I think it can be a good game in the future if will improve graphics
quirky controlls and very different graphics style from whait i have seen before. But i stuck with this game for quite some time. There is something on it, something... hard to explaing. I enjoyed it a lot. Also i never seen build on github before. But i guess its part of experience :P
Liked the fluid animation of the character, but made it really hard to land jumps because you can't tell exactly where his hitbox is. The dynamic light is a cool touch.
A solid platformer with a pretty art style. Well done!
I would prefer a more zoomed out view, and for the character to lose momentum when I take my fingers off the controls.
Even though graphics could be improved and the somewhat clunky physics make the game way harder than it supposedly ment to be I really enjoyed the atmosphere, great work!
I like the idea behind this one. :) It's almost like your little flame stick is a companion that helps you get through the level. I do wish that that connection was a little stronger, through. The flame obviously depends on the player to not go out. However, from what I was able to get through, the flame didn't really offer anything to the player to help them get through the level. It would be cool if that relationship was a bit more symbiotic, but that's just my opinion. :)
I think if the controls were tightened up a bit (for example, having more precise control over my vertical and horizontal movement in the air) this could make for a very cool game!
There is a good vibe in this game. The ambiance is here. You have to do some work on the controls I guess but overall, the game has something !
I like the main mechanic. Controls were a little fiddly unfortunately. I couldn't figure out where to go after I passed the torch underneath a waterfall and reached a brazier set against a high wall :(
I like the art style and how fire effects are done, it is very atmospheric (and music too). But it is really hard to control the hero - hard to predict where he will land when jumping, or maybe he will fall down.
there's some really good potential here! It felt good landing a perfect throw of the torch! NICE
Nice game, I found the use as w for jump a bit confusing, and kept dropping the torch when I meant to jump.
Solid game, loved the concept. The player animations were good as well! The hit boxes when jumping felt a little bit off though.
I really like the original take on the 2.5D art style. It shows a lot of work went into the different assets and they create a world that is interesting to explore. Also the music is understated butd thoughtful, which is a great thing. The controls are a bit fiddly and the water seems extremely deadly :D
Some nice visual touches in here (cool particle effect when you light a brazier) and the music is really good.
I do like the concept behind the gameplay here: maneuvering your character and the torch around obstacles while avoiding water and completing tasks before the fire goes out. Unfortunately the controls are pretty frustrating right now. The character slips around on the platforms too much, making it hard to land precisely. He also seems to frequently drop the torch when I don't expect him to, and throwing it usually ends up just dropping it instead.
A very relaxing and fun little platformer. The music and visuals is pretty good. The controls is okay, but jumping control could have been better. Overall a fine Little jam game.
This is a solid entry with a lot of potential to evolve. I managed to reach a third level! :)
