Cool game - I like the mode and the graphics but like most others found it to be quite frustrating to play

I wasn't able to beat it, but this was fun - I find that I usually enjoy tower defense those few times when there is direct avatar control. It makes it more manageable. I definitely would enjoy some new tower mechanics, I felt pretty limited by my choices in this demo. I'm also bad at tower defense, so I may have just wanted it to be easier, haha.
I melted that terrifying snowman!!! it could be helpful to know when the game ends.
Gonna agree with a lot of the comments here. Slow start, but it became fun once i started flying through building new parts of the cathedral. That part of the game was stretched too long though.
I found that the segment after that was unfairly difficult. I love the aesthetic though, really interesting.
Not sure how this game fits into the theme, but it's a loosely defined theme anyways.
Nice and relaxing puzzle game. I really enjoyed playing it. I found it a little hard to understand what was happening the first time I played and I lost all my stones off the edge of the display. On the 2nd go, I figured out what to do and completed all the levels. The levels were interesting, but didn't seem to increase much in difficulty as you progressed.
IT's a cool idea and looks pretty awesome. I found it seems pretty random where the next platform comes out and so sometimes it isn't possible to move before you die. that's a bit of a bummer.
Fun game for a short play - graphics and music are great. Love the way you used the theme.
Nice use of the theme. I kept the boss happy but was in a bad mood
Cool idea. The graphics were a bit too dark which made it very hard to see where to move
For a simple game, the instructions seemed to be a bit unclear. I went full-screen as others had suggested and then went to the instructions scene before player. Then the back button did not work and I could not get to the game. Pressed escape to get out of full screen mode and then the back button did work. Played the game back in full screen mode again. The explosions did not seem to be working. Nice effort. It has real potential to be an interesting game, but needs more polishing.
I love where this is going. The conversation parts of mass effect are their best parts, and FTL is meaningless without their event scenes. I LOVE text parsers, and i like when i see people do innovative things with them. In terms of the core idea and aesthetic, you guys really hit my sweet spot.
That said, this game doesn't feel like a really complete game, even in the context of the jam. The depth of the conversations is too limited, the battles are maybe more frustrating than you intend. The scope of what these mechanics ask for is way more than what you guys made. It also crashes during the credits :(
I would be reeeally interested in this game if you guys fleshed this out into a full thing! I'll send one of you an email, please keep working on this, and keep me updated!
Great graphics and really funny at first. But game gets repetitive very quickly
Pretty fun, though not much depth - I do really like the built in difficulty curve that others have mentioned, smart idea
The in game graphics are actually pretty good, they fit well, why is the title screen so much worse? I would definitely appreciate more powerups
Neon on black looks good, but the game shows up really tiny - not sure why.
Hah, my team has a similar theme to yours, though we went the casual game route and you went the metroidvania route. Your game is much more complete than ours. I like it - but I thought the platforming was more punishing than challenging, and judging by the way the character sometimes clicked onto platforms, you had trouble with that as well.
Cute game. Very simple but fun.
Really fun. I thought that the random element of the game was maybe too much, it was sort of hard to prepare for future decisions, when you're essentially flipping a coin as to whether an upcoming block would be an I block or an L block or what have you. Maybe a longer lookahead?
If we could even see the next 2 blocks that would make the dynamic of the game more strategic.
My high score was 297
Really nice combination of Match 3 and Snakes and Ladders. I like the way the 2 mechanics work together.
