CHEATS!!

Launch the game with the following options to enable some cheats:

* `--cheat_invisible 1`: enemies can't see you * `--cheat_infiniteInventory 1`: no limit to how many items you can hold * `--cheat_showGoals 1`: draw arrows on the video tapes you need

If you're on Windows, open powershell or cmd.exe, and launch the game like:

``` CD path\to\game\folder .\LD59.GameLauncher.exe --cheat_invisible 1 --cheat_infiniteInventory 1 --cheat_showGoals 1 ```
Also, you can disable fullscreen with `--r_fullscreen 0`
This was a lot of fun! I played on gamepad and thoroughly enjoyed the movement jank XD felt like a fun little spin on the video store sims that have been coming out lately. The movie names were also funny, and I thought the telekinesis mechanic was cool! Well done! c:
Very funny game! It was a brave idea to use motion capture and i think you nailed it for the jam. Great work!
I read the script and looked at the screenshots of the game, and it really is a great idea. I was sad that I couldn't play it :( When I started the game, the screen froze on the image of the alien in the T-pose. I saw that you mentioned this might happen, but I waited 10 minutes and it didn't work. Anyway, I liked the idea.
If you could rate my game, I’d appreciate it
@valb-soares thanks for trying, but sorry about the freeze. If you're willing to try again, it can be fixed with the launch option:
--mm_multiThreadedInitialization 0
same as the cheat codes I described above.
Ho ho ho, Santa Claus has arrived! Screenshot_1.png
@ale Ah, I added that line of code you mentioned and the game opened.
Now, about the gameplay: at the beginning, everything goes well. I walk around the room, pick up the presents, use telekinesis to throw them, but at that moment the camera shakes constantly, making the game impossible... So I thought it might be the part where I throw the presents, so I decided not to throw them. Then, hiding, I slowly passed the first enemy and went to the cassette tapes. When I picked up the right tape and tried to throw it into the capsule, the camera bug happened again :(
I think that was the only problem, but overall, the game works and the idea is good. Congratulations!
Dropping a long over due comment here. Really appreciate you giving me the opportunity to play this game [on stream.](https://www.youtube.com/live/KSYoPmFIwTA?si=x6j8qWePVv87ZKD6&t=3514)
My thoughts are shared in the VOD. Hope we see you back for LD60. ✌
The alien runs very funny, but I still don’t understand where they are supposed to run to.
Funny ahh game.:alien:
Sound effects were spot on. The camera was a bit wonky though.
Definitely have not played anything similar to this before, which is good! Or maybe the object throwing reminded me a bit of Control’s gameplay. Quite difficult, especially with couple of bugs I encountered. While impressive maybe the controls for throwing could be simplified? Would suit the quick pace better. Use of motion capture is very cool and I can believe that the process of making the animations must have been interesting :)
vicebrother 2026-05-07 23:41
i like the use of the blender monkey!
tsaot 2026-05-08 01:49
The concept is solid. I had a hard time controlling this one though. I tired having extras on me to throw at the farmers, but trying to grab one to throw while juking around was a downright pain.
Didn't expect mocap tech to be used in a jam, very cool! Loved the whacky vibe of the game (and the interesting movie titles).
The controls felt somewhat unresponsive, its close though, I liked the life-like alien motions! I imagine that takes a lot of time tinkering with captures to get it to feel right.
Curious to see a mocapped alien parkour game next time, haha.
