I spent quite a bit time playing this! It reminds me of Reigns. Is there a win condition though? I end up dying no matter what I do.

@kakarotsan Life in the game, like any other ends in death, the main thing is that we will have time to acquire during this time. We have many ideas for developing the game, but unfortunately we did not have time to add them during jam
Good game, well polished.
very fun but extremely difficult :o
@gregoire This is the Middle Ages, life there was not easy)
A cute classical card game. Sounds and music well adds to dark ages atmosphere. Nice
I liked it! I died a lot of times though. Life is hard in Middle Ages indeed!
Very Well done game, nice atmosphere. Could become a cool mobile game.
Awesome graphics, an interesting idea, a lot of humor. The best game of St. Petersburg Ludum)
I love aesthetics that you achieve with this and it's really polished. A little bit tough but it's ok :D. Good job!
@cepblvl Thank you very much! Very nice to see your comment. After Ludum, the game will not be abandoned and we will do it better)
The perfect game for jam, and similar games I would play without all the context!
Really nice graphic sound and humour. Interesting Entry.
Like the humour and the music. Cool graphics too!
Excellent game! Excellent graphics and texts and "binary" gameplay! If I have any feedback to give is to tone down the effect (instant kill) of choices. Still a fast, well writen game with stylish graphics! Great work!
Very "reigns", but with all sudden deaths. Maybe a "save" mechanic could be fun? On the other hand I guess there's no end, except for death? Cute use of the theme!
Awesome little game, nicely polished, loved the art style and music!
@wolfrug Thanks! We thought about "save" mechanics. There were thoughts to add various items that will save in some situations, but we did not have enough time to add them.
Very much like Reigns yes, but a lovely art style! I could not go above year 20, have to play more :) A simple but solid game!
awesome game =)
@pestodesign Thank you) We ourselves really like the idea of the game, and we want to refine it to the full version.
Really neat idea. I love the hand painted art and cohesive graphic style. It seems very well polished for a jam game. Great job!
This game is really good haha, I love the graphics ! would recommend :ok_hand: Seriously, I really loved this game, well done !
Really nice concept, graphic and music :) Fit the theme perfectly ! I had problem with the restart skull button right top corner, didn't understand what it was until i cliked...
Nice game, well played guys :D
This was super dope! The art style and music fit very well. I think you did a really nice job capturing the central theme of your piece
Great! can spend hours on it to see all paths of life! Did you think on switching of what is considered as 'good' choice? It is, I'm repeting same path and it gives me same resultes.
That was fun! The art was excellent and music was spot on! Also had some hilarious dialogue.
@kate90 Yes, we thought about it. But we did not manage to implement all our ideas. We want to refine this game to the full version and then a lot of interesting things will appear in it ;)
I like this medival life simulator, it's a Dark Souls of such kind of games, you always die!
@artyom-volkov Thanks for the game and your feedback!) Do you think such a high complexity of our game is a good element or is it worth simplifying?)
@daniiln I don't think that it need simplification.
@xakkar when you said you guys also made a card game i came rushing in =D, thanks for the feedback and amazing entry yourself! i found it realy fun. Its abit anoying everytime you die you gotta make your way back but the fast animations make it a breeze. There were some realy funny moments in the game but this one takes the crown for me!

Overall realy good entry =D
Brilliantly written, drawings and music spot on. it was quite fun to play I survived till age 13. One of the best games I've played in the jam good job
Really love sense of humor in this game. Choices are made!
@finnthepirate @keseril Thank you so much! No wonder we tried))
Game is funny and humorous.!! Sound is really good.
graphics are fair!
and game is really good 'n' hard*_*
Interesting game, but soon you realize how you have to play :D . Anyway good job!
Funny game :) It must have been long to write all the lines and make them form a cool story :) (I died in Jerusalem :p)
Awesome game. Maybe a bit too real sometimes with regards on how easy it's to die, it's a game after all ;)
Really hard and funny game! Love it
Doesn't matter how often i die I WILL reclaim Jerusalem.
Incredible job. Wonderful artwork, great music, awesome amount of depth, funny humour, really impressive.
restarted so many times :D I really liked the graphics. A lot of story work you did! Well done
interesting
that was a fun and interesting experience thank you^^
Love the graphics and audio! I restarted multiple times to see if there was an ending, but it seems like there isn't? I got stuck at the bridge on the King path, and Antioch/Jerusalem on the Church path.
Well, I have yet to survive my childhood, but I had a great time. I love the music and graphics and story. Very fun.
i just didnt want to drink one more time... :(
@naddir Very long and very difficult, especially when you do this for three days in a row) I did it, but I tried to get the most out of myself so that you could try more interesting stories, I'm glad everyone likes it)
@sauerkraut I think after Ludum I will take care that you can take Jerusalem ;)
@tommyflower In fact, most jokes have real historical implications. It was very interesting in the process of reading about the Middle Ages in order to create events that could happen in reality. Although I do not hide that some jokes are just my fiction)
@jusw85 In any case, any life ends in death, and since we only had 3 days to develop the game, death in it comes too soon) However, after Ludum we will try to make life in this game longer and richer, so if you are interested in our game, follow it, we will be very pleased)
@fernando-labarta My friend said the same thing))) After Ludum I’ll try to make sure that you don’t have to drink if you don’t want to))
In any case, thank you all for playing our game, your ratings and comments are important and pleasant to us. We love all of you and love our game, so we will continue to make our game better!)))
It would be cool to see all the different reincarnations I've attempted!
Really funny take on the theme, it gives me vibes from the Choose Your Own Adventure books, which I loved.
Music and graphics fit like gloves and everything in general feels really solid. Congrats!
Nice job! Not my style of game, but it's made well!
Funny! I died so many times!
I think it's the only game in the entire Ludum Dare that has localisation, props for that :). Also very polished and coherent style. Well done.
Really cool game. Played quite a few times. Never really became an adult. 10/10 would die as a child again.
@aradied we wanted to do this, but we had to sacrifice this mechanics in order to make everything look good. anyway we will do it after ludum))
@tomeks perhaps we lack localization in several dozen languages to make the game convenient for all XDs but I think you're right, thanks for your feedback)
Very cool game, nice graphism and i love the music i couldn't grow as an adult either but i guess it's not so bad for a middle age kid to get so far :^)
This was so fun! :D Reminds me of Reigns, but your version has some original mechanics to it. Nicely done, and I love the humor! (I was attacked by a horse, and the mad animal ate my whole crop).
Nice sound and humor
Very cool game, I enjoyed the graphics and story telling aspects.
overall I like the game. the concept of the game is really interesting, it's more like a choose your own adventure presented in cards. The gameplay is really simple to understand making it really easy for any player to pick it up. I think that the theme is well represented in this name because the player really starts with nothing. The art style is grand, It creates this middle ages environment that I love. It is interesting how you use a type of art style very inspired by the artwork of the middle ages. For me it is great, I really like it. Other think I found the animation you made with the flip card incredibly fluid, how the hell you make that with unity loool? This because as you know I also have a card game for this jam and I have to say that your animation for the flipping is much better them our one. Really good game I liked it a lot.
This was really interesting! I typically love games like this, like Reign, for instance. I think you did a great job setting up the mood of the game. Both the graphics and the audio are really good (especially a fan of the artwork on some of the cards). I wish there were more events, or some kind of random variation, so it was less of a deterministic path. Still, I played it through multiple times to keep seeing how far I could get and to go back and choose an option that didn't cause me to lose. Some of the choices seemed a bit odd - I'm not sure how some of them would have caused my character to die, and it didn't always feel like I had much agency over what I was choosing. Overall though, I really liked this. I liked the stories you could get by going through different paths, and I think this would be an awesome game if you kept adding more cards and some more variation to it.
Nice graphics and interactive style. I played this game several times and finally found this game not an interactive story but a surviving game. I know little about mid ages but I believe the threats are real in those dark years though they are expressed in a humorous tone.
Very beautiful and atmospheric game. When playing, many of the defeat explanations didn't seem to make logical sense.
My suggestion is to always - and especially with text-heavy games - use spellchecking software.
Super fun game! I kept restarting to explore different branches. Loved the humor. Only feedback is that some of the options felt like lose/lose, but I appreciate that you made the first few "levels" proceed, no matter what you picked. I struggled with this in my game as well (you can die in the first two minutes)
As others have said, reminiscent of 'choose your own path adventures', particularly with the sudden unpredictable deaths. But that's the fun of it! Fun game.
Great artwork and music, cool interactive storytelling mechanics as well. If you ever need some original music let me know!
Church Lootboxes :D I really like this game. So many paths, so many different lives. Really cool artstyle. Incredibly polished for a LD game. Not much to criticize really. I like how it captures the darkness of the middle ages while still staying humorous. Good job
Good job :) I spend more time for this game then for others :)
Wow, the story is so non-linear! I tried to play all the combinations and enjoyed it. Great humor, awesome submission! И клево, что есть русская локализация! :)
Great art. Really. Also i love your humour.
Nice game :) Musik fits, the artwork also, and i found many different ways to die.
Great art, awesome bgm and sfx. I think I managed to reach all possible endings, not sure I might have missed something. Somehow I didn't manage go live longer than 20 year. Fun game overall, good job!
Tough like real life ! Art is really nice, music is perfect, I loved the humour. Excellent job here guys ! Bravo, I'm going back to it again
I wanted to complain about all the dying but like all the others, let's be real: life was hard in the middle ages haha. Great art, audio/music, much death, much middle, much ages.
I very like the art and humor in this game. Great game and good job! :)
Nice art + humour + fun = this game. I love it to bits :)
I really enjoyed this entry. The humour, graphics, and audio were on point. I enjoyed how some "easy" choices led to unexpected consequences. Great job. :)
A really fun game to play. The art was super gorgeous and I liked the humor in the story. It was fun to make choices along the way and see where it took you. It did feel a bit random though (first time playing - then you knew the choices), I still don't understand why I died because I polished a sword...
Music was great too, and I think this could be developed into something really cool. Maybe with a bit of randomness to it, so that you can't just know what choices to make. Great entry.
We have completed this game and released it on Steam!
