TOWER of Evolution by SiENcE 2012-09-02T11:44:00
A fun Game. I really like the spawn point system. The graphics reminds me of the good old times. The music an sounds fit very well!

Hmm, nothing here..
It compiled here without problems. But running is a different story. It went fullscreen and stretches over both monitors. After i changed my monitor setup the game runs, but it runs way to fast. Maybe the 2kfps bug. On the first try the game died with like this:
cc@cc-T500:~/ld24/AdvancedEvolutionaryTactics$ ./install.sh
*** glibc detected *** ./AdvancedEvolutionaryTactics: malloc(): memory corruption (fast): 0x00007f6b504ddda0 ***
on the second try i just got:
cc@cc-T500:~/ld24/AdvancedEvolutionaryTactics$ ./install.sh
Segmentation fault
The game looked quite fun, but it was too dam fast to really see someting. After about 10 to 20 seconds of gameplay i was stuck in the homebase and all my new cratures where just instantly killed.
I like the concept. The game is relay changing. With a litle bit of polishing, eyecandy and a slightly smaller growth rate it would make an excellent party game.
Nice game but the game window is little to big for my screen
Beautiful and short. I managed it to enter the land in the first tile, but i had to jump back in to get to the second tile. I played the flash version, if that helps.
Hard one .. The jumps have to be perfect in times. With 40 deaths I didn't get beyond the "now you have to decide". These damn spikes are everywhere. Sorry, this one isn't for me (although it caught me fast and I really liked the graphics and the idea with localStorage and the achievements. I even got "you killed 50 dinos").
Impressive work. Great mood, the music really helps.
That was random. If you just had put in jumping and a little more responsive controls, that would have been a completely different game.
Good game an fun to play. Its sometimes a bit laggy here running chrome. And the "game over" screen should stay a little bit longer. I din't notice it looked like a bug (in fact i had started a new game).
The scoring mechanic is great!
Hi, thanks for the Comments.
The thing is, the energy is supposed to be a thing of value.
You have to watch the jumping a little and eat as much blue slimy things as possible, then you'll have no problems at all.
I like the idea of turn based evolution, even the multiplayer thing is good a class based concept on top sounds great. But there are a lot of down sites. The intro text was hard to read, i have a rather wide terminal so the lines become really long and hard to follow. A simple clear screen should happen, when the next player makes his move. The point of seeing isn't there if i can just look up the position in the lines above. You could use the space to draw a ascii map and the options the player has. I also missed some feedback, when i atacked.
Great writing! This game really kills my time to vote. Excellent Job.
Solid work, and nice kittens :)
I liked the game. Maybe it would be i good idea to show the each level at the start, just to tell the player where to look for the orbs.
Is it only me or is this really hard? Level A: The saucers were ok, but the next wave just blew me away. Nice graphics and sound.
Haha, nice game :-) Controls are to wobbly but this remembers me somehow of carmageddon :-) Nice physicsthingy! And +1 for Blender Game Engine.
I like this one. It took me i while to figure out how the feeding worked. Its defensibly fun to try to breed them for speed.
Damn hard. Music that sounds a little bit like Doom 1 or 2 'nuff said.
Didn't work in chrome on linux though, but Firefox got it right.
Took me quite some time to get started on this one. After i got it it was fun. There is a lot of clicking involved. A great plus were the setting for map size and difficulty. I thing it would be a good idea to let the cells move in the direction of a mouse click.
