the last day of the game jam, it’s a bit lacking and somewhat confusing in terms of explanation. We’re planning to release a small update soon. I hope you still enjoyed it.
Nice mechanic, i understand the intention of machine beeping as morse, but it would be nice to turn off the *beep sound* or make it lower.

@venomousmouse Thank you for your feedback. We will take it into consideration. And I hope you liked it 😊
Nice little game - I think it's always fun to enter the jam at the end and put something quick together, and I'm glad you guys did it! Would love to see an expanded version of this that really teaches you morse code bit by bit. It seems like the most straightforward way to play this is to look back and forth between the message and the chart, which can did a get tedious (eventually I learned I could just look at the last 1 or 2 numbers each time). But I did notice myself slowly starting to pick up letters one by one when I was playing at the start, and I started getting them more quickly. If you could build a version of the game that feels more like that, letting the player slowly build up their knowledge and quickly apply it, I'd love to come back and play more of that version of the game!
But even the version here is absolutely something to be proud of, great work guys :)

@chaseplays Your comment made us very happy thank you so much. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we plan to release a more playable, less boring version as soon as possible. I’m also very glad you like this version thank you again.
