cool idea, you need to realize all stuff.
I really like your art style and theme with this.
Gameplay feels kinda clunky and there doesn't seem to be many things to do.
However the art is really quite wonderful, keep it up with your main game.
for some reason as you get closer to a pile you slow down so you relaly have to jiggle back and forth and finagle your controls to pick them up, 9/10 of them seemed to spawn on top of buildings and trees also so the game itself was impossible to really play. The art style on the hobo's is neat though, i definitely like the style it has to it.
Thanks for all the comments and constructive criticism. Yes I admit this game is clunky, but it will all be fixed in the real game. Think of this as a pre-pre alpha :D. I'm glad people like the idea though. As for building spawning...I tried fixing that, but the spawner would get stuck in the restricted zones and stop spawning rubbish all together.
Fun game to play! Like the look and feel of the game as well as your sound loop. Neat concept with the hobo improving himself and evolving! Unfortunately, couldn't seem to get into the library to do the resume. I tried and tried. Was as level 3 Richer and had $4100 cash. Thought I was supposed to access the library by then... Maybe I misunderstood. But anyways, just to let you know just in case it is a problem so you can fix it! Would love to see this game progress as I feel it is an excellent start! Very well done!
@thewiseguy99, thanks for the input, it means a lot to me/us. If you want I can email you when the full games comes out and maybe give you early access :P
I didn't understand the idea of selling your bottles at the shop until the second playthrough (I was wondering why everything had faded to black...). It needs some work to be more engaging and be a proper full game, but it's a good start. Nice art, too.
Pretty grind heavy game but I like the idea.
