Quick question: how did you configure your hosting to allow the Unity WebGL port to run? Just I couldn't seem to make it work :P
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD32 → Viral Mutation Manipulation Simulation

Quick question: how did you configure your hosting to allow the Unity WebGL port to run? Just I couldn't seem to make it work :P
Pretty complex to figure out, but nice presentation, cool game overall!
@jthistle
After cursing at Google Drive for a moment I remembered GitHub pages and gave it a shot. Works out of the box. Look in the project files section at https://pages.github.com/ if you're interested. Other than that, I'm out. Not an internet tech wizard me.
Found out what to do, looks pretty complex though if you actually read the instructions it's very simple, fucking duh ! :d I made some interesting viruses but I don't quite understand the goal of the game, because I don't know where the mixer items are going. It's really hard to keep track of these viruses because I can't name them and I can't remove ones I don't want anymore, and it crashes quite a bit so I can't get far.
@hercludes
Thanks for the feedback. I certainly have a lot of work to do on the interface and bug fixing.
The game hit an exception in the web player, but I got to play it long enough to see it was pretty awesome!
I loved the references to the making of the game the most. The mechanics look like you have an awesome idea for what they're supposed to be, but you just didn't have enough time to really flesh them out.
Overall, I loved it! Keep making games :)
Needs sound but fun to play around with. Nice take on the theme.
i got an exception error after a minute or so, it looks really complex and its fun to see minions labouring over your orders though ! i couldnt understand what the screens were for or how to judge what i made. its not very accessible, but i like the idea of making a virus.
Cool graphics and correct implementatin, I had fun trying this out. I can imagine this as a bigger project! Well done!
When I saw the screenshot, I thought we made exactly the same game. Then I realized yours is about something else.
I am not able to try it at the moment, but I surely will.
I would appreciate it if you looked at mine :)

The game was a little too complex for me. It is fun watching the drones carry blocks around nonetheless. I read the instructions carefully, but still the experimentation and mixing parts were completely random to me, so I just played around a little using a trial and error approach. I guess there is a way to get that virus, but I didn't find it.
Very complex game.
Pretty complex to start, great job!
Really cool idea, but I couldn't really find out what genes I was aiming for. I'm assuming the test subject tab works like Mastermind (board game) where you submit your guess and see what you need to improve?
A lot of thought and ideas clearly went into this, which I like, but all together it's a bit disconnected to really get into. The three-page intro definitely made it a bit difficult to jump into, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn't that bad.
Mouse cursor not working for me on webgl version here!
Too complex for my late evening!! :D
I was a little overwhelmed by all of the text and had a hard time figuring out what to do. Genetic manipulation of viruses is a nice idea though.
Highly unintuitive and text-heavy, seems like it has an interesting concept though. Might give the post-jam version a shot to see what it's like with a bit better execution. Web version crashed upon trying to administer virus.
The idea is very interesting, but I can't control the web build of the Game. Cool game overall!
I can't seem to play it. When I run it it freezes my computer for about 10min, and it's constantly changing from not respoding to respoding.
Nice graphics, nice presentation! Got lost for some time because it's a little bit complex but that's fine. :)
The interface in the web version gets cut, depending on the screen/browser width of the user. So I got even more lost when I played the web version. ;P
Very complex game, a bit hard for me to understand what's going on xp But still, it seems like a great idea! Maybe some more explanation or tutorial, but given the time I wouldn't expect that. I could see this becoming a big project!
I failed as an overseer. My Subject remained highly intelligent and logical, but while trying to dull his senses I accidentally created a super soldier serum. He ended up much stronger, faster and smarter after I was done. I apparently suck at this.
A bit confusing to understand what I was doing. Seemed like there was a lot going on story-wise that didn't help move the game along at all.
More complex than most ludum dare games. well done
Thanks for comments everyone.
If the HTML5 webplayer is giving you any problems, try the desktop builds. I've updated them to version 0.32.
I couldn't figure out how to play!
