Ey, nice pixel art, I'm a great fan of Kaijus too ^^. I always have wanted to do a make-your-robot-game. The gameplay is so original, cheers.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → KAIJU TYCOON

Ey, nice pixel art, I'm a great fan of Kaijus too ^^. I always have wanted to do a make-your-robot-game. The gameplay is so original, cheers.
It´s fun to destroy big cities. Attacking Australia is so gratuitously cruel :DDDD
graphics are great!
I really liked playing this game. The pixel art is awesome and the game was funny too.
I think the tutorial lacks some aspects of the gameplay though, like the meaning of the K and C counters, and how do I get more points to upgrade the Kaiju.
The graphics are very good, and the gameplay is really unique!
@MechanicMoon Thanks buddy!
@jordinuco Thanks, we have tried to represent all the world. We could to add more cities buy you know only 72 hours :D
@lukepilgrim: Thanks! :D
@Kakureta: Oh we're happy to make it a fun experience!
@OberynMartell: Ups! hehe "K" are kaijus that you have and C are not destroyed cities. Thanks for your words!
Liked the style, especially details like the cat. But didn't saw anything but my Kaiju on the world map up until getting the certificate, so switching back to the previous screen and waiting for it to reach a city was not very exciting. Maybe a bug or I didn't understand it?
The little doll things everywhere were pretty hilarious. I didn't fully understand the gameplay though, it seems to stall out after a while since your monster doesnt get stronger.
nice idea but the game is too siple
DAMN YOU ARE A GENIUS!
I LIKE ALL! WELL DONE!
p.s. I love the 1039410 easter eggs <3
The gameplay and general idea is unique, the music's ok, maybe it gets a little annoying after a while, the art of the desk is really awesome. Gameplay-wise maybe only I didn't get it but all I did was clicking on the lever, then a city, lever, city, lever, city... I never got more points to level up the kaiju, never had any clue about which parts I should use for which city (if it helps at all). After the second try I had enough, but I've never been a kaiju fan.
Could become interesting. Quickly boring. Too slow, and not enough interactivity or evolution.
@10UpCrew: It's not a bug, it's lack of time. We could implement skills, evolution, etc... but we've only had time to core mechanics :(. Thanks for your comment!
@Lane, @Rothens, @glerikud and @foxboard: You have reason. Probably, we scope bad. Thanks for your feedback!
@Nikteddy92: Oh you! Thanks :D:D:D
I like the humor and art style :)
Great art and really like the theme. Simple gameplay. Good entry!
I kept sending kaijus with different combinations I could make with 3 points and destroyed cities. I don't really know if there was more to the game than this but I couldn't manage to find if there was. It also lacks feedback, I feel like it's pure luck which side wins.
I love the cat and that I can tap her head!!! Great work on this game!
Great art out there! I almost laughed to death while assembling the monster. Think you can make more choices?
The art in the menus is great, music is great although I realize it wasn't your work.
I love the artwork. Especially the LD33 nod on the notes :). Also Cthulhu bobble head is a nice touch.
Pretty interesting idea which might be worth exploring further. Good job!
@antonfagerberg @robotMeal @ruerob @Resonius @bitdecaygames Thanks guys :D:D:D:D:D
@commodoreKid Thanks for your comment.
@Hegback Yep! Our graphic artist think on that :D
@Resonius Yep, we don't have musician in our team. That's why you can't vote us in music category. Thanks for your feedback
@Bitdecaygames We love this details ^^. Thanks!
@Maramasa Yep! We have a long to-do list. Thanks for your comment :D
Love the retro art and style of the game! I don't know if I quite understood the strategy, but for the time constraints it looks great and is a great playable prototype that can really be built into an awesome game!
Sending Kaijus to do the dirty job is great. The little details on the screen are nice, like the cat and the mini-kaiju xD And the music is cool.
But it could be nice to have more ways to customize your kaiju, like leveling up and stuff.
Overall, the game passes.
Love the art. The music would be better without the pitch bending.
The newslatter is incredible, I wish it would go slower so that I can read it all "sightings of "manbearpig" through North America" "what are you doing reading this? destroy the world!" "want blue meth? call Heisenberg" they are all hilarious. Also, a evil guy is not a evil guy if he doesn't pet his cat. Great Game!
beautiful graphics! Congratulations for this work!
@dacharya64 @Shackhal We want to expand game in the future. Thanks for feedback :D
@highlyinteractive Thanks. Unfortunately we haven't had a musician at this jam. So we used a free music. The pitch bending it's web fault :(
@bigbuggames @folex70 Thanks <3
Mixing and matching the kaiju's appearance is a lot of fun. I could see this being a pretty intricate game if you guys continue to work on it.
I love all the references you've put in the game! (supermeat boy, Cthulhu, Inspector Gadget, etc). Really nice graphics too!
Really like the pixel graphics. A very different style of game play from everything else I've played thus far from this LDJAM. It would be cool to see this developed further and see the game more player active, than passive. I do like the idea of creating your own Kaijus like a mad kaijus scientist. Neat game!
This game has awesome art and a lot of fitting references as well (Cthulhu, plaing as the villain with the cat on his lap...)
The graphics were tight, I enjoyed building my own monster, very pretty!
@HappyHour @BoyWithStick That's the idea! Thanks mates!
@Crucknuk Thanks!
@Vladirien We had more ideas, but 72 hours are so restrictive. Thanks for comment!
@Grahhhhh (I hope don't forget any H ^^') We're happy that you enjoyed :D Thanks!
The music is kind of annoying and I felt there was not enough gameplay. It was also confusing for me, I didn't really know what to do besides pulling the level and clicking on cities.
It doesn't really feel like my choices were making a difference... There's zero feedback when you "attack a city", you don't know if your high attack is hitting harder or if your high defence is making you last longer or whatever.
Just getting to the point of attacking was pretty difficult and weren't intuitive. The "flow" of moving from control to control seemed illogical and inconsistent.
Customising the kaiju was a nice touch but would have been nice if it meant anything at all - if they integrated with the stats system that'd be nice.
The scrolling text is cute and a nice touch, but again, does nothing with the game.
Feels like overall a game made with love, with lots of detail, but very little thought in the actual game feedback loop.
I didn't realize until late in the game that I could send multiple kaijus. I also was a little unclear on the loss conditions. Is there a limited number of kaijus that I get?
Graphics were great. Music was good. The little details were neat. Gameplay was a little stale, mostly because I just felt like I was guessing what each city needed to defeat it.
Great graphics and cool idea! Great details around the edges :) A bit slow on the movement.
Good game, had fun playing it. You should definitely expand on this. :)
@chuckeles You're rigth about gameplay. We could only introduce the core mechanic. Thanks for feedback.
@Tuism During brainstorming we think all this features but in 72 hours we can't implement it, if we could expand this game, we include all of them. Thanks for the comment.
@Minibobbo You only could have one kaiju per city. Thanks!
@jsmars @Sparrow Thanks for playing our game!
Basically, all has been said above already. Have to join Tuism on that one: you should have concentrated first on gameplay, then polish. Otherwise all that comes out is more like an interactive greeting card. Hope that didn't sound mean. Your team definitely has potential, I can tell by all the beautiful visual details.
I love that you can pet your cat! That is so awesome! Makes me feel like a Bond villain. I chose to believe that her name is monster. Now who's a good monster? Yes you are! That's you! (^˃ᆺ˂^)
The visuals are really great and reminded of the strategic view of games like the old Syndicate, really a shame that a more involved gameplay could not have been implemented in the short timeframe allowed by LD.
Not sure, but I think I miss something. May be explosions, see the monster in the city destroying things, or something. I find it too easy.
Anyway, nice graphics and nice idea. Using imagination player can fill what it miss (i.e. what I said in the previous paragraph ;) )
Nice graphics and lots of details, like touching the cat.
The mechanic is a little bit confusing. Destroyed 3 towns but didn't earn skill points.
@ReddogStone Ye, we keep on it! Thanks for feedback.
@inbetweengames hahahaha oh you! We love cat's name :D Definitely it would be monster! Thanks for the comment.
@Jacktheviper Yep :( Thanks!
@piopio We would implement a small screen where you saw the kaiju destroying a city... but as you said short timeframe. Thanks for play!
@Sergi Montaner: the skill points are fixed, we think about it and we want to implement that you earn 1 point every 2 destroyed cities.
Nice pixel art! The tutorial really helped me understand what I was supposed to be doing.
I lived the art, and the cat is so cute!
The game gets boring and I don't thing I can lose. But great work with this.
Absolutely brilliant concept plus I loved all those subtle easter eggs you've added in (Also how did you get your Unity WebGL game to load so fast?).
The speed of the sound keeps changing.. don't know if it's intended.
The game play is innovative.I like the art too.
Petting the cat while destroying cities is probably the best thing ever :D. Full of love and tiny details (nice to see Japan as the toughest city!). I'd love to see this expanded, with more strategy and management points. It's almost there, actually. Good job guys!
@Jishenaz Thanks mate!
@Galvemash Thanks for the feedback
@Xanjos The game is hosted on our own server. Thanks for the comment!
@bombjack The sound it's web fault :(. Thanks!
@danialias We keep on it! Tanks buddy
Nice game
The pixel art is utterly gorgeous! Great job :)
