LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

RELIC by CptDustmite 2015-05-05T08:39:00

Theres a bug when standing on the floating platforms, that doesn't allow you to jump. Otherwise, great game!

Dislocator by arhpositive 2015-04-21T19:40:00

Great game! Very unique concept, and the two different ammo types add quite a unique element of choice. I would have liked to have been able to use the "speed-up" bullets more often. Perhaps experiment with scarcity of resources vs. the power of the resource?

Eroji - Peeking Pervert by omgnoseat 2015-05-05T08:22:00

Running off the map was a big problem during gameplay. Nice Graphics though!

Miyu by SecondDimension 2015-04-24T20:25:00

Great graphics and mood. I experienced some text bugs during my play through. Herding the spirits felt more frustrating than relaxing. I didn't feel compelled to get them through the portals.

Floppy Disk: Massacre by LeetLeaf 2015-05-05T08:25:00

Agh! Controls aren't working! These technical hiccups are really unfortunate and they can turn a potentially great game into an unplayable one.

Spacebees by Lycaon 2015-04-20T02:34:00

Same, 404 Error here. The OS X download also didnt work.

Viral Mutation Manipulation Simulation by HuvaaKoodia 2015-05-08T20:40:00

I couldn't figure out how to play!

Silence by Erkberg 2015-05-01T01:55:00

Great sound, but I have to agree with the critiques of the game being a bit too dark, was difficult to see.

Into The Fray by Naked_Samurai 2015-05-05T08:16:00

The slowness of the game really made it drag at times. I felt like the collision detection with the nodes could be improved a bit.

Wax Attack by lkpridgeon 2015-04-24T20:04:00

If you were to go further, maybe explore ways to translate that rewarding feeling of cleaning earwax... Audio would help make clearing earwax feel more rewarding.

Great game, two player would be awesome

Freddy's Challange by Shimone 2015-05-05T08:06:00

Controls are a bit unforgiving, great audio and graphics though!

The War Dog by Xinelu 2015-04-21T19:35:00

Audio wasn't working for me. I agree with the previous comments: great theme, but gameplay could use some improvement, maybe vary the obstacles in each level?

Bears in the Dark by Ivan Volkov 2015-05-05T18:13:00

Very innovative game! I like the use of resource management i.e. the resource of visibility. Good work!

Sticks and Stones by adsilcott 2015-04-22T08:30:00

Great game! The concept is so strong! Agree with the above comments to push this further and with the comment with "anti bullying". Especially this whole cyber bullying thing, I think that a game communicates this idea quite nicely. Nice work!

Best Game I've played so far... really innovative

Floyd the Pufferfish: Slayer of Squid by killako 2015-04-22T08:18:00

Thanks everyone for the comments! Really means a lot to hear the feedback. Definitely agree with the criticism.

Towards the end of the 48 hours I was madly tweaking the amount of enemies that spawn at the later levels. Currently its capped at 20, but I'm finding that 16 seems to be a much more manageable number.

Also I've been showing my game to a lot of my friends and they too say that getting a notification for when the breath is about to expire would be helpful.

On collision detection: Unity's animation controller doesn't seem to handle dynamically changing colliders on game objects, I believe this is the reason that collisions seem off. I'm currently refining that as well, thanks for bringing that up.

Lastly, about pufferfish color and art refinement: both would be great! I think that adding music would help gamers get into that "squid slaying rhythm" and perhaps adding a more distinguished look to the different enemies (maybe in their headbands?)

Just wanted to comment and say that I do really appreciate all the feedback, and for playing my game.

Ghost Prosecutor: Closing Statement by awestsecurity 2015-04-23T23:16:00

Once you learn how to use the combos, winning becomes trivial. Often with super powerful combos (like Expert Witness) perhaps filling a "power meter" before executing would be nice, as a way to limit the more powerful abilities. If the Jury attacked with moves of their own, there could be options to introduce counter abilities for the ghost. The art is great, the character and setting seem very unique, and I like the use of the theme. Good work.

The Cleansing of Floaro's Tomb by Hopscotch 2015-04-23T23:05:00

Placing the obstacles was difficult, as sometimes mummies would walk onto rocks just placed. Perhaps create some logic for placing rocks onto of enemies? For example, if I place a rock on in a location the same instance a mummy is there, the mummy changes directions? Great artwork though, and interesting idea overall.

Cornflake Ninja by badlydrawnrod 2015-04-24T20:11:00

Pretty fun and overall enjoyable game!
