Fun experience! The "OMG" on death got me giggling. The music is cool and fits the main character.
Its simple but for some reason i liked it a ton.
There is some deep understainding and timing required for the movement. If you slide at wrong timing you die. You just gotta do it right. The increasing speed make this more and more challenging. And the random tile layout and the randomnes of gaps makes it even harder. Really high skillcap!
Is the jump a "hidden" feature since you dont comment on that in text? Took me many runs to realize that i had even more options for movement.
I got to 48, if this had a quicker way to reset than clicking on the reset i would have played it more, but its fast pace and then reuquiring again to click for reset was annoying. (this was not helped the game crashing couple of times after death, webbuild)
The games audio is phenomenal, the ohmygod is just a perfect death sound!
PS: I tried it once more and accidentally got into a off screenspot on left, where i dont fall or anything and the game just keeps going (300) as of writing.
GOTY
I like the simplicity a lot, and the snowman in hell theme is fun. Great music too. The gameplay loop reminds me of old Flash games for some reason.
The web build was pretty laggy though, and the snowman's collision was really janky. The snowman's model is also really big and covers a lot of the screen. Other than trying to see it, I thought the level was really easy and didn't progress in difficulty over time. I only died eventually because the game kept stuttering and I'd get stuck sideways on the diagonals or in between platforms.
I think this game could shine with some technical refinement!
Great audio, but the gaps between every platform led to many unfair feeling deaths before the speed picks up
