First I was very close to give up because nothing ever happened... I didn't understand that the hamster was below that first instructions sheet. When I got around to play the actual game it was a trip down memory lane for me to. I remember playing some of those games! Very nice idea to make a meta-game about all previous games one has made.

The core mechanic is pretty neat, but I'm quite bad at it! Most of my challenge came from trying to keep my eye on the speed meter at the same time as dodging the enemies and trying to get the people. Maybe I should've just tried to listen for the pitch changing.

Once I had wrestled with controls long enough to get the hang of them this game was very fun. One thing I will say that it is sometimes a bit unclear what the good thing to collect and what the bad one is. Concretely it happened to me in level 2. Love the cute hamster.

That was funny, but, as @tomathor I think it was a little confusing to know the difference between the good and the bad things. The hamster is sooo cute. Well done! :)

Excellent mechanics, good Job really fun to play ^^

This was very endearing, I'll admit I found it annoying that the hamster is hidden behind the first set of instructions (I had to read the comments to figure that out), and the instructions made it sound as though you were meant to tap and not hold the mouse, but the game is nice. I hope it gets some more attention soon!

I also liked the OST selection and the little backstories provided. This feels very personal as a game.

Hi, I really liked the gamplay, I'm quite surprised that I managed to look at two places at the same time throughout the game. I love the music of pig(gy? I do not remember sorry) capitalist. Even without tutorial we understand perfectly how to play great job :) A game tribute of others that's cool!

Wonderful little game. One of my favourite interpretations of the theme so far. It turned out surprisingly fun to keep the disk spinning at the right speed, and the songs were a good motivation to keep going! The only thing I don't understand is why the gold speed window changes so much when you touch the negative item thingy. It feels weird to be listening to the song at 100% speed, then have to make it slow down or speed up and sound weird. Also, the later stages didn't really feel harder. I didn't notice them getting faster, which I think would have been a more effective way to ramp up difficulty than making the speed window smaller.

Anyways, I really loved this one, very unique and +1 for cute hamster.

This game is fun once you get used to the controls and the objects that set you back in progress. It is hard to tell what objects you need to avoid unless you hit it yourself though, as other people have mentioned. The initial instructions were also somewhat misleading as I thought when I clicked somewhere, the hamster would move to that location, but I have to *hold* the click to move around. However, the music is great and the mechanics are interesting; great game!

Very unique concept. Difficult to get hang of at first, but I was able to get it by reading some of the comments. Nice work and nice tunes!

Great game! Great balancing movement around the lp and trying to pay attention to the speed up and avoiding enemies / going for collectables.

Nice story segments in betweens, biographical game jam OST collection.

I agree that it didn’t get harder (I did notice that the window got smaller, but it just restricted movement), It could work by having more enemies or make the enemies / pickups move around in different ways.

Very solid and unique entry!

Really cool, a lot of fun and discovered some interesting games I'll take a look at now! Definitely feels more balanced than a prototype I played earlier, starting below the text and actually walking to the turntable is a good way to show that you can also walk off the turntable - I didn't get that in the prototype and couldn't figure out to get to the next level. Unfortunately, I had some performance problems with the audio stuttering a bit, not sure why that is. Still quite enjoyed playing it!

A metagame is a strange concept, but pretty damn good fitting. Extremely creative! Nice music too!

randomhuman 2020-04-23 08:55

What a delightful retrospective! I liked how inherently rewarding having the music play at the right speed was, independent of the gameplay effects it had. The graphics are super cute too. The hitboxes on the bad objects are a bit big and for some records it is hard to tell which is which. Minor complaints though - a really great game overall!

Neat game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/Xpc46Nkubiw
