I got past the first puzzle fine, but could never get the left one on puzzle two to rotate into the right orientation. It seemed like it was permanently off axis and I couldn't bring it back :( That aside, I really like the music and visual style to it. Very nicely done.

manabreak 2025-04-06 17:09

@clintor24 Hmm, did you try to reset the level? The rotation code is a bit wonky, that's why there's the reset functionality. :)

baknik 2025-04-07 04:22

I did have to reset that level but I got there in the end. Nice job!

subsolar 2025-04-07 04:25

nice! the music is great, very innovative concept!

jeffez 2025-04-07 07:13

The music is really cool, the game is fun but I couldn't pass when you can use [Q] and [E] to rotate the multiple object.

I suspect that I wasn't choosing the right color, because as a Colorblind, it was difficult for me to see them (Adding a pattern on the face would have made it way more easier for me.)

I love the idea of the game though, and the message were really humorous.

Continue making game !

Very awesome! Some of the later levels had some ambiguous orientations (only one side of certain cubes were shows in the preview) which made it a bit annoying to try all possible rotations of it. Also I had to flip one of two of the levels after completing it (even though everything matched). Also, have you considered a per-shape reset instead of resetting the whole thing? But I played all the way through and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very awesome vibe, and great music!

manabreak 2025-04-07 09:29

@jeffez Thanks for the feedback! I actually thought about the colorblindness aspect, but didn't really have time to tackle that anymore at that point.

@lightningst Thanks for playing! I actually ran into the flip issue once during testing, but couldn't reproduce it or figure out what was causing it - probably something very simple that I just missed. It's also 100% possible that some rotations or solutions are visually ambiguous - again, I realized the difficulty of designing the puzzles waaaay into the compo, so I had to wing it a bit. Glad you made it to the end, I was worried that it would be too difficult.

lightningst 2025-04-07 09:47

@jeffez even as someone who is not colorblind, I sometimes had a hard time telling the blue and grey apart, especially in the previews.

gemcc 2025-04-07 09:58

Really cool game, reminds me of the portal series - I can imagine it with some voice acting. Really nice minimal graphics as well!

scrawach 2025-04-07 12:11

I love puzzles. Spatial puzzles leave an interesting impression. I like the point where after X minutes it's like the brain is already adapting to the tasks on its own.

With more explicit colors it probably really could have been better. It's good in the beginning, but towards the end you already have to compare the gradient on the faces (or is it a hack?) to get the right shape. However, I think being able to zoom for references would also be very good.

Anyway, cool work! Thanks for the game :)

p1x3lc0w 2025-04-07 12:44

Some really cool puzzles, and i like the sotrytelling; very stylish visuals aswell! The text felt a bit slow for me sometimes, i personally prefer to advance text manually; think that would have worked well for the intro. Another minor issue is that the ui gets really small in fullscreen for me (outside of fullscreen the ui seemed just right). I liked the music but i think some sounds for rotating objects would have felt good. Overall i had fun, great work and thanks for the game!

jcmonkey 2025-04-07 17:51

that text is SOOO slow. there should be a skip in there, or make the text come out faster.

tasakasama 2025-04-07 18:07

Same here, introduction is very slow ^^

mrs-wheelsx 2025-04-08 00:41

I think I would have had a better time of it if there had been maybe black lines for the edges of the cube sides. But, I have some vision issues, so it could just be a me thing lol. Good game. Looking forward to seeing you in October!

paragonraptors 2025-04-08 08:08

The polish on this is fantastic! The combination of the music and UI really elevates the simplicity. Also, I don't mind the slow intro. It sets the tone in a way that makes the game feel like it exists in its own world.

manabreak 2025-04-08 11:11

@p1x3lc0w @jcmonkey @tasakasama About the slow text: That's pretty much done on purpose. Game design wise, I tried to lean into this dystopian organization "lifestyle" where employees are nothing but pawns. In addition, I want to promote a bit slower way of life - modern world of constantly refreshing content has led to shortened attention spans among other things, to the point where people are incapable of reading books or watching slow-paced movies (or playing slower games). I understand if this goes against the grain for you; There are other good LD entries for you to play instead.

To everyone: Thank you so much for your kind words.

shiheuan 2025-04-09 02:25

The mood is wonderful. I really like your game.

cammin 2025-04-10 06:06

The presentation is very nice. I appreciate the simple controls But, like rubix cube, my brain isn't built for this haha, but I think the concept is neat and also original.

rinevard 2025-04-10 10:27

Cool art! This game reminds me of the days in high school when I had to do orthographic projection problems😂

oadt 2025-04-12 13:20

Nice concept and cool puzzles! As already mentioned by others, the colors, especially with the glowing effect was a bit of a problem for me, but the game was still fun once I got the hang of it. But I got stuck at this level:

Bildschirmfoto 2025-04-12 um 15.13.06.png

Yes, I rotated it to the front and the front actually also seems correct. I suspect there is some additional constrain concerning a color I cant see? But still great entry!

manabreak 2025-04-12 13:59

@OadT Thanks for playing! It might actually be a bug - some other player mentioned that despite being correct, the game didn't recognize it as correct until swapping it back and forth. Perhaps it's a rounding point error or some other minor thing I missed during the compo. :slight_frown:

designernap 2025-04-17 13:06

REALLY interesting puzzle game and one I can imagine lots of people clicking with, but I really struggled to work this one out :) managed the first couple but got stuck soon after. Wonderful mood and audio though, great presentation.

manabreak 2025-04-17 16:28

@designernap Don't sweat it, even I had difficulties with some of them (and I designed them!) 😅
