I liked the reversal of death and teleport mechanics, to turn teleportation into a bad thing, and death into a good thing! :-)

A few comments:

A bug I experienced: Sometimes, when hitting a "fake" lava section, I was trapped inside the floor when it appeared. In this case, I had to restart the game.

It was probably not neccessary to block the door during the tutorial. The mechanics are intuitive, even without reading about them.

All in all, it was an interesting platformer :-) I didn't have the platforming skills to get to the end, sadly.

It has some cool level design ideas, with creative ways to avoid the blue pads. I also liked the level where you had to teleport the red block to a specific place. But the rules of the levels are often inconsistent with each other. That does fit the name though. The movement needs to be snappier as I often found myself not being as precise with my jumps as I would like to.

Really fun game ! The door at the beginning stay closed for too long, that's the only negative thing about it. Well done.

I love fonts in this game, they are wonderful. Every level has some interesting ideas, but actually I can't pass 3rd level, maybe I just didn't figure out something. Overall, that's a really good game, but u have no sounds in the game(

sevenlevelgames 2020-10-06 10:15

@adil that's why i checked do not vote my game for audio , thanks for your feedback ! You have to jump down the map it will teleport you to the top that's how you can pass level 3 :)

Nice inverted mechanic and puzzle, it nice to revert it in the last level. The last level is a bit tricky at add to restart couple of time to find the right jump intensity and not die directly.

Also I downloaded the source file by error and see that you have left the _Library_ folder. When you export your project files or put them on a source control system, you only need: _Assets_, _Packages_ and _ProjectSettings_. All the other folder are regenerated by Unity. You also don't need any of the _visual studio_ files or folder. If your are one 2020+ you could add _UserSettings_ but it's not mandatory. ;)

@sevenlevelgames oh, thx man, i'll try to play next when i know how to pass this level ;)

Ah yes! Another "Cursed" game... We are a small breed! :) About to start work but I'm bookmarking this for later. Cheers

Great entry for this jam. With some advanced graphics it would be very great. Congratulations.

Nice ideas of level-design, of traps and tricks , it was pretty good !

There was a bug at the second level, I was trapped on the white floor with no chance to jump with the spacebar.

Good job

Some pretty neat levels in this. Good job!

Interesting, I found it really fun, and player until the color puzzle, which was impossible for me because I'm color blind.

pluisjen 2020-10-25 10:49

I felt like the color puzzle was a bit out of place; unless you're familiar with the names of colors like that, it will probably make no sense to the user.

The other puzzles were fun and challenging, but I felt the "stuck in a loop" theme was missing a bit. Only one level required a bit of cleverness with killing yourself to pass, the others were more like generic platformer levels.

Still, solid entry. It seems pretty complete and the challenge level is appropriate.

(And a minor point, but a "quit" button would have been nice. Closing out of games with Alt+F4 feels a bit wrong)

benjamin 2020-10-25 10:56

The puzzles were fun, not too easy and not too hard at the same time. You could bring a lot more life to your game by just investing a bit of the 48h in the sounds. Just jump / die / success beeps will greatly improve the overal game quality ( I tested the game because of your post but I already have my 20+ rating, so better spend your time on danger zone games  )

Hey, I played your game on stream! It was a heap of fun, here’s the vod if you’d like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/781363405

Thanks for submitting your game!

island-jam-2-group-3 2020-10-25 20:43

Entertaining game ;-) If I had a complaint it would be that the tutorial was too long and I hadn't any options for skiping it. Other than that good job!

yword 2020-10-27 14:32

Cool, I just completed all levels! Interesting gameplay and nice level design. ^_^

theinkskeleton 2020-10-27 19:40

Hey, this is really good! A short but really fun game. Graphics were nice enough, and some sounds or music would have made it a lot better. The puzzles were pretty entertaining, there were some I thought were really difficult, and then the solution was right in front of me! That's really good in a game. So overall, you should be pretty proud of your game. Congratulations!
