Interesting concept, but I guess time ran out, as it did for me, and you didn't get to complete the action associated with the cards?

Interesting idea, execution isn't bad, there's definitely some potential for a fun game with some polish and better graphics :)

Cool concept, seems like there's stuff missing, but definitely has potential. Good job :)

I played your game without reading your description but now I see that it is only half-way done because of the time constraint :-)

I think this is a really cool idea, unfortunate that you did not make it in time but cool idea nontheless.

I like the racing game. It is probably fun to play with different power ups. I don't know how or when the cards that you choose would have been played but you could really make something out of this concept.

One thing about the cars, when I steer left and the go forward, it rotates counter clock wise as it is supposed to but when I go backward it must rotate clockwise when I press left because I actually control the positioning of the front tires, just like a real car.

What is missing for a complete game would be using the cards, music and sound effects, probably an AI opponent because LD games are mostly played by single players. This is really a lot to do in 48 or 72 hours but you did a great job on what you have right now. I especially like how it runs on my 32 bit XP VM and is a very small .exe. This is the way it should be, run on every Windows without any hassle! :-)

Probably should have read your page first as me and my mate were fairly confused why the pickups didn't activate :stuck_out_tongue: but it's understandable, I tried to make a card game too and also failed to implement all features. The main issues we found though, ignoring the incomplete features, was the collisions were very buggy, I managed to get stuck in the wall with no way of escaping.

Graphics are nice but could've done with a bit more polish, but I reckon if I'd spent less time polishing my GFX I'd probably have managed to complete more features of my game, so take that advice with a grain of salt. Great job

Cool game but you should probably read the description before you play

A really great concept! The amount of cards was a bit overwhelming at first. Perhaps a Hearthstone style choose 1 out of 3 would be a way to get newer players into the game. :) The controls for driving were a little finicky, it would be great to see it polished up for the future! A great job, keep making games!

Very innovative idea I must say. Btw, I also made a racing game, check it out if ya like!

The concept is great! Took me a few minutes to get my bearings and understand it all - and it's a shame the powerups don't work - but I really like the idea I got stuck in the geometry a few times, and I wish you could only race for a few seconds before going back to the card part, but it's good work!

Very very ambitious idea :)

It's a shame you couldn't get the power ups working. The idea however sounds really interesting, I'd go ahead and try to finish the game outside LD. And add an AI opponent ;)
