Ha, this is great. It's a great sandbox, and I love the blood-effects :). It would be even more awesome if it had a few levels already prepared, so you could jump right in.

ratking 2012-04-23 02:10

Yeah, I wanted to do that, but somehow I lost my testlevel right before submission ... :( Thanks for playing!

true-valhalla 2012-04-23 09:48

Pretty impressive for the time frame. Nice visual style :D Good job overall.

redwater 2012-04-23 09:49

Pretty cool, the editor is very barebones yet, but nice sandbox you have there :D

lidfrid 2012-04-23 09:58

i think it's a good start, that definitely needs at least one level already prepared!!

taugeshtu 2012-04-23 10:00

I like it a lot! Lovely art, lovely sound and GODDAMNGOOD controls!

the8donut 2012-04-23 10:45

The editor is very simple yet quite fun to use. Definitely a great concept! Also, the game is quite polished, good job.

marudziik 2012-04-23 10:52

Wow, it's a massive thing. Pretty impressive. Love the visual style.

danik 2012-04-23 10:54

Awesome, like a primitive cross between Minecraft and Quake. Cool! Just wish there were some levels to play.

sdwil2k5 2012-04-23 11:25

It's a game in kit-form, I love it.
some options to modify control settings would be good, I found them a little sensitive in 1st person mode. Nicely executed.

madball 2012-04-23 11:34

That's a rather nice and comfortable editor. You should continue working on it. And pay attention to gameplay.

toast 2012-04-23 15:34

Given the timeframe this is very impressive.

tcstyle 2012-04-23 15:49

A great prototype for a level editor and game, but not a game in a strict sense at all. I really like the visual look of it.

xsmalldeadguyx 2012-04-23 19:06

Fun! Graphics are nice, the idea is nice too :) I think some preset levels would be good. The music is a little mixed up, some bits seem like calm melody played over a fast drum bit :/

darkfrost 2012-04-23 23:20

Awesome! Good idea, pulled off really well, easy to use! Would've been really nice to have a prebuild level with it, or an easy way to save/load levels from a textbased format that we could drop in the comments :p

ratking 2012-04-23 23:34

In the standalone it really is a textbased format! :-)
I didn't test that with the Mac version though, where it saves the files there ... :-S

joekinley 2012-04-24 09:51

Awesome toy. Really awesome. Great work. I can see this turning into some pretty nice games.

volkanongun 2012-04-24 10:13

this is becoming popular!

hazard 2012-04-24 12:43

Very nice idea to let the players build their own levels. Would've been great to have one predefined level, though.

tifu 2012-04-24 18:22

Great, like others say, would be awesome with some premade levels. The video I saw on youtube seems to have lava and stairs as items you can place, but these things don't seem to be accessible to me, is this a bug or are you working on an update or?

samoojamies 2012-04-24 20:35

I made too hard level :D. Slick game/editor

ratking 2012-04-24 21:13

@Tifu: Yeah, it's my current version, which I just uploaded at Kongregate!

envy3d 2012-04-24 21:57

Very impressive. Bravo good sir!

derrickdool 2012-04-26 05:37

Tons of fun sandboxing. Hope to see this develop outside the 48. Definitely sunk some time into this.

johnicholas 2012-04-26 15:55

This fits 'build it and then use it' as well as 'tiny worlds'. AND IT HAS KITTENS!

ranoka 2012-04-28 16:22

Great game, amazing accomplishment. Shame you didn't have time to put some starting levels in the LD version. The editor is very intuitive and easy to use! I also really like the ultra low-poly style graphics.

remi_b 2012-05-01 18:24

Very impressive! I really like the blood effect!

alwaysgeeky 2012-05-01 19:25

Really nice concept, great to see another block-based game, like mine :) I love games that include level editors too!

oye-beto 2012-05-01 23:12

Minecraft made easier and with more interactivity :o

This entry has a big future, keep updating it! :D

lukerissacher 2012-05-02 02:13

Awesome - this really inspires me to want to explore and experiment with a minecraft type engine. Guess I can tackle that after I try making a roguelike - and a Terarria game - and a platformer - and... :)

recursor 2012-05-02 14:11

I really like the cat warrior death sequence and the fact that you've included a level editor in a 48 hour game. The way you have saved levels, particularly in the post-compo version, interests me. It appears to be a better version of what you did in the compo entry. Any hints on what you did? Did you compress the text or encrypt it or something? Anyway, quite impressive!

ratking 2012-05-02 20:33

Thanks everybody!
recursor, I just compressed the text via BZip2 and encoded it with base64. Or anything like that, I don't really understand it fully, but it works, even without plugins in Unity! :-)

thotep 2012-05-02 21:17

Haha, this is really fun! I like the graphics, blood cubes are just great :) Wish there were some example levels to play.

jhelle 2012-05-02 21:46

Very nice editor to play around with, can make some pretty awesome stuff with this. Loving the 3d art too!

minism 2012-05-03 04:50

Wow really well done so much fun

jediman 2012-05-03 18:43

Very awesome! I spent a while playing with this and I loved the visuals :D (Thanks for the comment on my game also ;))

amodo 2012-05-04 10:53

Very impressive what you did there.

pierrec 2012-05-06 13:35

This is a very impressive work. I haven't enough patience to build some great levels, so I'm gonna try the post compo version...but stil...woah...can't believe you've made it in 48h!

brighterorange 2012-05-07 01:26

This is pretty cool. Minecraftesque. I do wish some levels came with it so that I could get the hang of what I should build, since in my first level I fell out of the world pretty quickly. :)

thegreystudios 2012-05-11 16:14

Really nice idea :) I would have loved one or two tutorial like level that you could just play and see all the features. Simon

jplur 2012-05-12 22:14

Saw a lot of hype for this entry and it's well deserved, very solid dungeon maker, would love to see continued work on this!!

codexus 2012-05-13 09:40

Nice level editor but where is the game?

ratking 2012-05-13 16:47

Make a level with enemies and a goal and press T! :-)

cakencode 2012-05-13 18:20

Some of the sound effects were a bit irking, but I like the level editor and how you can just jump in and play or jump out of it at any time. I had a good time fiddling with different environments. :)
