Sounds like a good game idea. I would play it for sure. Hope publishing early doesnt wreck this whole competition for you
Hello, I get the following error on the web version: ``` Error The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing: Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers) SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers) ```
Hello, thank you for the notice. Whaat browser/platform are you using? It seemed to work on firefox/chrome on win.
Rough but immersive game! But the galaxy and its hitbox is not very aligned, which makes some visually empty place blocked. That is annoying.
nice idea
For me it's working in Chrome on Windows. Sound was very nice, felt like flying around in a space wasteland.
This was fun. I appreciated the descriptions of each job and how they matched the cargo. navigating back was a little dull though, maybe you could spice it up with some sort of fuel mechanic or something. I quite enjoyed it though, and thank you for putting in the button to turn off the music. While it was perfectly fine, it was a little annoying by job four!
Obstacles such as the clouds aren't very obvious at first, and sometimes the ship collides with empty space when near them. Otherwise pretty decent game.
Good game! A bit weird, we are in space and the ship is braked as if there was air friction.
It was too hard without breaking :D
Nice game but I don't think I understand the obstacles. Some clouds I could fly into and my ship got slower, but some (empty) space was just blocked?
Yeah the random generated clouds had a bit of a problem with their hitbox, but I couldn't fix it in time :D
This is a cool game for Compo! Nice art and good background music. In Godot, by the way, you can turn off pixel anti-aliasing for pixel art in the import window when you select the desired images.
Driving the ship is quite pleasant. I really liked the danger warning and navigation around the edges of the screen. However, I didn’t initially associate sounds about the appearance of a new danger with this, since the icon was initially too small, and its appearance was completely invisible. It would be possible to show some kind of flash or blinking of the icon with animation, so that the player would initially pay attention to it.
It's very cool that there is a respawn feature, as sometimes the ship can get stuck in a collision with the nebulae. I abused it when it was a long flight back, burdened with empty boxes :D
I still wonder how you all manage to do so much in such a short amount of time. That's cool!
Nice game, agree with some others that I wasn't super sure what was a "wall" vs just background. Reminds me a bit of Subspace/Continuum from back in the day.
Good game, I found the collision on the nebulae annoying, as I would get stuck in it often and I felt like there was too much of it too. Crazy amount of content for a Compo entry. Great job.
Awesome game! I like the design of space. The feel of the ship is a little weird but other than that nice game.
Great game. Tons of content and the descriptions for every job is nice. A fuel or damage system (if you run into the clouds) would be nice, but the game is still good.
Lovely little game! Lot's of tasks to do and lot's of ways to slow you down on your way to to get to the pizza. I'm not sure if those ways were deliberate or not, but they worked hah. The background music/sound is stuck to my head now, perhaps a bit more variation to that~ Otherwise really neat game!
Cool game, just felt a little slow for me. I too got annoyed at first by the slow down in the blurry nebulae, but I once I found the route around them it was better. Excellent job on the overall feel though!
Good little game, starting the game with "respawn" was a bit counter intuitive, I also don't think the warning icons for the obstacles helped much besides confusing me at first (they're the same color as the arrow). Btw which version of Godot are you using?? I tried exporting mine for HTML5 but it just doesn't seem to be a thing with Godot 4 anymore and online seemed to suggest that that was just how it was.
@ixil-miniussi The respawn was just a button, I added it because I don't understand Godot physics enough to fix all getting stuck issues. xD So you are spawned by default, no need to respawn, just close the menu. I am using 4.0.2 at the moment and I couldn't use the LDJam html player only itch.io with the experimental feature enabled. This was a bit disappointing tbh.
Delivering pizzas <3 In space, no less! :)
Loved: - the game idea - that you tried Godot for the first time, lets go! - one preson, 48h!
The obstacles weren't very clear, I got stuck and unfortunately "Respawn" didn't work. chrome_efzQ8rZq7c.png
@mitur Thank you for playing! Oh, that's sad you ended up like that. The respawn button sometimes needs a few presses to work :D Signals are hard.
Cool game, i like the spraypaint looking asteroids/nebula! For some reason the music is really quiet though??
Excellent job! I'm glad to hear that Godot worked so well for a first time experience. I was able to deliver some pizzas! I got a little confused/frustrated by which obstacles blocked vs slowed me, but I figured it out. The text was very very small. Overall this was really successful, congrats.
Yessss! A good space delivery game! (A good one in my books is one where I don't constant smash into planets and my ship gets destroyed hehe!. This was really well-made!
Nice game! I liked the visuals and the concept. I think it was a bit hard to figure out where to go and how the collisions work. But overall cool entry :)
Congrats on making everything on your own for the compo ! I did find the tasks a bit repetitive though and at first it was not super clear what was a real obstacle (because you can fly over the space station but not the blobs of colors). Also, are the warning signs indicating anything else than the obstacles ? I like the little details, particle effect give some nice feedback about how the spacefight behaves, the little platters that follow me patiently are also fun (but at first I was confused when they didn't disappear at the end of the first delivery). Good job :)
The controls were fun! It took awhile to navigate around the large obstacles, since you can't see all of the obstacle at once.
Nice job! Would have loved a minimap or something to help navigate the area instead of constantly hitting dead ends. That being said, it felt great. Good work!
As others have said, a map would be nice, it's often a bit unclear how best to navigate obstacles. I also wish I could get new missions at destination stations, rather than flying home each time.
Overall it works great. Simple mechanics and solid implementation.
Nice work!
+1 for minimap.. those unpassable nebulas was a pain.. other than that nice game especially if it's your first one in Godot
Nice work for your first go at graphics and music. Better than what I can do. I like the chill vibe of this game. Feels like you're just cruising through space, taking in the in the scenery. Nice job!
Pretty neat! I got about 700 points before I found myself and the Iron Maiden station and decided I should just stay there. I sometimes had control issues when bumping up against the nebulas, really hard to turn, although going backwards usually got me unstuck, if a bit tangled up =). The sound effects and music were really good, music didn't get annoying, which is high praise for a jam game =).
That's a good game. I am quite annoyed by how the controls work, since they kind of drag itself when turning to any direction, and there was one time where I got almost stuck in a nebula but it's simplicity makes it up for it. Good job.
Cool game! I liked the overall atmosphere of the game, as others have said the nebulas were tricky to navigate but it did feel interesting to figure out how to get to the destination. Nice entry!
I liked the concept and graphics and implementation was solid too :). great entry!
