LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Mr. Cheeks Sweet Dreams by MrTroy 2020-10-07T21:39:12Z

This is definitely a game with an addictive quality. We've played it a few times and are determined to get the candy, whatever the cost! We loved the unexpectedly deep voice of the hamster haha. This generally had a polished feel and was easy to pick up. Would play on mobile. Would like a desktop full screen feature as the mouse kept going outside the screen.

Rad Boar Rewind by alexrose 2020-10-06T21:26:37Z

Saw your keynote from a few jams ago and was very inspired to crunch. Glad to see that you clearly did too! Really enjoyed the game and it was a well executed idea to say the least. I actually had a similar idea myself but didn't go with it as it was my first jam and the complexity overwhelmed me a bit haha.

Ascend by almost 2020-10-07T18:17:38Z

Fanastic art work and some great game mechanics. Loved the atmosphere and it felt like I was in a painting. Particularly impressed with the particle effects.

Hoop Knight by lectvs 2020-10-07T19:04:18Z

Very complete experience! I'm sure you'll do very well in at least one category. It's a lot of fun and somehow you actually finished it in 48 hours. Loved the story too! :)

Springy's Adventure by TheCrittersCove 2020-10-06T21:55:24Z

Very drawn in by the cover image and title so nice job there. Loved the main character + hawk artwork + animation and the general world aesthetic. We missed the music which would have completed the atmosphere you were going for I think. Would loved to have played more but the game kept crashing for some reason after a minute or two. Great job!

Stagnatum by Cosmic Adventure Squad 2020-10-06T21:47:47Z

Was really blown away by your cover photo and it tempted us to play this so great job on that! Played until the end (for me anyway ;). Loved the poetic theme and general atmosphere. The colour scheme was very pleasing to the eye. Calm and comfortable to play, just general nice vibes. The end cutscene was very well done also.

Get the Pizza! 🍕 by gnx 2020-10-07T21:41:55Z

This was very cool, it's a neat idea that's well executed. The only thing I had a problem with which would just be nit picking because it's such a complete game was that the cube should snap to the positions so that it's easier to line up with the gaps. PS. I love Pizza so that's a plus for me. Also, I didn't know you could host games on Netlify so that is awesome!

Ouroboros: The Cursed Hero by LERPish 2020-10-16T22:58:26Z

Loved the dramatic story and artwork. Felt tense all the way through. Cool and original creepy boss design. Liked the scenery and atmospheric music choice! The camera movement could be smoother as the player moves so fast when he attacks. Love the concept though, could be a fun full game Thanks again for playing our game on stream :)

The Daily Grind by meadjix 2020-10-07T21:55:44Z

Wow, how did you get this much work done in 3 days?? I was pretty blown away by the detail in the game and to be honest I was shocked when the farming level finished and it moved onto a completely different world! I would have struggled to finish the first level haha. Bravo.

The Machine in the Woods by digital bacon 2020-10-07T22:12:26Z

I've never tried 3D but it looks like you learned a hell of a lot! I'd probably still be working out how to export from Blender into Unity by now! I liked the funny dialog about the machine. With a few extra mechanics and some polish I think this could be a really solid title! Well done, don't be so hard on yourself!

WORK ROUTINE by ROBOWARRIOR1982 2020-10-08T21:39:25Z

I was really immersed in this game! Very cool style, atmosphere and general commentary on work life for so many people. I love something with a good amount of depth, and you really captured that "from a to be" sort of world. Well done! Thanks for sharing this.

The Unfinished Tale of a Certain Magical Shadow Puppet by Magnanix 2020-10-06T22:00:54Z

Haha I loved the title, very honest and funny :D Aw, real shame about the dialogue that didn't make it in! What was there was awesome, you have a fantastic voice. My fiance is a writer and was very impressed.

Alter-Nate by Codeman1010 2020-10-07T22:03:50Z

I was NOT expecting the duck hahaha. I was definitely stuck in a loop :D, I kept dying and couldn't figure out what I had done wrong. Big fan of the artwork!

Astroline by Mr.developer 2020-10-06T21:23:07Z

Holy cow, that was good. I could have sworn I was playing Hotline Miami it was that good! This is one I'm going to come back to and play again I think as I didn't manage to complete it this time around. How did you do this in 3 days? Insane

Duck In A Loop by Matt Lewis 2020-10-07T07:43:56Z

This one had my partner and I smiling all the way through! It's just a happy game :) I found the controls a little hard to master but the general aesthetic and mood were very well put together. Would make a fun mobile game with the gyroscope to turn. Bravo!

The Lone Starmen by cyberfrank 2020-10-07T18:30:09Z

A very beautiful game, I was shocked when I right clicked and then even more shocked when I realised it was a flashlight. The art, sound effects and general ambience were on point! I guess I was waiting for some kind of transition or progression or a challenge/puzzle. Overall excellent entry and I'm not sure how you did it in time.

The Cursed Tower by SevenLevelGames 2020-10-07T07:46:45Z

Ah yes! Another "Cursed" game... We are a small breed! :) About to start work but I'm bookmarking this for later. Cheers

Stuck in a Soup Loop by Doot 2020-10-07T18:52:19Z

This is the best entry I have played yet, very fun and hilarious. Great job!

Lunar Loop by Tom Stephenson 2020-10-06T21:06:47Z

Really impressive game, smooth and seemless. It's a simple and effective idea that's executed really well and keeps you eager to play til the end. The style is great. Loved the music and general ambience. Reminded me of Moon. Spoiler alert: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f5QYJ20wHiqXhD64h6EZtL_gyJ1DxTF7/view?usp=sharing

RIP in Time by ATonic 2020-10-07T18:40:22Z

We didn't complete the game but thought the mood was excellent and I absolutely adore this song so that was a big plus! The spelling mistakes made us laugh as we were rushing like crazy in the last few hours and did a few things like that ourselves :D

Stuck on the Train by Conneli 2020-10-08T21:00:41Z

Was that really your first ludum dare?? Very impressive stuff. Loved the voice acting, it has inspired us for our games. Nice pace and vibe to the game. Found a bug where the text overlapped a bit. It was nice gradually putting the pieces together.

Press The Button by Steventus 2020-10-07T19:10:42Z

Hahaha, I really enjoyed my Farmville-esque experience. Unfortunately didn't make it to 9999999, damn. Very well put together game with clean graphics and sound effects. Nice

The Cursed Knight by djayne 2020-10-07T08:35:16Z

Thank you all for your comments so far, it really means a lot to us. We'll be playing your games together later tonight and commenting back. :) PS. Check out Tom Stephenson's and HumanIsRed's games if you haven't. Played last night and they are both great!

The Cursed Knight by djayne 2020-10-07T10:44:53Z

Thanks @digital-bacon, we completely agreed with all of those points haha. Will try and implement them for a post jam version. Just a matter of too much scope for our first game and not getting a chance to change those bits. Really appreciate the solid feedback you've given here. Will play yours later. Dan & Georgia

Neverending Duck War by Angelee 2020-10-07T22:19:53Z

I pressed space bar so many times haha. Liked the humour and general look and feel in the game, it's so cute! Nicely done, I hope to be able to make 3D characters like this some day.

Looped by Leo Red 2020-10-07T19:18:25Z

A very simple idea that just works. I wasn't sure whether it was possible to complete but I had a lot of fun trying anyway! Like someone else said it could do with a more gradual difficulty increase and perhaps a few lighter tutorial/prep levels. Big possibility for this to be a popular mobile game.
