Thanks for the input, guys. I've got the web version up - let me know if you run into issues with it. Regarding some of your comments:
@racarate: You don't pick up the item drops, the robots do. If they pick up an item, that item will be integrated into subsequently generated robots. Also, the "pineapples" are the ones doing the evolving, so, yeah.
@Thurig and @Mamick: Thanks for the suggestions. I enjoyed working on the game, so there's a chance I'll do a post-compo release. If I do, sound and updated controls can be implemented.
@hnjslater: Now it is! also, no, your death (while unfortunate) is inevitable.
Hmm. I'm getting a crash almost every time the yellow box makes it to the dark grey line at the start of the game. It did work once, but I don't know what I did differently that time.
From what I saw, it's an interesting entry. I liked the path effect on the level generation. It was better 3D than I could pull off in 48 hours.
