Looks cool. I downloaded it but it won't run. The error logs say that it has something to do with: # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6ced0e9e, pid=7844, tid=3832

kopeph 2014-12-09 03:30

This was a super cool game!

digibody 2014-12-09 03:38

Wanted to try, but then saw it was done in Java :( (I had it unstalled on my computer for security)

zakchaos 2014-12-09 04:03

great use of screen, created a very futile mood, well done!

cyrus 2014-12-09 04:03

I like the style of this game :)

Would love some more detailed tutorial though, because I could not figure out the mechanics to keep the crew alive. Constantly getting eaten by aliens =/

lurumdurum 2014-12-09 12:59

The screenshot looks interesting.

Since it's made in Java, I have trouble running the game. With my limited knowledge, I couldn't make the game run. :(

justinmullin 2014-12-10 02:12

I've added a Windows EXE (which bundles a JRE) for those who can't or won't run a JAR file. Hope that helps for some folks. =)

chris-mondok 2014-12-10 02:59

Very cool game. The sense of foreboding is impressive considering the minimal graphics.

Strangely, the sound was *extremely* quiet. I had to turn my speakers all the way up to hear anything (and they're usually quite loud, I never have them up over 20%).

Cool game, it's pretty hard.

trisquare 2014-12-10 03:10

It was a neat game, but it took me like 10 minutes ti get your exe working for me though

eerongal 2014-12-10 03:11

This is a really interesting game. I would love to see the concept expanded!

sorlok 2014-12-10 03:23

Great! I loved the mood of the game, although I found some of the mechanics a bit hard to grasp intuitively. Still, very intense and enjoyable. Great job!

minibobbo 2014-12-10 03:26

I was a confused about what was going on when I started playing. After the first playthough I figured out I could locate the position of the monster by using the probes. The second game I learned that you can't hide from it in the rooms.

I really enjoyed this, although some sort of instructions would have helped make this more accessible. I didn't understand what was happening the first time through and I almost didn't try again, which would mean I would have missed out in an excellent experience.

pkenney 2014-12-10 03:58

Dang it! I got two full guys off the derelict, but unfortunately Mr Green was eaten alive with an almost-full pack. That was probably the best level layout I was going to get, so I couldn't beat your game.

What a mood for such a simple display! Great job getting it across.

It took me a few rounds to learn to play. I assumed my shuttle was safe at first, and that I was supposed to run and shelter there when the monster came around. But my guys panicked and ran away. My last runs I was moving all over the ship and redirecting guys away from the signal earlier and I started to do better.

I enjoyed playing. Graphics were well designed if simple, and the interface was smooth and easy, despite being unfamiliar.

Great design well executed, congrats!

I struggled with this one but did like it. The controls weren't too hard to grasp(the text layout of "Probe A Q" "W Probe B" was confusing) but I don't think I got the strategy even after I "won." The monster basically seems inescapable no matter how you plan and probe. The way I actually won was(rot13):

Gnxr nyy guerr perj zrzoref gb gur ynetrfg arneol ebbz. Nf fbba nf gurl'er qbar ercrng jvgu gur arkg ynetr ebbz. Guvf znl unir bayl jbexrq orpnhfr gur znc trarengrq unq gur zbafgre fgneg va n cbfvgvba gung zvtug genc n fvzcyr NV jvgu cbbe cngusvaqvat novyvgl.

flatgub 2014-12-10 09:15

Wow, that was really cood and tense. Awesome game!

susanthecat 2014-12-10 21:24

The banter between the people really makes this game.

rodobodolfo 2014-12-10 22:11

REally Like It. Hard to figure it out what to do. And sound seems extremely low. overall great game!

arcturusdeluxe 2014-12-10 22:46

This was actually really cool. I'm surprised how tense you managed to make being chased down by a red square. Having to deal with multiple characters at once was a neat challenge as well. The visuals and musics were cool too.

phocker 2014-12-11 03:19

really great job - the music and sound added a lot to the mood of this game

hissssssssss 2014-12-11 08:39

The .exe crashes when I try to run it, without displaying an error message. I'm running 32-bit Windows 7.

fleegle2000 2014-12-11 15:58

Very nicely done. Hard and creepy! Audio was suitably spooky but I found the volume a bit on the low side - I had to crank my speakers to hear anything. I also found the controls a little unintuitive and tricky to get used to. Graphics were simple but effective - the fact that I still don't know what that red block was gives me a chill and adds to the creepy atmosphere. I like the procedurally-generated rooms as well. Great work!

rincewind_cz 2014-12-11 22:22

Nice atmospheric game. It's been bit hard to find out how to play at first actually. But then it was really nice experience. Good job

esaygin 2014-12-12 07:24

Sth like that i saw last time on Steam. I wondered that people like that Genre, but why not. Good work!

andreaswitzen 2014-12-12 07:33

Very nice mood, and cool in a minimalistic way. Very hard though, and I didn't really feel like i had time to follow the dialogue.

Very nicely done, all the elements (dialogues, sounds...) contribute to a very interesting mood. It's pretty hard, though :p

bushmango3 2014-12-12 18:19

Very creepy! 5/5 for mood for sure

maxmetallica 2014-12-29 19:28

nice work
