I'm sorry, but i can't run this :( I just get an error from flash player saying:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

I hope you manage to fix it because your game looks pretty nice :)

Doesn't work for me either. I'm getting the same error message. Windows 7 Pro, x64

Okay, I'm not sure why it wouldn't work, but it was a projector. Anyway, I uploaded the .swf file, so hopefully that works
swf works fine, you might want to add a web link to the page so you get more plays ;)

We go together like rama lama lama ke ding a de dinga a dong
Marry me, toaster.
I'll probably play the game at some point too.
I played the swf, which worked great. Not sure if there's a way to not-die, but I'm having fun regardless. :)
The graphics, while simple, are rather nice! The warping/scrambling on the text looked awesome, and was very disorienting on the level itself, which I suppose is the effect you are going for! The takeaway for me is that it's a lovely little interactive story, told with a good sense of humor.
Keep up the good work!

I'm still waiting to hear back from my proposal. I am heartbroken. We're made for each other.
Anyway I liked the graphics and story and stuff. Bit barebones, hoping there would be a bit more to the gameplay than there was. But I still love you.

I like it, nice and simple, althought i think the music didn't loop so well.
Argh, somebody kill that accordion player ;)
Music aside, reminds me a bit of the Platformance games, I like the concept of seeing the whole map at once.

Huh. I was not expecting the second twist. I *was* anticipating the first twist...something had to happen when you got the idol. I was expecting more spike traps and skeletons come to life, though. This was more sophisticated, if a bit light on the interaction.
I do like the idea of platforming down to learn the space and then platforming up to escape it.

I always liked one-screen platformers, but this one feels like it would be a lot better with some kind of challenge. The only jump you really have to make is the one around the middle of the map on your way up. It's a bit frustrating that the only way to screw up is the one that's forced upon you, and even if you just put more jumps like that one that only make you backtrack if you fail, it would still be a much more entertaining platformer. That said, it controls nicely and has good looking graphics. The music is a bit annoying, but it would be much less so if the loop was smoother.

I assumed the descent was building up to some huge runaway type thing or maybe a boss fight. I was left rather disappointed and irritated by the music. I did however like the graphics a lot.
Toast, you have it wrong. You are the love child of Toaster and Bread!
This game is soooooo cute. Unfortunately my 40+ year old eyes found it hard to see. (=.=)

@Toast Feel free to use my slots any day.
@Everyone_Else Thanks for the feedback. If I get a chance I'll try to smooth the music at some point. Sometime I'd like to make a game like this that is more of a game, but I ran out of time. Thanks for playing anyway
Press X to die...that's so sad :C Man you could use zoom and set a camera relative to the player! it's hard to appreciate what's on the screen! xD anyway, well done :)
I really like the idea of a platformer where the whole world is on the screen at once. I suppose I was squinting a bit to see my character, but that would be expected, wouldn't it? Fun concept, I was wishing you'd do a little more with it.
Great entry, nice controls, love the detailed graphical style and colours. Would have liked some sounds effects, and it was quite easy, but fun all the same. Nice!
I liked the graphics, the way it's played (with the really vertical screen) and the fact the everything is constructed within a single level/screen. But I don't really like the ending, without any control over it and still feels a bit like "short timing, let's end the game quickly". Good work anyway

I liked that you could see the entire level all the time but the gameplay could use some variation. Also the music can get quite anoying.
