For whatever reason I am unable to continue from the main menu.
Enter, space none work :(
A bit strange that in the menu you have to use "x" to select anything.
The game ended when I saved the first one ? Moving is realllly slow too.
The game opens but doesn't do anything but display a blank white window.
X key thing was confusing as was the inability to walk on the ground at all, but a fun idea if a little short once those obstacles were overcome.
Seems that you can keep saving the same person over and over until you win. Adding some gravity physics would be nice, so that you speed up as you fall, and perhaps speed up the longer you use the jetpack.
Kind of confusing I just figured out how to pass the main menu slapping my keyboard. Seems like the X key is used to confirm the menu. I also didn't get if it's a bug or a feature that I fall through the floor.
I'm on Linux and I launched it with love 0.7.2
I'm not going to rate this atm as I couldn't really complete it, because I always loos my fuel and fall through the floor off the map before I can reach a civilian, I'm probably just to stupid for this.
I also get a blank white window after startup.
I think you have a framerate issue. My computer is pretty slow and it runs choppy, and I wasn't able to land on any platforms. I'm able to jetpack okay, but since I can't land I quickly run out of fuel and continue all the way to the bottom and off the bottom of the screen. The map looks kind of cool, is that supposed to be a digestive tract? Also count me among the people who think X is a bad choice for menu selection unless you say so. :)
I like having a jetpack :o
The screen is a little jerky but it wasn't a real problem.
I'd suggest adding "Press x" in the menu screen or allow the player to press Enter or Spacebar. Also you could add more challenging levels where the player has to use wisely his fuel.
Woo, I win! I love the little yay graphics when "saving" a guy, but seems a bit weird that I just leave him afterwards. I guess they just wanted some company. XD Needs a bit more game to it, but good effort.
Nitpicks: If I can only move by using the jetpack, why does a walking animation play when I try to walk. Seems a bit counter-intuitive. Also, no big deal, but I get quite a bit of view jittering. Seems like the collision detection code needs a bit more tuning? Feels a bit strange with gravity being applied as a velocity rather than an acceleration on a game that emphasizes flying. The menu needs to be fixed, had to read comments to figure that one out.
