I spent so much time playing this. Extremely addicting for such a simple concept.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → Uberi

Same here. Freezes at about 85%.
If you're quick, you still have 5 minutes to fix it!
Challenging, but neat!
By the time I finish the first level the screen is spraying black everywhere.
Was not able to play - "Alternative Content" shown as well as a "Get Flash Player" badge. I am using Chrome with builtin flash on Windows 7 32 bit.
What a great concept!
Gets pretty challenging after a while. I liked it.
Love the concept, though the pastas could have some better AI. Although, they are pastas...
Lovely graphics and fun to play!
Good concept and implementation, but the mass loss to friction is a bit excessive in my opinion.
Thanks for testing, BMacIntosh, while I don't know what causes this I've uploaded a new version that possibly fixes the issue.
To those of you who are having difficulties with playing Out of the Sea, would you kindly state your OS version and service pack please? In my admittedly limited testing I have not tested very many OSs.
I've been unable to reproduce this "Not Responding" issue on any of my test systems, I'm afraid. Sorry to those of you who are having issues with it, I've made a gameplay video for you guys :)

By the way, I would appreciate it if you also tried the source code version, might help me figure out what the problem is.
Thanks for all the responses. I still have no idea why it's not working, but it would be great if anyone could tell me if it is working for them. And if so, what their setup is (OS, whether you have AHK installed, etc.). Perhaps a pattern will emerge.
For now, I don't even know where to begin debugging yet.
Sorry, AHK is AutoHotkey, the scripting language this game is written in. Being short on time, I used a ton of hacks to make everything work correctly.
That included forking a ton of processes to handle sounds asynchronously. Hey, don't point that thing at me. It's ugly, it's slow, and it causes kittens to die, but it works.
For now a tentative workaround is to install AutoHotkey at the website provided in the post. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to change this anymore, so I won't just to be safe :)
It is indeed a keyboard macro program. However, it's capable of so much more - it's a pretty complete scripting language, actually.
If anyone has installed AutoHotkey and is still experiencing these issues, please sound off in the comments here. Otherwise I can only Ask you to install it and give it another shot. Thank you for your patience! I am at a mobile device right now but a post-Jam version will soon be made available that will probably make the code significantly cleaner.
CapGrip: do you have AutoHotkey installed? For now, this program requires AHK to work properly, even the compiled version.
You may have noticed that I've added a notice about the AHK requirement. Or not. I can't figure out how to make this text bold, anyways, it doesn't support MarkDown, HTML, or BBCode.
Good concept, could use more content though.
Controls were far too difficult for me to use, I got stuck by the second level. Otherwise, a pretty sweet game.
Addicting and funny. Awesome!
I selected "Go Outside" repeatedly, though, and it queued all the animations up. Perhaps it would be better to disable the button until the dog is "done its business"?
Unfortunately did not do anything when I tried to run it. Process stayed open for a little while and then closed.
Ran it from the command line too, just to see if there was any output (there wasn't).
Mesmerizing! But sort of confusing at first.
Fun concept, but the game behaves very quirkily at times.
Couldn't make it work properly, but good to see a BGE game!
@josefnpat: Blender is cross-platform. Try running it in a Linux version of Blender.
Wow! Something really worth playing.
Very complete. It's not often that a cellular automata game becomes so engrossing.
As Cake&Code said, it became difficult to tell if my projectiles were actually doing anything to my targets since there was no response to successful hits. That said, this is a fun game and has more depth than the average top-down spaceship shooter.
I found the game a bit slow at the beginning for my tastes, but it gets interesting after things speed up.
Great writing, intuitive controls, best text adventure I've seen in a while!
Sometimes challenging, sometimes easy, always a fun time.
Good story, fun to play, but I had trouble going through doors. Always had to jiggle around a bit before they'd open.
Couldn't figure out how to do survival, but 350 kittens later I'd consider my time well spent.
