Nice calm music :)

I found three parts... but there's no way I'm going through all the levels again! It would be nice to indicate which planets I found parts on already, and maybe even which ones I collected all the items (coal+parts) from.

Hard to give this game a rate : there's a lot of work done here but it's hard to understand what to do and when. Nice overall, but the sound effects are annoying, and graphics are poor.

Yeah, great ! I (Titou) laughed when I saw you finally really made something with flowers !

pirate-rob 2012-04-23 18:17

Lol I had to add someway to replant things since you can wipe out all plant life.

That is a rich game! Very impressing!

Nice entry! It feels like one of the games with more content in this LD. Nice mix of Mass Effect and Terraria, the game feels good and could definitely work if more developed! Really enjoyed the design.
On the bad side, I couldn't understand what I was supposed to do besides collecting coal and parts, and I couldn't know how many I had collected after a while, so I lost motivation after having lots of fuel and no way of knowing how close I was from finishing the game... Another interesting thing is the plant mechanic, although I only found out about that (or that Space was a command altogether) after reading some comments - I liked the idea and found it interesting, but have no idea how to use this in terms of gameplay. Also didn't realize how I can shrink planets or get back home, or why I have triple jump sometimes. In short - looks like a great game (seriously), but it needs some further explanation in the beginning! Maybe you could add some to the description? Cheers, and congratulations for the entry, it's really good!

This one held me for longer than most. I couldn't figure out how to go to more planets than the two on Alpha, though, and I only found one machine part. I felt like I was definitely missing something there. It took me a while to figure out I could double-jump, too. I liked the feel of the game - it was fun jumping around and collecting stuff - but I didn't get a good sense of the game. It was also pretty easy to die, which undid lots of work. Fun one, though - I liked it.

I felt a bit confused while playing this =(.
I liked the minimalist graphics and your commitment to create content to populate your game =). Unfortunately the menus don't have a synergy with the rest of the look&feel (that otherwise was pretty consistent and moody), but alas... GameMaker =).
Nice job =D

Surprisingly fun despite the wonky controls and lack of in-game instruction. I also had no idea about the plants until re-reading this entry text and still don't know what use they are. I missed one of the parts somewhere and was sufficiently stuck on many planets to give up. The structure of visiting planets from your ship is nice though.

a nice game and one of the first that i didn't mute 10 sec after starting to play :D
Really nice calm music 5/5 here for sure :)

good job

I really like this game, but I need to be more careful! :)

demonpants 2012-05-07 16:19

Hey, can you make a Mac version please? Thanks.

jeffalisk 2012-05-07 17:06

Some interesting stuff going on here and it was interesting to get the shrinker machine up and running. Personally I would have preferred the planet shrinker to be working from the start so you could shrink each planet after you beat its "normal" version, but still. Quite a lot of content here!

caranha 2012-05-07 18:16

Very interesting game, with quite some depth. I liked how you played with the music in the different game modes. The idea of messing with the worlds was really cool too.

The game could have used some sort of indicator to show how many parts you had already collected.

Cheers, and thanks for the game!

pirate-rob 2012-05-10 13:49

I'm surprised anyone managed to fix the shrinking system, Congrats! Also this was made in game maker so no mac version, sorry.

Very lengthy and mostly fun. There are a couple of small things I would change. First of all I would give the player information about something before they do that thing. After I went to another planet I got a message that going to planets costs 5 oil. I felt kind of cheated and would have liked to know that earlier. Also, when I opened one of the chests my coal fell into a bottomless pit, never to be seen again, that was kind of frustrating.
