Interesting idea ^^ Took a little bit of time to figure out the gameplay but when I started to got a hang of it, I felt like I started to think like the fridge/ be one with the fridge. Well done, for being your first compo!
p.s For anybody giving this game a try, you can cool down multiple foods at the same time if they are close enough to each other :P
I like the clean, stylized look.
I couldn't get a better rank than 'D Fridge' tough after 4 tries (maybe because I'm still tired?), so I didn't get to see what 'Power Tripping' is :smile:
Man I was not expecting it to be so difficult! What a neat way of applying the theme. I especially loved the art style and the little audio effects. As an improvement I would suggest having the game react someway when you click on a part of the fridge, perhaps a sound or a particle effect.
I really got into this. Never thought that fridges had it so hard.

Nice idea, very unique. I love the little touches like the Remaining Power text being used as an indicator and the funny comments when you lose.

I like it! I did find it a little tough but it was fun!
Hard at first to find the proper way to play, but fun after you figure it out. Good job!

I got rank amazing! I think the game can be hard even if you don't have the power limitation - it's just so hard to click that fast. Nice and clean graphics and pleasant music. Good job!
It's very hard to be fridge in fact ^^ the bonus system works well :thumbsup:
I feel like food rots too quickly. Some of them start with near nothing and they fall before I even notice them.
"A life of a fridge" :) I would suggest that cooling would be done by holding the mouse button and not the clicking, it would feel nicer to me.
I've pretty much killed 10-20 fridges before i got into it :D
Was pretty fun. I tried like 5-6 times before I gave up. It just wasn't clear exactly why I was dying?
This game is different and neat.
Graphics and audio are charming. They give the game a fun personality, that's for sure. XD
I was having a hard time enjoying the gameplay itself at first but... it kind of grows on you if you give it a chance.
If you are planning to develop this further, I wonder if having some kind of tutorial, or level progression might help?

Interesting concept, surprisingly hard game! After a few retries I couldn't get any result other than D Refrigerator and Melted, but I still really liked it.

The ranks go as high as A+ :) but there are a lot of equivalent ranks to A+ [Chill Fridge, Fridgidair, Great Chiller, Max Chill, Epic Chill Master, Chill Blaster] for those interested :P
@madalaski - I definitely had that on my list, and I did have a check mark [somehow disappeared] but I had to scratch it in the final hours to make music instead! So cooled and spoiled effects just didn't make it :(
@dioinecail - I tried different methods of cooling actually. I tried swiping and clicking/holding but neither just seemed to give that urgency that I was looking for haha!
@samhunny - the food starting temperature and spoilage rate are all generated randomly :)
@balthatrix - You lose when you either run out of power, or spoil 10 foods.
@pixel-game-wizard - A tutorial was another thing I wanted to make but ran out of time for, and it's really not easy to explain the entire game in a few written lines haha. In the last few hours I had to stop myself because I knew I was out of time haha :P
All things considered, I ran out of time to get more in depth with the cooling mechanics and the power tripping, but I might[probably will] get bored and want to work on it again :)
Took me a litle while to figure out about the bateries (who puts them on the fridge anyways? LOL), anyways, creative game that is quite fun to min max everything making sure that the cooling is right, while the food doesn't spoil while having to reserve some energy, gj man.
Interesting concept. Really liked the sound design and art. While the gameplay caught my interest right away, it unfortunately didn't keep it for terribly long. I think you'd have a really good game on your hands if the difficulty ramping was a little slower. Overall, it's a good game and a fun idea. Good work!

The music and general mood was excellent. I never quite got the hang of the gameplay mechanics; more visual feedback would help a LOT. But great job on this game! You win!
Fun to play, the music was tad bit loud so i had to lower my sound but that is an easy fix. So much things to look after.

This is a very fun game, but sometimes the pictures of products overlap and it's hard to see.
That's "an ice" game. It took a little while to figure out what to do, but it has a good mechanic. My wife also liked it. Very original.
It was okay. At the first it was very confusing how to manage the stuff in the game.

Took me a while to realize what the batteries were, and then I managed to get rank Frigidair! I'll assume that's awesome. Definitely frenetic, leaving me no time to chill. I like the style and puns =).

A+ , is that cool ? (Without any joke x) ) Nice game, cool concept, but I confess that I did not understand all the game first times I played x) But anyway, you made a good music, the art is not too bad, and I enjoyed playing it. Congrats :)
