LD26 — Minimalism

Pilot & Command by HeyChinaski 2013-04-29T21:48:00

Very nice use of the theme. Beautiful graphics.

Less by tomc 2013-05-03T22:41:00

I couldn't read the text fast enough, so I was a little lost on what I was supposed to do. Also, the game kind of wigged out when I would accidentally double click.

Free* by Kortuga 2013-04-29T21:22:00

Fantastic graphics. The only thing I would change would be adding some simple ambient noises or some music. I'm not sure how I feel about having Humor as part of the grading criteria. I think 'games' can be inclusive of other emotions, and your game is proof of that.

Blue by TheFudster 2013-05-04T03:05:00

That was pretty cool. I wish the read command was a different button than the shoot command. Signs kept getting in my way when enemies were after me. I thought it was very ambitious of you to include a story. I think you pulled it off. Good job!

Rainbow Rocket by Zccc 2013-05-17T22:58:00

Nice work! The art was fun. It reminded me of a Windows 8 commercial for some reason.

I DIED. by NateNaterson 2013-05-04T02:27:00

This has been my favorite entry so far. I enjoyed that a lot. Fantastic art and audio. Really hard, but I think that's a good thing.

MOMOM // £ï¿½ï¿½£ï¿½ï¿½£ï¿½ï¿½£ï¿½ª£ï¿½º£ï¿½  by slavasitnikov 2013-05-18T12:22:00

Nice. Five stars and two thumbs up for innovation. On a minor note, maybe use descriptive icons for the corner buttons instead of characters. That way people understand what they do faster, and you still maintain that sense of minimalism.

Bouncy Ball Extreme by Ray_Mickelino 2013-04-29T21:39:00

I liked the sound track. It needed some bouncing sound effects for the ball.

I'm Not a Paper Person! by Linus Lindberg 2013-04-28T23:10:00

Nice. I liked the puzzles. They had a good learning curve.

Other Space by GarethIW 2013-05-03T22:11:00

That was sweet. I really liked the graphics and character design. I feel like some music would have helped the theme though.

-- by vegard1992 2013-05-03T22:36:00

I really like the audio. It reminds me of a really awesome DOS game. The game is really hard and confusing. I couldn't figure out how to play. There was a certain point where I died every time because the thingy kept overtaking me.

Omega by shohs 2013-05-04T02:03:00

I couldn't figure out the grapple. Sometimes it wouldn't work at all and sometimes it would fling me across the level. I dig the sounds though. They give a very ominous vibe.

Mondrian's Frogger by doobdargent 2013-04-29T11:53:00

Nice interpretation of the theme. My brother was mad at me because my game had nothing to do with the art movement.

Cube Labyrinth by GreyBody 2013-05-18T12:32:00

The collision is a little finicky. It's hard to squeeze through gaps in the wall, and doors won't open unless you're perfectly aligned to them. Also, a way to move faster or to teleport back to start would be nice. Overall, good job. I love maze games.

Minima by Andy West 2013-05-18T12:36:00

Good job on the controls. It wouldn't have been as much fun without the drifting. The graphics were nice too.

This One by kidder 2013-05-18T12:55:00

Sweet. I love the artwork. The learning curve could use some work. I was immediately thrown into harms way, and I had to run around avoiding enemies until I figured out how to attack. Maybe give the player some time to figure things out before the enemies come.

Dwalk by Joritan Cety 2013-04-29T11:40:00

That was pretty cool. Very innovative. It reminded me of ZZT a little, one of my favorite games.

Minty Relaxation by TheChris 2013-05-04T03:12:00

That's awesome! I love this game. It gives you a good satisfying feeling every time you womp the floor. I think you should hint to the player that they should aim for the edges though. It took me a few plays before I realized how I was getting points.

Dissolution: The Lessening by SpitefulFox 2013-05-04T02:48:00

That was fun, but I couldn't get past the third wave of enemies. I kept on getting cornered off screen and mauled to death. I liked the eyeball sound effect. I made me smile :D

Cube It by alexanderm006 2013-05-04T02:57:00

I got stuck on level 10, but I really enjoyed it. Good job with the tutorial. With the level select screen you should be able to select a level without the mouse. Switching to mouse every time you die just adds an unnecessary step to retrying.

ZOMBLES! by NaoisTheGuardian 2013-05-18T12:46:00

I get what you were going for with the scene getting darker at night, but it makes it really hard to see (it may be my monitor.) I think you could get the same effect by shifting the color pallet from reds to blues, or you could start the player off with a lantern. Nice entry! Thanks for sharing!

please survive by palsina 2013-04-29T11:58:00

"You survived 30.1 seconds" :D That was my favorite. The graphics are fantastic. Good job.

The Paper Concord by zanzindorf 2013-04-29T12:20:00

Thanks for the feedback you guys. CMaster, the texture makes the object look more high-rez than they really are. Here's a picture of one untextured: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3xWIYE9dsVla1RLT001b2JocU0/edit?usp=sharing

Also, I can't get the webplayer to work. I know it should be really simple, but it just doesn't work.

The Paper Concord by zanzindorf 2013-04-29T13:06:00

CMaster, thanks, but I still can't get it to run out of a Dropbox public folder. I'm going to have to find somewhere else to host it. This worked in the past. It runs just fine locally, but will not run out of Dropbox.

The Paper Concord by zanzindorf 2013-04-29T16:21:00

There! there's a web port now. I think it was an issue with my security settings. Thanks for the suggestions. Sorry it's so hard. You guys are right, I really needed more easy levels.

The Paper Concord by zanzindorf 2013-05-17T23:02:00

Linus, that is strange... Thanks for pointing that out. I've been having a lot of issues with that. I never would have guessed how to fix that on my own.

Mini(malistic) Tank Battles by Toestee 2013-04-29T11:45:00

That was fun :D Flying tanks are fun to drive. The destructible terrain was a nice touch.

Tubulance by merteor 2013-05-03T22:16:00

This is one of those games I could lose a fortune of quarters on. Nice job!

Shaving Quest: The Razor's Edge by Milktoast 2013-04-29T21:58:00

I almost didn't play this game because the thumbnail reminds me of "Un Chien Andalou" (A very messed up movie by Salvador Dali), but I'm glad I did because even though it wasn't finished I thought what you did have was interesting and funny. I shaved the heck out of his nose :D Thanks for the submission.

Balls Balls Balls by matthias_zarzecki 2013-05-03T21:58:00

On a level with boosters, I got my ball moving so fast it went right through a wall, so I couldn't finish the level. Other than that, it was pretty fun. Thanks for sharing!

Robot Meditation by triplefox 2013-04-29T12:04:00

That was exactly what I needed after two days without sleep. I'm going to play this again right before I take my finals.

Inside Art by Danvil 2013-04-29T21:30:00

Nice. It feels like the enemies have too much health. With as simple as combat is, it would be nice to be able to one-shot enemies. Having to land several hits is a tad repetitive.

.Dot by sudojess 2013-05-04T02:42:00

Nice work! The graphics are wonderful. I beat the game before noticing the twist though. I wish the level design complemented the game-play mechanics a bit more.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Ten Second Sketch Racer by mollymus 2013-08-27T16:44:00

Great game. The level design was mind bending and very creative. Some of the levels had camera issues. Sometimes it was too hard to see upcoming obstacles until you've already crashed into them.

Wrath of the Hash Slinging Slasher by Vnator 2013-08-27T16:28:00

I'm getting the same error. A white box is taking up a quarter of the screen.

Wrath of the Hash Slinging Slasher by Vnator 2013-08-28T00:17:00

Thanks for fixing it. I replayed it, and I liked it a lot. Clever use of the theme which reminded me of the SCP Game. I freaked out a little on the Weeping Angel level. Good work.

Ten Second Teach Em Up by BumpkinRich 2013-08-27T16:33:00

Simple and fun! I liked the graphics, and the sounds fit the game quite well. You had to be spot on with your jump timing. It made it feel like Pitfall, which I think is what you were going for to make it more challenging and arcade-like. Thanks for posting.

A Love Story by Shmarah 2013-08-27T16:15:00

Great art and story. I feel like the dialogue needs to be broken up more with more interactive bits. Including more choices would keep people attention from drifting.

Con 10 Sedi by Capro 2013-08-27T16:50:00

I did it mom! I came in second! Nice game. I had fun.

Ten Seconds by Taffaz 2013-08-26T17:14:00

Nice work. I enjoyed it. I reminded me of the SimAnt game for PC.

Potato Lagoon by rezoner 2013-08-27T15:47:00

Fantastic work! I love the graphics and the soundtrack. The aiming is kind of awkward for a sidescoller. It would make more sense if you were defending something in the middle with enemies appearing on all sides. Lots of character and fun to play though.

Play Time's Over by Broxxar 2013-08-27T16:38:00

Sweet! I love the character design and graphics. The game reminded me of Tower of Heaven a bit with the rule system. I feel like the double jump is a bit OP though. You can clear quite a bit of the level by just double jumping a few times.

Dr. F. R. Eak's Abduction by Jon Fischer 2013-08-27T17:06:00

I loved the graphics. Sucking up cows caused me great happiness. It was a little weak on the theme though, apart from the off hand reference to it in the story.

Amaze 10+ by necmelt2006 2013-08-26T17:28:00

Sweet! I love this. The only thing that would have made it better was sound. I thought it had high replayability.

Unstable Ground by avh4 2013-08-27T15:40:00

I really liked your concept. It had a lot of character. I couldn't figure out level two, even after looking at you link. Maybe if there were more in-game hints, like support columns. I loved the music too.

Angry Guards by Diptoman 2013-08-27T16:25:00

I'm stuck in the first room. I'm pressing ctrl on everything but nothing seems to be interactive. I can't go through any of the doors, and I can't walk off the edges of the screen. I don't know what to do.

When The Sun Sets by Ravetcofx 2013-08-26T17:44:00

Do you have a direct download link? Media fire keeps crashing and won't let me download it. You're screen shot looks cool.

Marrow Wind by NikB 2013-08-27T16:02:00

Really solid gameplay and graphics. I thought it was a lot of fun. Sound would have helped with the mood a lot though. I liked the way combat worked. Nice job.

Chrono Defense by Cardanis 2013-08-26T17:22:00

The graphics were sweet. I died miserably on the first level. I'm not sure if I was missing rules or doing something wrong. I thought the unit selection screen was a cool way to represent purchasing points. Nice work!

Valdo by DvigubaiPiktas 2013-08-26T17:51:00

Sweet game. Reminds me of Ibb and Obb. It's missing the theme though, unless I missed something.

Timeline by Lancey 2013-08-27T15:51:00

Very creative idea. This would be perfect for a mobile device. I don't understand how I won the second level though. I started walking in mid air and exploded, but still somehow won :D

Super Zang IV by itidus21 2013-08-26T17:41:00

I agree with T1, the character design and graphics were fun. However, I couldn't really figure out how to play. I was kind of confusing. I like the character that looks like Strong Sad holding a stick.

Anti-Grav Drive by bnhw 2013-08-27T17:17:00

The graphics and sound made me happy. Very creative, fun, and simple. It's kind of lacking the theme though.

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-27T15:57:00

Nice work. It made me sad though :'C You get 5 mood stars of sadness.

Crappydoodle by superjoebob 2013-08-26T17:32:00

It was simple and really polished. Great work! I was really bad at identifying the drawings. I don't think I got a single one right :D Also, I feel sorry for the people who have to identify my drawings.

Team Seconds by AdricZero 2013-08-26T18:03:00

I liked your interpretation of the theme. It reminded me of Lemmings just a bit. The transitions on the opening were also pretty sweet. The only thing is that it got kind of repetitive rather quickly.
