Well, I played this game by myself despite your explicit instructions and uhh well it wasn't that fun...but I could see how it WOULD be fun with two people!
I managed to have fun playing alone. Left hand/brain won!
It's a bit unrealistic to expect people to play LD games as multiplayer games so it should have some kind of opponent AI (even a bad one). It looks a bit over-simplistic but it works, it might even be fun with an opponent.
Interesting! Was it a conscious choice to make it so that the player was constantly in motion, except for when firing?
Only tried it by myself, but it looks like a cool idea and I really like the background's color changing.
Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to play the game with, but nevertheless I could try imagine how it would be and I think it seems like fun. I miss some sound effects, though.
