@eudaimyst that was a server error. everything should be fine now
Amazing game! Great visuals/animations/audio. Strong Balatro vibes from the UI/font (which caused me to dig out my PC to play it). I was a little confused by the pins - it showed I had 7 or so on the left, but only 3 were available to pin dice. The different types of dice were a bit confusing too - you mentioned that some had negative effects, but I had trouble figuring out what any of them did (some tooltips or something in the "?" popup would have helped). Looking forward to playing more if you decide to extend it!
Cool mood, and amazing take on the theme! It took me a while to get the jist, but it sure is a nice game. I think the pins bugged out a bit; I got more pins as I played, but never got to use more than three of them. Or maybe I missed something? Anyway, nice job. :)
@rob6566 @manabreak Thank you guys! Pin bug has been fixed
Really polished and satisfying! great job
Summoning dice is a fun twist on the theme, clever!
Instantly saw the Balatro-like quality, and was concerned I'd end up playing this for way more time than I had.. Mission accomplished, I've just spent over 30 minutes playing this! Well done!
This sometimes feels more like an endless/continuous version of Balatro, and that's a great thing!
The dice all have a great 'feel' to them with the physics and the soft-felt sound of the impact. Feels very well put-together!
Love the end-screen with a callout to follow the project, really clever touch!
Loved it, it's simple but really smart and fun! The atmosphere is really great! Well done! :)
Amazing Ludum Dare entry, feels like Balatro but with dices :D Very smooth and pollished game, didn't run into any bugs. Audio, Graphics and Gameplay, are amazing - i have to ask, but did you really compose the background music during the 48 hours? It sounds really great! Overall well done, one of the greater entries for LD55 i've seen so far, good job! :D
I enjoyed playing through it, and I liked the vibes of the game: makes you wanna take out a cigar and a glass of something strong to savour along :D
Really enjoyed playing the game!
Enjoyed the dice rolls to the fullest!
I really enjoyed this game! Fantastic effects!
Amazing effects, audio, and gameplay. I have no criticisms.
Wow, I love it! Very cool mechanics, awesome visual and sound. It is really clever to combine poker and dices together. It would be cool to place somewhere info about dices, because at some time I didn't understand, what it does.
Great visuals and sound design. I found it so satisfying just watching the dice roll and bounce haha. Really interesting dice available in the shop, especially the ones that have a chance to award extra pins. Great balance of luck and strategy here. I also like how the theme was incorporated both as trying to get a sum exceeding the quota, as well as the dice from the shop being summoned out of a portal in the center. Nice job!
You are really great! The game turned out great!
Very great visuals and sound. Enjoyed the animations of summoning the dice and the rolls. Great job !
Rememded me of Balatro with dice, great audio and feels very polished
Gorgeous game. The aesthetic is fantastic, and the mechanics weren't too hard to understand. I think the extra pins didn't work for me though. There's so much you could add to this - I hope you make it into a full release!
Really polished entry! The feel of the dice rolling around is very enjoyable
@byazzle @james-greenleaf @talon24 @yuu @kirass @magik8bal @krakadushka @aou @fredrik-andersson @thoastbot @lyamgtt @funday-games @dorren Thank you guys for your kind words and support! Your comments **summon** in me the desire to make a full version of this game, which could be better?
At the end of the workday my plan is to play your submissions!
Wow, you really NAILED the Balatro UI! Had quite a fun playing this, everything is super polished (actually quite confused on how to rate you on graphics since it looks really neat but is a perfect copy of balatro aside from the dices). The pin mechanic is also intersting (but I have a few concern about it, like, how to you get new pins ? I unlocked new pins slots but could not use them ? Or did I miss something?). Also, it's really hard to read the combos we do, maybe you could display them for a longer time and maybe on the right side of the screen (like replacing the shop when you display the combos). Overall, really good entry, had fun. PS: music is banger !
Many things to like here! Game looks great, feels great, sounds great! The main mechanic is interesting enough, along with figuring out how dice work and how best to use them. I reached 6/6 on my second attempt and *might* try going further some other time? Because the best combo, Balut! is reachable as early as round 2 or such, it'd be interesting to see what this game could offer were it designed for later play, or with different challenges in mind. I really liked this, overall! @tyrannas the pin slots work, but you have to unpin a dice to use the new ones... I assume it's a glitch ;) ps- my poor eyes seem to have issues looking at rbg, vhs, etc effects, so that unfortunately stops me from prolonged play. but that doesn't affect my rating ;)
@fusionnist Thanks for the review and your playing! It's nice that you liked the idea of figuring out the purpose of the dice - I was starting to think that it was more of a disadvantage. I'm SORRY about your eyeache!!! Just uploaded an option to turn effects off...
@koro-games That's just too nice!!! Thank you!!! I love mysteries and puzzles in general so I suppose this depends from person to person... ;)
Balatro but with dice? Now that's somethin' interesting. It'd be funny if it worked by yahtzee rules for extra money. There was a visual issue where the dice did not appear if there was a pinned dice right above the summoning dice portal.
super cool balatro like, i really like the pin mechanic its pretty intriguing i got a blackscreen on my 3rd run i don't know why, but the game was still running for some reason good game !
I think I'm an addict. I think I need to stop. Dice. Dice. I must roll. Forever. I cannot stop rolling.
The game was awesome, I greatly liked the visuals and really liked the UI. I like the idea of pinning the dice to save their amount, and I really liked the the shop and it's items.
Very very polished entry. Love the twist on Balatro, the music/visuals were wonderful. Could easily see this being fleshed out into a full game. Great work!
What can I say? I love balatro and I love dice
Wow, that's really cool. I think I played your game for an hour! But I still couldn't finish stage six! I'll try again!
Nice hommage to balatro, upgrade are interesting, just sometime a dice block the summoned dice, i played it twice but still did'nt get the last level. I had fun :)
What would you expect from Koro Games? A high quality game with addictive gameplay inspired by Balatro in two days! Nice polished game indeed. Great job!
@artemy-zen @katamary Thank you! It's pleasant to read such words from you
So satisfying to see the dice fall and all the numbers add up! Really nice graphics too, loved it.
The polish on this game is incredible! The art, the audio, the UI, everything feels very polished and finished! The pin animation is extremely satisfying aswell. I think the main thing is that the game just needs a lot of balancing. In the early rounds it was very easy to just keep rolling without any strategy. And it was very unclear what some of the extra dice did.
I think with some balancing and clearer feedback on what the summoned dice do, this could be a great game!!
i loved this one, the specials dices give a new refresh take on the concept, i love to test the possibles combinaisons ! great music too !
I love the animations a lot! The gameplay seemed like it's too dependent on randomness though, or at least I didn't see the a lot of control over it. You always want to get all the dice form the shop and pin the 6s. Maybe special skills like rerolling some of the dice or setting a specific die to a number could help with making the player feel more in control of the game. Overall, it's a cool concept, and I'm curious to see how its potential can be explored :)
Super polished experience, I thought the fact that newly summoned die had an effect on your current roll was really cool and unexpected. I wish there were just a few more decisions I could make beyond pinning, but overall I had a good time. Great work!
I could not get past round 6, felt like I was really close a few times but just couldn't get over the finishing line. Awesome graphics and interesting idea.
Damn, very solid entry. Great visuals and jazz, setting up a nice atmosphere. I love how the results pop up all around on the field. It would've been cool if you could get short description for the shop items.
How did you implement the dice faces, by determining vector direction?
Good job!
Really cool idea, simple but effective. Music is amazing and the animations are super polished.
