This was a great prototype for what could become an even bigger scoped experience.

My rule of thumb is that if I push myself to beat the game, is that I am in front of a great game, in this case it is, very atmospheric music and entertaining gameplay.
Cool little game, sad to see that there is no more content! :( Or maybe I missed something and there is only one level after the tutorial? Cheers! :)
@josemwarrior That means a lot. This is the first time I've ever used my own music so your comment means a lot :)
@tudvari Technically there are 3 levels after the tutorial but the only change is that you have less time.
I also enjoy the music ^^ it definitely helps put the pressure on. I especially enjoyed the writing giving context to the game!
I'ts always nice to have a volume control, an a nice tutorial. The music fits the moood of the game
Actually gets quite hectic towards the end! Also like how the descriptions of the broodmother juxtapose the horrific sounds she makes
This is a cool game with a really good core mechanic. It's pretty creepy and atmospheric, but all cohesive so it feels right.
I especially love the music and graphics here^^
Neat little game! Kept me on the edge of my seat, and I enjoyed the music a lot as well!
Cool concept, I could see an RTS based on these mechanics being really fun
Cool. It had enough things to keep me moving babies all the time, quite fun. The graphics are simple but understandable, I like the case where the babies crawl to. Your take on the theme is interesting, quite different from others.
The best thing was how smooth and responsive moving the eggs feel. really well done there.
For me the difficulty spike was a little much moving from the tutorial level to the next. I might suggest having the tutorial level have players juggle a pair of eggs to prepare them better for managing 3-4-5 at once in level 2.
Aside from that little nitpick I enjoyed every moment. The music was thematic and the broodmother was quite interesting :)
I really love the music, it added so much to the experience. Well done!
Cool game - gets hectic quickly with all the eggs. I do wish there was a pause button, but I understand that that may feel a little against the spirit :)
The sound design is really good. The sound effects that play when an egg enters the heat/ooze areas as well as the sound for when needs aren't being met really make it obvious what is happening and when.
Nice atmosphere, gameplay is quite engaging. Good thing you had a clear tutorial.
I would say that the difficulty on the game is not well managed (but I think it's always the hardest part of a game in a game jam : proper difficulty levels). But taking the same route as you did, instead of decreasing time I would have increase offspring required to be completed. It's not a big change but it changes your perception of what is happening a little bit. In your case, I knew from the first level that I could do all ten offspring in sufficiently little time to complete the other ones.
I've bred a good dozen of these creatures; I hope they won't harm anyone. A lovely game, heartfelt music, and interesting competitions. Great job.
The game play in not my cup of tea but the controls are responsive the sound and graphics fit the game. The levels are in needed of some variety to be more engaging. Al in al it is a great entry.
Excellent music and sound. It really set the mood and made the game feel even more hectic than it already was. Also the text above the eggs when they were in trouble was a good addition since it made it much easier to see quickly which ones to prioritize when there was a ton of them on the go. Well done!
Parenthood sure is a challenge! Nice job :)
Your game was excellent. well, programmed, easy to play, and fun as well. I can't add anything to your game pay, except to add more levels, different aliens, etc.
wow. Nailed the theme. I cant think of how i could combine both delivery and delivery into the same theme. Cool stuff. A little on the creepy side, but there are those that really like it. Nice assortment of music; solid gameplay mechanics and you definitely made me, didn't I say this already, creeped out? ;-)
Good mood with the graphics audio and music, but personally for me the gameplay was too difficult right after the tutorial. Too many eggs to manage at once made me really confused, haha. Congratulations on this delivery! Good game.
Respect for sound adjustment.
Cool creepy alien-breeding mood! Music and dark visuals add a lot. It would be cool to add some more mechanics for example something like tower defence (not very original could work well with what you already have) where your hatchlings defend mother against those enemies you mentioned. Better conditions they have while breeding, the stronger unit..? Or something like that :) Nice entry anyway, and I love the font! :)
Interesting concept! The main mechanic seems like it belongs to a cooking game, where you juggle everything at once. :) I enjoyed the music, graphics is simple and nice, the gameplay could use some extra variety, right now it becomes tedious pretty quickly. Also, is an extra egg after the failure a bug or a deus ex machina you left on purpose? =)
Anyway, here's the video of my (second) playthrough. https://youtu.be/NC0rb4a0jPg
Fun management game, really tricky once you have a few eggs going! Really enjoyed it.
