Good job, I enjoyed the game!
Very original subject and challenging too ! Some point though : the reactivity of keys is not very fluid, so it's a kind of frustrating to miss an ingredient because of that. The customers are great ;) good job !
@mgadrat thanks very much, sorry for having a bad experience with the controls, knew I shouldn't have pushed a last minute bug fix to the input manager, and publish. Fixed now if you'd like to give it another go.
@maoap thanks for trying the game, i suggest you give it another go with the major bug fix mgadrat informed us about :) surely the game is MUCH more enjoyable and what we had wanted the players to feel.
Pretty cool game, I'm quite suprised by the choice of assets, I find that the room and people does not play well together even if they are some great assets.
The game plays well, the gameplay is pretty robust. I would have loved to get a kind of rating based on the average waiting time of my customers so I can really feel like I'm progressing upon restarting.
Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game, it's pretty well polished !
ps: Very good idea to ask for the controls in the intro !
I really liked Paper Mario looking art style. It got chaotic a little too fast for me though.

Good job making me confused about the random keys at the beginning, it was a pleasant surprise hahaha! It's a good entry for a classic genre, I loved the art and the general ambiance! The inputs could be a little more tight and there could be some sort of sound for when the customers are getting tired, that would increase the player's sense of urgency. Overall, very good!
I found the controls not all that responsive trying to make the meals, I think another programmer could have maybe polished/expanded upon the controls and UIs etc, but I guess you're working on fixing that now? Or is it fixed already? When will the new build be playable?
It's clear that it's a work of love that you all had fun making this together, which counts the most! It has such a cool and arcadey vibe to it. Doing the room in a similar colorful cartoony style would have made it better too, in my opinion. Hyped to see your work in the next jam!
@willowblade thanks for the comment, yep the input bug was quickly fixed in the link above.
@oddlyfunctional that was my intention with forcing the players to choose their own input scheme at the start for the cooking mini-game. There should be a sfx that plays when a customer changes their state, maybe its not obvious enough thanks for giving us your input, we all appreciate feedback :)

This is pretty good - hard but fun. there is no game over screen it seems, just a point at which I got stuck I couldn't move anymore out of the kitchen but all the sounds and waiting bars of the customers continued going down. That's a shame but if you had no time to implement the "game over" I understand ^^#
I find moving the character is frustrating. Because he's slow. And there are so many obstacles in the way. And you're in a hurry! So I get this is the point but still I find it a bit more frustrating than it should be.
Anyhow, nice fute funny quite well-polished little game, good job you guys :)
I liked playing this game! The art was fitting to the style, and the music was cheery enough to fit with the game.
A few suggestions: * Sometimes I would press the correct button and it wouldn't register. It sounds like other people had the problem, so I don't think that's on my end. * The dining room felt cluttered and I was constantly running into things when I was trying to get places. Maybe shrink some hitboxes? * It was really hard to get to some tables on time, notably those on the left. I would have really liked a space on the left side of the counter to be open.
In spite of all that, I did have a lot of fun with this. Great job!
@strangeryann Thanks for the feedback, there should be a game-over screen once all the seats are taken, but it seems like I have a bug with the controls on some pc's I'll see if I can check whats wrong over the weekend maybe release a post-jam version. @gremtacular Thats a great fix for our clutter issue opening another path on the left side. Will let the designer know and will get a post jam version up at some point, I might have found the issue with the key inputs being a firefox-related issue.
Dammit, Unity WebGL player still doesn't want to be my friend! :angry: Why did you choose not to build a game for PC platforms? The concept looks interesting, but I cannot enjoy playing the game. :worried:

Nice entry! the game felt very polished. I remember playing these type of games as a child :D I have nothing really to complain: smooth movement, execution was great, sounds were excellent. Good job!
It's a really nice idea. Maybe because it is similar to my game in some way. :) Well made and playable. The only thing I did not like is the conrols, when moving. But on the other side: maybe that's the challenge.
@yngvarr sorry it took me a while, but I've built a windows version for you, you can find it under the "notes" section. I don't like building for pc/mac/linux for jams due to the games are generally made with a 960x600 resolution in mind and generally, will look like shit when scaled up :p

I really like the character design in your game, especially protagonist's appearance. Cool idea to make them 2D just like in good old Doom. Game mechanics is also quite good, looks simple, but challenging in fact. I found movement a bit uncomfortable because character does not stop immediately when a key is released, but still it's so much fun!
@yngvarr thanks :) yeah that little slide effect is so annoying xD but couldnt get myself to rewrite movement controls haha
When it said "Enter key for interaction" at the beginning I thought it was a tutorial - the "enter" key was used for interaction. So I pressed the enter key a few times and nothing happened.
Got over the confusion soon after, though, and the game was pretty fun.
I'm not really good in speed crafting games, and this one is pretty hard (especially when stucking on the tables/chairs) but it was fun to try (I'm affraid I can't go further than a "2", but with all my tries I only mistake one ingredient, das it count ?)
@wibblymat yeah in retrospec i should've made it more obvious that it should be a "alphanumerical" key but will try to improve it in any future jams I make with the same input gimmick.
@lereveur Thanks! yeah it's pretty hard and most people get a score of 2. To get a score of 3 you must not miss a single client which is close to impossible. But yeah, totally I have to learn to make the scoring more transparent to the players. Thanks for your feedback :D

Nice game!
It was extremely challenging and I saw a ton of upset customers but I loved it! I especially love all of the cool looking customers and their expressions. My biggest complaint is that the "tutorial" is here on this page instead of actually in the game. Great work overall!

@schu Ohh yeah how I wish we had time to make the tutorial in game, unfortunately this jam me and the designer were both limited in the time we had to create the jam (around 2 days) but we felt like a tutorial how bare bone was still required to understand what to do. Thanks for the feedback though, I'll let danny know he did an awesome job with the customers :D

What I liked the most in your game was the mood and the strange mood supported by the music and the environment. Stickers work well too! I had some difficulty with the controls, but perhaps that's intentionnal, anyway that support the mood too ! ^^
