> Cormack's Game of Life

You mean Conway's Game of Life?

homelinen 2012-08-27 11:37

Thanks for that. Knew I'd get his name wrong.

This is pretty cool.

A fun and satisfying simple simulation. Feels like it moves too quickly to feel like you have much impact.

The simulation of fire, forest, villagers, and towns fascinated me. They made such a big town after a few spontaneous clicks that I didn't know how to improve.

raptor85 2012-08-28 07:20

Not much of a game since there's no real goal but a interesting little simulation, only part i can't tell is exactly what's making the fires, i've seen them spawn in areas with no people.

Pretty interesting simulation but the game moves way to fast to actually 'play' it. Would be interesting to slow things down and add some strategy to it.

I could spend hours starring at that!

All the forest burned and urban development got completely out of hand. A simulator indeed.

I love this kind of stuff. What you did here is quite cool. I mean, it's not just cells replicating, but it's pretty much the evolution of a village (of sorts). It certainly lacks an objective and other "gamey" elements, but it's a nice simulation. Good work :)

Interesting simulation, perhaps slightly too fast? I don't know, nice work though even if it isn't much of a game and has nothing to do with evolution.

Pretty cool sim. Yeah, not quite sure how fires are made, but not bad.

Always interesting to watch these type of simulations
