Hi, I wanted to play the game, but Avast claims it got a virus for some reason...

Hi, I wanted to play the game, but Avast claims it got a virus for some reason...
Hi, the game was fun overall, but it was REALLY laggy. I have a pretty strong PC, and other people mentioned this in the comments too, so I guess the performance issue is on your side. I think the game would be really enjoyable, but the lagging really downgraded the whole experience...
Hi, I was really confused when I started the game - like - "What in the God's name am I supposed to do here? Does clicking anything even do anything? Do I use the keyboard?" After getting a heartbreak and a half, I got what I was supposed to do, and I really enjoyed the game. The graphics and audio are really good, as well as the idea and the way you handled the theme, great job there! Only thing I think the game lacks is some sort of difficulty scaling. Once you get the gist of it, it is basically just a matter of luck, how long you survive, which is a pity. Probably new kinds of enemies emerging, some bonuses and such could help? I think you should keep on improving the game, and release it post-LD. Keep up the great work!
Hi, I really enjoyed the game, the mechanics are awesome, you should build up on that and keep developing the game post-LD!
Hi, I really enjoyed this game, awesome job! Only thing that I didn't like was the way discarding works - after discarding a piece, I couldn't build a new one in the same spot (rendering the discarding rather pointless). Otherwise than that, I really enjoyed the experience, along with the art style and relaxing music. You should definitely keep on working the game post-LD and release it!
Hi, the game is nice, but it's a pity that the difficulty curve only gets worse, without giving any aid to the player (like bonuses, healing and such), which greatly decreases the replayability.
It was rather hard at first, but felt really enjoyable when I got the hang of it. Great job!
Hi, as it turns out, the two of us had a pretty similar idea! xD
I really liked the patterns that enemies made, great job there! I enjoyed playing the game, even though it's really hard and I died after getting like 12 cursors, and didn't really manage to beat that score.
Hi, I'm afraid I'm going to be mostly criticizing...
It was rather hard to understand, how exactly did Johhny and then neutron influence each other, which made me not really enjoy the gameplay much. I think the original idea is really great, but it definitely needs a bit of fine-tuning.
Furthermore - the audio. Though I support and like bit-based audio, the sounds in the game were rather unpleasant to listen to. A small change in the pitch might help, maybe?
One more thing, I guess I found a bug while writing this review. When I left the tab open, the game just kind of finished itself, without me doing anything? Like if I got into some kind of Godmode - Jimmy was jsut impervious to damage. :D I suppose the updates are not really happening in the order they are supposed to. Possibly pausing the game when player loses focus could help with this.
Don't get me wrong - I like the game, I just feel like it needs more work done.
The concept is really nice, but the controls were rather unituitive - I mean - why use "M" for jumping? You could just use up and down arrows, that would have made the game much better. Apart from that - the AI is rather bad. It didn't even TRY to stay alive. I suppose you didn't have time to fine-tune that (which I definitely understand :D), but I believe making that work could make the game pretty awesome. Definitely keep on developing the idea further!
@notapixelstudio Yes, definitely! I AM Batman in fact, hehe!
Well, in such a case I would stick to the scheme of: Player 1: Up, down, right, left Player 2: W, S, D, A -as is in the most games. But I suppose it is a matter of preferences.
Hi,
I liked the game, but I think some more gameplay mechanics would be good - the game is a bit too simple for my taste.
Also, as someone stated in the comments up there - some audio feedback for missing and hitting would be nice.
But overall really great job, I am amazed at how some LD games are so neatly polished and finished. Just wow.
Hi, I played the HTML5 version, and it was rather glitchy. First of all, the resolution did not fit the window, so I had to go fullscreen to actually play the game. Also when I first arrived in the house, the dialogues got kinda wonky like if several windows tried to write over each other.
Apart from the bugs, I really like the game, the story was really nice, the gameplay comfortable, and overall the game seems really polished and finished (how did you do that?! :D ), I hope you make more games like this one! Great job c:
Hi, I really liked the game, though the controls were a bit confusing. What would definitely help would be putting them all closer on the keyboard to the WASD scheme. Otherwise than that, I really enjoyed the game, you should definitely keep on developing post-LD!
Hi, the puzzles were really great, some of them left me staring at the screen for a while. :D Really great job! I haven't seen that many puzzle games during this LD, so I really appreciate you making one.
Only thing that is a bit of pity is the way you handled the theme - I feel like it doesn't really fit.
I dunno if it's just me, but I found the controls rather unreliable. They seemed to not work each time, though I felt like I was doing the same thing each time. The original idea was nice, but it could definitely use some improvements - like some bonuses, more enemies etc. Otherwise than that, I really enjoyed the game, and the way you handled the theme, really nice job there!
Hi, I liked the gameplay mechanic of picking the unicorn up and following the radio, that was really refreshing to do. Great job, you should keep on developing the game post-LD and release it!
I found two minor bugs: 1. The radio icon often glitched out of the view, and was visible only when the whole camera was moving. 2. If you put the cursor a little behind the tip of the gun, the gun fires backwards.
I think a comment up there sums it up perfectly: Gross but good. :D
Keep up the great work!
I really enjoyed this game, great job! Only thing I missed were some tooltips to how the drones etc work, but otherwise than that, really awesome job! You should keep on developing this post-LD!
@skar-1 You need to upload all your build files, otherwise noone will get to play your game.
Hi, the link is dead, unfortunately. Try to reupload it, so that people can play your game - it would be a pity if you didn't!
I found myself a little confused at first, not really understanding what to do (I don't really read the "controls" before playing :D) but after I got the gist of it, I found the idea really great! You should definitely keep on improving the game, and officially release it one day. Wish you the best of luck!
Also thank you for the comment on my game, I really appreciate it!
Hi, I really like the concept, though I must admit I was mightily confused as to what exactly am I supposed to do in the game, and how it all works - even though I read the instuctions. Probably adding some way to view the instructions in-game would be really helpful. Otherwise than that, really great job, you should definitely develop the game post-LD and release it!
I think your game is really great! Awesome job with implementing the milkman's confusement as a part of the game mechanic! The puzzles were really great, I enjoyed your game the most from this LD so far.
Only part I didn't like were the conditioned walls - how could I tell them apart from the others easily? Some sort of graphic link would be really helpful to solve those. Also, at one point, the enemies became rather stuck. A bat stopped moving at all, rendering the level impossible to finish. It could possibly be a bug in the way you handle pausing the game.
Also - skeletons liking the milk. Hehe, I see what you did there! :D Really great job with the humorous part of the game.
Hi, I really like the tile-ish idea with the gameplay, but I'm not really sure if it fits well into the theme of "Keep it alive". Though I don't really think it suits this LD, I think you should keep up the great work on the game, and definitely release it - Post-LD.
Though the controls felt smooth during the gameplay, I was sometimes confused by whether I picked up an item or not, so you could possibly improve that.
Also, when I started the game, my laptop started heating up like crazy - I suppose you're doing some updates when you shouldn't be doing so. :D
Hi, really impressive, nice job there! I really liked the whole concept, only thing that was not really my cup of tea was the way the whole level was turning around - that made me a little dizzy after a while of playing. Possibly slowing it down a bit would be nice. But other than that, really great job!
Hi, overall the controls were really good, the game felt good to play - though it really needs more fine-tuning. I fell out of the world just as I started, because I tried to find a secret inside one of the walls and instead just fell down into nothingness :D
Hi, I really like the concept, but the way it was implemented could be improved. I mean - when I jumped down to the earth, it was really hard to get back up on the platforms, so I just kind of gave up on that, and just kept storming forward, which made me finish the game with basically no effort whatsoever.
Also, the "press Q to pick up the crate" did not work. Dunno if I was doing something wrongly, but it seemed to not have any effect at all.
Hi, I didn't really feel like I needed to protect the creature - it was nigh immortal, and kinda capable of getting rid of the enemies itself, making me like "Oh well, I guess I'll just head over there and let the creature get rid of enemies." The game could really use more kind of enemies, adding more variety into the gameplay. Overall the idea is good, but I think you should add more of your ideas, make the game yours. Best of luck!
Same here, you uploaded your .exe file, and some unity dll, but not the game files, and we have no chance of running your game without them. Easiest would be to just build the game, .zip the whole folder, and upload it.
