I think I must have missed something... I couldn't go very far - just got stuck on the bottom to the left or right. How does that double-jump you mentioned work? (double-X doesn't seem to do it for me)

Loved the words, gave a nice context. Overall a solid platformer.

Didn't feel like "Tiny World" also the double jump on collecting Mario is not explained at all and I just found it through frustration and button mashing.

@schnerble: you have to collect double jump power up (near after teleporter)

@piterlouis: down arrow need only to activate swtich and teleporter

@Kimau: double jump is explained near power up.

Really liked it. I got stuck a bit at first because I walked left right away and the teleporter wasn't activated.. might need an explanation for that. Like the mood of the game and the controls are good.

I liked the game, but a lot of it is explained in static text; people don't usually pay attention to that kind of stuff in a platformer. Maybe add some new boots to the player to indicate that he or she earns double jump.

@MarekkPie: game is for a contest and made in 48hours. Gameplay is simple, so read the text is a pro: you can understand the game, like you and others do otherwise is a simple platformer

The control is very good. Graphics look nice and there is a cohesive atmosphere.

I also like the use of static text.

The teleport activation is not however very clear so it is easy to get stuck there.

Got stuck at the switch before I got double jump. Couldn't activate the switch either... I think I'm missing something. The mood is good though.

Nice mood, good graphics, somewhat fun. Restarting whenever you die is annoying, didn't end up beating it as a result. Overall a solid game though.

Oh, and I agree with everybody else who said that double jump wasn't clear. Saying you can jump further != double jump

Interesting game but the controls are not called out very well. Nearly gave up before I came back to the comments and someone mentioned double jump. There is text that tells the player they can jump higher which is confusing as that is not the same thing as a double jump. Down to activate switches was never explained as far as I noticed.
Locked my browser up at one point.

Fun game, stylishly done. I agree with other commenters that the controls aren't specified very well - double jump makes no sense in terms of physics, so I don't usually expect it to be there unless explicitly told. Some teleporters work, others don't; I assume the switches turn them on, but it would be better if they had more distinct powered-on vs. powered-off images. Also, death takes you all the way back to the start, but that can be a real drag, since some of the double-jumps are very hard. Maybe go back to your last teleport, like a save point? Anyway, clever, fun, and well-done.

Teleporters definitely need to be obviously off or on. I did get confused from going right to get the train first, and getting stuck.
I don't think I went there at all when got to the end.
I do like the static text, but sometimes they changed just when was leaving.

After a few tries I started to find the way you have to go, but since it's so easy to get stuck, even with double jump, it would be nice to not have to start all over.
The story reminded me of American McGee's Alice in a non-violent sort of way.

Good game! I spent the most time figuring out how to use teleporters and switches, but once I did that it was easy.

Not too bad a platformer, I kind of like the sad atmosphere. Some little issues I had: The sloped tiles are kind of annoying, as you expect to land on them and just fall through them into the spikes... A visual effect on the teleporter when it has been activated would be great to let people know that it is now active.
Also I completed the game without getting every toy, I missed the item to the right of the start, past the spikes but the game still was completed.
