I think I'm stuck at this page?.
tiny superhot! :D great art style too
@xlores-liang Press enter! Sorry for any confusion :)
@umnatz yes always thought superhot's time mechanic was super fun. Thanks man glad you enjoyed
@jordantanner Really cool game! Love the artwork.
And awesome idea to create a superhot-like experience with 2D shooting game!
I think the focusing have some problem that I can only press enter after selecting some letters of the name. Besides, the UI went out of the screen no matter how I try to change the ressolution and zooming.
Great game with some fun mechanics and clean art style! I think I'll come back and play it again if that bug where sometimes the weapon doesn't reflect properly gets fixed.
Pretty fun game!
Hope you can fix the unpredictable reflection as that really holds this game back.
It might be nice to have the beam still present while reloading (could be red until it's ready to use or something).
I think it would make the game more engaging if you wouldn't be repositioned to the start on damage. Just have the player lose a health point instead, while staying at the same position.
If I go to the menu and click restart mid-game the first level no longer registers that I've cleared it and I can only progress by refreshing the page, which makes it frustrating to retry runs.
Despite the issues this is a solid game!
I really like the art style you have! The colors and choice of font is really eye-catching. Aiming is super spotty, I'm not sure why? I've looked over your code and it looks okay, it might be something to do with the line renderer. Maybe try to increase the thickness of it a bit more? It makes it really hard to see if you have a good shot lined up if the line keeps blinking in and out of existance. Otherwise this was really good. Great work! ^^
@xlores-liang Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed. Maybe I made the name entry UX too minimal!
@unless-games Happy to report that I got this beam reflection issue fixed! As far as repositioning, you're dying with every hit, so it made sense to me to respawn you at the spawn point. Regarding restarting from the menu, that button restarts the entire game, not the current level. Sorry for any confusion. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the detailed feedback!
@phobos001 The aiming/beam reflection bug has now been fixed. Thanks for taking a look at the code and trying to help. The solution was to offset the point of where the reflected beam ends/next one begins by a tiny amount. Glad you enjoyed!
ranking first lol. fun game I like it. Quantum 47x.png
>Regarding restarting from the menu, that button restarts the entire game, not the current level.
I get that, but after one restart from the menu, I shoot the two enemies on the first level and the game no longer registers that I cleared the level, I am stuck on an empty first level. Maybe it doesn't happen all the time but it did for me.
@unless-games Ohh I didn't realize that. Thanks very much for the detailed feedback. Sorry that was happening! I'll do some testing and try to fix that asap. I appreciate the info.
This was fun lining up the perfect shot to take out as many as possible
Unfortunately it doesn't work with Magic Mouse on Mac. It doesn't register the left button when holding so you can't shoot. Too bad since it looks like my type of game! I will see if I can get a chance to play it on PC and will rate it then.
Cool vibe! Played a few levels and it was solid. At first I thought the game was lagging, but then after reading the comments I realized it was a slow-down mechanic. :D
Nice superhot game. And the music is awesome.
Loooooved this... Great idea, well executed. I had a bunch of tries and came third. More levels, change up the mechanics a bit as you progress - could easily make a full game out of this. Nice.
@voidraizer Glad you enjoyed, thank you!
@lantto Ah I didn't think about 1-button mouses. Maybe holding Shift instead of RMB would be a nice alternative?
@manabreak Sorry for any confusion -- I guess the time slowdown could look like lag! Maybe I should add some audio/visual cue that the slowdown is happening, so that it's more obvious it's intentional? Maybe I'll tweak some of the post-processing effects just slightly during the slowdown.
@sdcorpse You're the only one to mention the music, so thanks! It was rushed, so it's not a compelling concept musically, but hopefully the vibe is there.
@garys My data shows you played for almost 20 minutes! Thanks man I really appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed. Yes I'm currently working on a bunch of new levels today for the post-compo version. Hopefully will have a TON of new levels for people to play over the weekend, so please check back! :)
I have a similar problem to lantto. I'm on a laptop with trackpad so I can't click left and right at the same time
So good, I love the vibe and the slow mo!
@loco sorry dudeScreenshot 2024-10-11 at 8.56.37 PM.png
Also this is a really cool game! I really like the concept! The only suggestion I would give would be that I think it would be useful if the enemies couldn't move. But good job!
Quite a hardcore tiny game. I really enjoyed playing it, however, it would be great to have some indication when enemies will start attacking the player.
[Thanks for submitting your game to stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2274205446?t=04h04m18s)
This was such a cool take on the minigolf genre! I can totally see myself coming back to this to get better.
Great job on this one. One of my favorites!
@coleslaughter Thanks for playing and streaming, Jared, and for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed it
