Was a little bit hard shooting at caches, but after some time I got better playing and managed to collect them. Thank for your submission, is very cool!
You absolutely cooked with the music on this one! How is Psycle for the music? Overall game felt super polished but goodness it was hard, only managed to get 3 crates. Well done on the submission :)

Nice little shoot 'em up. It is suprisingly fully featured for a compo entry. I managed to collect the crates but was destroyed by the boss. Really nice artstyle and the music is impressively complex. Very good :)
Super well rounded! Absolutely loved this one. I couldn't beat the boss at the end, but had a lot of fun playing! Great submission ^_^
Nice classic shoot em up. A little difficult when enemies are stacked together. I liked the mechanics that you could accidentally shoot the balloon and drop the box or destroy the box itself.
The boss took me by surprise and dropped me right away, missiles came so quickly I didn't know how to evade them when they seemed to home on me.
Game looked polished and musics and sounds very retro 😊
15.png Tried it two times, unfortunately I suck :x Great art, music and gameplay. Was fun to play! Would've been cool if the crates had some upgrades like shooting 2 bullets or faster bullets. Do crates spawn randomly or after killing x planes? Wasn't sure about that. The boss is as already mentioned pretty hard :D
@rhewid Thanks for playing! Crates spawn randomly after each kill (and they rise up from the spot where the enemy plane went down), but the chance increases steadily until one drops. :slight_smile:
Awesome work, though I was very bad at this, the boss is a real PITA! The entire game feels very polished given 48 hours, impressive work on the pixel art too. Well done! :)

Very smooth game! I really liked you button design and the art in general! The gameplay was very intuitive and the sounds were very fitting!
Only problem I had with the game is that there was a huge lag when the boss spawned its rockets :(
But as you mentioned that you already know of this issue it will probably be nothing new to you. I don't know what the exact issue is but for my games it usually helped to just decrease the amount of particles being generated. And especially because your particles are "clouds" you could rather focus on the size than the amount and still get the same visual effect :D

Man I really tried on that boss. Played a LOT. Got so good I was getting the 5 crates in under 30 seconds but THAT FIGHT. I found out you can survive the missile by hiding high or low and attacking it when it changes position but that's also while other enemies are spawning and sometimes you can't cross over because something is there you couldn't shoot because... ya'know... missiles. Really fun game though, grew on me as I played! Wish the enemy projectiles were different since, sure they go the other way, but in a flash it's hard to determine movement with projectiles overlapping. Soundtrack was nice and it all had a great theme. Very well done! Now someone carry the torch and beat that boss please :fire:

@artificer You can do it! Hug the right edge when fighting the boss and hover at the "forehead" height of the zeppelin. :slight_smile:

An incrdibly strong entry to this edition of LD. I loved the graphics, the gameplay is quite hard, but rewarding, and the music, as the youngs say it, "slaps", hahah. Overall, a great game <3 I got to the boss, he shot 2 rockets and I died, so I will try again soon, definitely.
I've never actually played TaleSpin, but this was a nice horizontal shooter, and the visuals are really slick!

Nice game! The music is awesome! The graphics and all the particle effects look really nice, it looks very polished. I didn't experienced any lag. A really nice little game overall. I managed to go to the boss fight after a few tries by staying on the bottom of the screen :stuck_out_tongue: but then I failed. I'll see if I'll have time to beat it later.
Overall it's a really nice game!
I liked the idea of the game! I loved the graphics and the original music. I have to admit it was a bit hard at first, but once I got the hang of it, I managed to grab the crates. Great entry and a nice game!
