Nice aesthetic! I thought the controls were pretty good, too. I was confused by the white boxes on the ground, I thought they were health packs I could pick up, but never seemed to work.
At one point the music stopped playing, and that sort of hurt the experience for me. One thing I definitely gotta say though, the reload felt oddly satisfying, and one key mechanic that kept me playing as long as I did.
Not bad. An interesting twist on a classic premise, I liked it. I noticed a peculiar thing: if you right-click several times in a row, it's going to auto-reload the first few bullets you shoot.
Nice stuff. Had a bit of trouble with the controlls. I really like the sawblade!

There are some really great ideas and mechanics in there, and the sense of progression with different enemy types is pretty rad.
Unfortunately the ideas are let down by the execution. The basic movement, shooting and combat is unsatisfying, there's very little in the way of juice and feedback to make hitting the enemy feel good. The enemy movements are also bare and doesn't feel good.
Controls wise the clicking to shoot is problematic - In this case, being able to hold down the button to shoot at the maximum interval speed would have been much better. Also the reloading doesn't make sense - the best way to play would be to just click both mouse buttons continuously. Reloading should be its own interesting choice.
The way the corpses are dealt with means it's basically a game of entropy - you WILL lose ground to irritating corpses, and the rate at which it happens is too slow for meaningful challenge to set in - the escalation is too slow and that makes the experience a bit boring. You want to speed the challenge up so that it feels exciting, so the player can lose and come back to play again, rather than feeling like you're just waiting for the next thing.
Also feel like there's not much choice/challenge in the corpse piling up - if there were ways to make them sit on each other or something, one could conceivably harness the skill of piling corpses on top of one another to avoid having the field saturated so quickly. This would require tweaks to the rest of the game - player movement speed, enemy movement speed, etc, too, of course.
Had fun with this, I agree with others that the execution could be improved. The only health pack I saw spawned out in the wall area where I couldn't get it. I liked the reload, but I think @tuism said it all best. My takeaway was that it could use more juice as well to make every choice and action into a more entertaining toy to play with.

The monsters move a bit too slow I think. It takes long till it becomes hard. But the concept is nice and the graphics are pretty!
The reload really needs to prevent you from shooting. I never dropped below full ammo because you can just spam both buttons.
Cool game, really nice art. It was a little glitchy for me though (especially the Web version). Good job!
Nice game :).. was fun playing. The online highscore was a good idea.. this really motivates :). Thinking about adding some feature like this in my next project too.
The concept was really fun, I felt like I was doing good right until the end, where I trapped myself. I did find a bug myself, I got knocked back out of the playfield and could not get back in. Other than that, it makes for a really fun concept. If the bugs were cleaned up, it could make a really fun little timewaster, trying to kill the enemies in the best way to ensure your survival!
Our projects are very similar. I really like the saw blade running around scene!

Really fun to play. Loved the idea of enemies being annoying even when they're dead. A little glitchy with heals and contact with enemies. Great job overall!

Hello! Pretty fun game, just a bit slow. It's a shame that the cool menu theme isn't in the game! Anyway, cool game dude

It's pretty good ! It definitely fits in the theme and becomes challenging once you have saws flying over the map and your escape way is blocked by fire. Good job!

I love me some top-down shoot-em-up, I actually made one of these a couple of LD's back so I know what goes into them. At first I had a good time, but then the controls started to get stuck, and the shooting and reloading didn't really work as well, so it was a bit hard to get into the grove. I also think a game like this could have worked with a smaller arena space. Makes the action come a bit faster and you really need to be tactical on where you take down your enemies. You got the theme down solid, and I like the fact that different enemies leaves different kinds of hell's for you as they are taken down! Good go! Cheerz!

Fun game, looks really good. I had a bit of trouble with the controls but still enjoyable
The idea behind this is pretty good and the scope and amount of content of the game is really impressive too for a LD Jam game. However, I felt the controls to be a bit sluggish and made the experience a bit slow. Would love to see an improved version of those, I think the game experience wuold benefit enormously!

Got bored at 69 points cause I felt there was no challenge. Also, it felt slowish in Firefox, but then it could be the game in general - haven't tested in Chromium. It was a bit interesting though.
Cool game. I got 41 kills. I like the variety of enemies. It might be more fun if there were more of the easy enemies but they took less hits.

Nice arena! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qheLSmToOo
