The screen shaking was a bit annoying... also colision was strange... when you got hit you just teleported, make it a force that throws the player back.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD24 → SUPER ROBOT EVOLUTION.

@Doft, yeah, the reason why you "teleport" is because I made the player go 5 pixels minus him or her's current x. As for the screen shaking, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to make bug fixes or enhancements after the submission.
Graphics are nice, and the game is playable, but I think it was too simple, and didn't fit the theme well enough.
@Datw, did you at least level up to 5 or 10?
nice feel to the game (style and controls). did not understand though, if there is a goal. just seems like new enemies a spawning forever...
Love it!
Bit buggy, (I died and didn't respawn on my first go), but still super rad!
Nice!
Man, I missed the music!
@LiteLab, yeah, you're not allowed, but if you want to release a post-compo version this is something you could change to make it better, in my opinion. Also, if you're near the wall you get teleported inside it. Next time try to make the player get some speed on the direction you want to move him, instead of teleporting.
Interesting game. I didn't hear anything so I'll just assume there's no audio.
First off, this game had me laughing quite a bit. Everything about it...was...Comical. In a good way. I also love how evolving = bigger gun. When I noticed that, I laughed out loud.
The game wasn't so much a robot game as it was a game where a slime with guns is killing slimes that bounce around everywhere without guns. I kept seeing my robot as a green ditto, for some reason.
Graphics are perfect for this game, but the screen shaking so was quite annoying, try toning it down next time.
The game was quite fun initially, but got a bit boring as time progressed. Great for a coffeebreak, but not something that'll keep me glued to the computer for hours.
I hid under one of the floating pieces of land and the enemies rained all around me. Was a bit too easy. I suggest you add some additional challenges if you plan on continued development of this game.
If I were you, I'd release this game as an app on the phone gaming market. With the suggestions I and other commentators have given, I'm sure it'd be successful :)
All in all, great game, I enjoyed it, and played up to level 17.
Pretty cool! Fast hectic gameplay, I liked the screen shake of the big guys, let you know they were lurking around. Some of the controls were a bit wiggy, like you could teleport into walls when hit, and you did a little "bounce" after jumping and landing before being able to jump again. That said though it seems like a great base to me, I got to around 27 before getting bored, but would stick around longer if there was more to do!
Chaotic but kinda fun. Gameplay gets quite repetitive after a while. Nice presentation.
Cool game.
I like the art style very nice. Would be nice with some particles and more effects. I didn't hear any sound though, maybe your muted it somewhere by accident?
Like the style, not entirely sure what's going on.
