Emm, about 20 seconds long. A man with some pixels not rubbed out enough to be transperent. And some terrible writing on a slanted sign. :| I don`t get it

freegor 2012-08-27 02:45

Looks promising.

kortuga98 2012-08-27 02:47

What is this I don't even.
I appreciate that you entered at least.
But...
This...
I don't think this is really even a game...

5 for humor though.

rose 2012-08-27 02:48

Nice parallax scrolling :)

Oreganik 2012-08-27 03:30

Very promising indeed! I was sad to see it end so quickly.

cadin 2012-08-27 04:01

I like your moon. You should try again next time.

mdkess 2012-08-27 04:08

There's a saying in software development: the first 90% of the work takes 90% of the time. The last 10% of the work takes the other 90% of the time.

I think that this is especially true in your case - you almost have a game here. All of the boring "mechanical" work seems to be taken care of!

In any case, good work!

entity2d 2012-08-27 14:31

Possibly a record for the shortest game? Did real life get in the way, or something?

materie 2012-08-27 18:42

Indeed it did. Had but one day to actually make it, as I only got planning done on day one. Didn't want to make a generic blob-game, nor did I want to do go the "make an upgrade game and call it evolution"-route. A game about actual evolution would be a bit beyond me, so I ended up with trying a story-based one. Then I spent almost all the time left on trying to make decent graphics. Gonna try and make a nice little postmortem about it, and since it's actually an idea I want to make, guess I'll spend some time on completing it as well. Learnt a lot, I did, at least.

Unfinished game, but think there is potential. Would like to see where you take it.

SethR 2012-08-27 23:22

Finally, I was able to win an LD game

uberi 2012-08-28 01:01

Good concept, could use more content though.

maxium 2012-08-28 07:00

That was short, somehow got killed by the wolf...

timtipgames 2012-08-28 07:26

I played this game to the end! Would really have liked to see what you could have made of it. So sad it's too short.

Jeremias 2012-08-28 13:22

Hi!

Yeah, I think the hardest lesson which Ludum Dare told me, was how difficult it is to plan time... so difficult. In my first competition I realized 4 or 5 hours until end, that my game will be not finished. And then I made a new and simple game in the last 4 hours. So if you think you won't be able to finish a game, my personal advice is just to make a very, very, very... (very) small one in the remaining time.

Humor 4/5 (I really laughed hard xD)

kevincorrigan 2012-08-28 23:27

Looks, like it could be pretty good if you had more time:p

daydalus 2012-08-28 23:52

Hey, good job for submitting. I think your art style and idea have potential. Next time ;)

josefnpat 2012-08-29 21:13

Fire!

michax 2012-08-30 12:46

Nice premise :) Good luck with finishing it!

gnx 2012-08-30 12:48

I find the art pretty enjoyable, animation is also very smooth and pleasent. Too bad for the extremely short game. Reminded me a bit about old DOS adventure games like Hugo.

teknik 2012-09-01 19:16

nice attempt.

adventureislands 2012-09-02 18:45

Well, your idea was good, shame you couldn't finish the game.

gritfish 2012-09-06 12:07

Not much to comment on game-wise.
Your coding was neat and tidy, and you got a parallax background working.
Would have liked to have seen the wolf realised!

If you struggled making graphics / music in time, maybe look into using open source sprite libraries like http://opengameart.org/ and entering as a jam entry next time.

cataclysmicknight 2012-09-09 02:26

I will say that I'm curious to see what happens next :)
